Can't wait for 1997! NASCAR is most certainly going to be in a better situation by 2024 compared to NASCAR in real life. For broadcasting in the SNL timeline (I would like for that to be covered), I speculate that Neil Bonnett becomes a broadcaster for TNN and TBS for 1997 (since I'm guessing Buddy Baker joins CBS a few years earlier than in real life), replacing Dick Berggren (who goes back to the pits), before moving to NBC and TNT (assuming they still get NASCAR broadcasting rights) for 2001.
This is the best NASCAR what if series, I'm as excited about the 1997 episode as I am the real upcoming season.
