    Those clownfish are so adorable! But if you ever quarantine fish again, You might want to make sure to not pour the water into the tank incase of disease or the addition of copper :) Take care and hope you have a wonderful time with this hobby!

    I have had the same Kent float valve in my RODI barrel since 2004 It’s a black rectangle one. Here is a professional tip when you replace the carbon and sediment cartridges remove the rubber gasket on top and reuse the on your refillable DI cartridges. When do you need to replace them? When the DI canister fill’s completely up with water. There should be air trapped at the top of the canister.

    In a previous episode it was mentioned to have an option to quarantine with copper. I know Jimmy chose not to, but if he did, what would have been the method to transfer the fish? He wouldn’t have wanted to mix that acclimation water with the tank water, would he?

      Really not a good idea to ever mix quarantine water in with the tank water.
      Best to either use a net to get them out of the drip acclimation bucket or pour them out of the drip acclimation bucket directly into a net.

      Given that the fish coming from QT are clean and there is a very small amount of QT water entering the much larger display, it's not of concern.

    How long did you wait after adding Dr. Tim's to your DT? I am following this and it seems you add them right away other places i've read wait a couple of days.

    I would only turn the lights on to feed the fish. Keep them off the rest time with a brand new tank.

    Hmmmm. If adding salt directly to the tank water, it’s best to add the salt just before the running return pump to be sure it mixes better with the water in the display tank.

      I placed a powerhead in a section of my sump and poured the salt in there to mix before it got to return pump

    Great seeing the fish in the main tank but… he lost the bet with his wife about getting them in before Christmas. Lol

    Jimmy don’t get bully by mark. Mark sometimes is full of b.s. You are doing great, however, I do recommend not to add to much qt watery to your display tank. Otherwise, don’t be a butter finger Jimmy 😂

    Needs to learn how to count. There’s 4 clown fish, not three.

    Should not have 4 clowns in one tank, largest one will bully the others

    Trying to enjoy this series but these short videos aren't it. 9minutes for a guy to set up the water sensor and move fish from one tank to another. Pointless.

    Multiple clowns and dropping quarantine water into Display tank???? What’s going on

    • @Saltwateraquariumdotcom
      @Saltwateraquariumdotcom  ปีที่แล้ว

      nothing that should cause alarm. This tank is plenty big to host 2 pairs of clowns. The fish in QT are clean so a very small amount of QT water going into this tank isn't going to cause issues.
