I have this rifle in 44 magnum. Had it for about 3 deer seasons and me and the wife have taken several deer with it. Recoil isn’t bad and she’s about to take it away from me. I use the bear creek ballistics 225 grain copper and it does a fine job. last season I got the 300 blackout pistol version. Got a year and a half old buck at a little over a hundred yards this season off a bog death grip. Liking my CVA’s.
The 44 was the other one I was going back and forth with between this one. The length is what sold me on the 300
I had a H&R 300 blackout several years ago and sold it, mainly because the trigger sucked badly. This was a great video and makes me rethink getting a 300 upper .
I can’t complain about the trigger on the scout at all. My daughter has taken several big whitetails with her 300 blk AR and a 110gr GMX bullet. It’s very capable

I've thought about getting one of those in 35 Whelen, but that might take away from the "fun to shoot" idea. I'll have to check out all the other cartridges it's cambered for, seems to be a lot of quality for the money.
I was looking hard at the 44 mag too, the deciding factor was the compact size the 300 came in. I wish they would do a 16 or 18” 44 mag

I have a cva Ellie stalker in 444 marlin those are good rifles.

@@thegundungeon yeah it kicks like a mule but it’s accurate at 100 yards and the trigger is sweet.
I have to say i have that scope it came with my cva cascade. And it is quite nice i put it on my 17hmr the very fine crosshairs are awsome for 17 and glass is clear
Nice and compact for a pack or easy to use in a tree stand
It’s hard to portray just how short and compact this thing is on camera. It doesn’t hit ya til you hold it.
Started to watch this earlier but had to get to an appointment. Definitely looks like a fun little rifle with the right optic. 300 BLK doesn't wow me over but I could see having one in 350 Legend. If you could rechamber it a 300 Blk to 30 Herrett or 30 HRT would also be highly intriguing.

I was on the fence between the 300 and the 44 mag. The length of the 300 is what won out for me. A 16” 44 in this would be sweet!

Not trying to put anyone on a different channel; there are two TH-cam video, that show this gun suppressed; Administrative Results and Backfire. Like the Ruger American Ranch gen1 in 300bo suppressed, it’s awesome.
Getting one of these on 35 Whelen, because it’s longer shooting than the 45-70. At $309, I might get both
Look at one of these at gun shop talk about a pack gun. Iv though trade my 300blk ar15 for one at one time. Think do get one looking into a straight wall case version. 300blk pistol theo would be cool of this.

When this weather dries up on a day I can shoot videos I plan on doing some work with it. Been so wet lately I’m stuck to inside videos or short standing ones outside. It’s coming though
@@thegundungeon I own the same gun in the pistol version. 125 gr TNT's over an almost max load of Lilgun and 190 gr Sub-x over a subsonic load of CFE BLK does well for me. Also the 208 gr ELD M over a subsonic load of CFE BLK is crazy accurate.
@@stevekynard6658 I happen to have some tnt loads that are probably real close to that. I have a good assortment of bullets and loads to try, hope to find something it likes and then work from there with a fine tune
