@@BlueCactusDairyGoats Honestly, it was probably a good thing that Abaline was also about the kid. Sometimes when you have something to push you to continue, even though things suck, can push you through to a better place me tally and emotionally. There is still work that needs to be done but when you don't have time to give up, you can overcome the tough times! Crystal didn't have time to doubt her ability to deliver kids. The greatest swords are forged in the fire! Keep up the great work Crystal. Don't forget to keep caring and loving because that is what makes you so great! Sending lots of love!

I think it’s really important that people see loss. Having animals is such hard work and it’s not always pretty to watch.
Crystal, your hubby may be a goofball at times but, he’s got your back when you need it most. He grounds you and refocuses you when you need it. Good job everyone!
Life is a hard road. For the two legged and four legged. Birthing is a bitch! Good to see you give comfort & assistance to your animals. Teaching your children. We learned all about life & death on the farm. It’s raw real life. I think we all should be raised on farms! I am glad that I was. I went into medicine as it felt so natural after providing 24/7 care on the farm.

It’s so awesome watching u do the impossible at moments when everyone is just holding their breath. And then on to Miss Abilene moments later. Cactus Goat Dairy Farm encompasses the life lessons we all need. And the crucial importance of a close knit village. We learn from u and we appreciate u.

My best guess is that the small third one was already dead - this would help explain the poor presentation, no muscle tone to help with positioning. So nothing you could have done regardless. I’m sorry. :(
As much as I would love to have a couple of goats, after seeing how much you go through; the joy of each birth and the absolute devastation with each loss, I honestly don’t know if I could do it. I would cry my eyes out for days with each loss. You have been through so much this year. I hope you realize how many babies and mamas would not have survived had you not quit your job to take care of them during this crucial time. You are seriously one of the strongest women around and a fabulous role model for your kids. Luckily, you have a wonderful husband who is always there for you! I am in awe of your ability to get through it all. Much love and respect!
We lost one during our first birth here. It was 6 weeks ago and I still cry sometimes. Death is a part of it sometimes, though I SO wish it wasn't! The joys outweigh the disappointments though.
I agree 100% on this mom being the strongest women. I don’t know how she does it. But these goat love her and love her being there when they kid
I can guarantee you that it's devastating every time when you love your animals. You just have to decide if the risk of losing them is worth meeting them and the others lives you bring into the world.
Death is a part of life on a farm. Sometimes it happens with out rhyme or reason but the good always out weighs the bad so it is worth every minute.

So amazing, the love and dedication that you show for your goat babies is beautiful. It always sucks when a little life doesn't make it but no-one could of done anything to change that. They are so lucky to have a family like you. Parts of this were hard for me to watch. I've saved so many babies, but like you I cry & grieve over the ones I can't. I have to keep telling myself that God gave me the ability to help my does & save most of the kids, but I have to leave the rest to Him! Not ever easy to let some of those precious little ones go!! 😢

My daughter just got goats. On Mother’s Day one dwarf had four! My daughter saved the last two. The third one was backwards! They named the ewe Loca, which means crazy in Spanish! They names two Salsa and Chips. I said they need to rename Loca , Holymole! She is an awesome mom, and did well with all us watching, plus the barn cat! 😅

I'm here crying cause you saved Maybelline and I knew what happened already cause you said when she first had her babies but it makes me sad for you that the kid died after you tried so hard.

One amazing strong family, and this video shows it in the most purest and concise way possible. The way everyone remains calm in the middle of chaos. The way you all pick up and continue when another doe needs you. Even though your emotions are in a valley of despair, you also feel the new rush of adrenaline and anticipation for the new kids to come. Maybaline was now diggin child birth or taking care of them at first I was worried she wouldn’t accept the girl at all. That was so intense so sad that baby died.

You guys totally rock!! I'm not a "farm kid", but thanks to you folks, I'm learning quite a bit about what our farm families do and go through to bring us fresh livestock and produce. AND the kids are very good on video, being filmed and recorded while watching Goats have babies, or watching some woman go elbow deep isn't exactly material that leads into great chit chat! "I don't know nothing about birthing babies!" Lol!
When I had my third baby I didn’t get an epidural in time and it was so traumatizing I couldn’t hold my son for 30 minutes. Weirdest feeling ever
I know that feeling. It’s hard to explain unless you have gone through it. It’s like just give me a minute to process this an calm down. I have 4 kids 2 epidurals 2 no epidurals. My 4th came pretty much just past the lobby of the hospital Delivery area. They pushed me in an exam room behind the check in desk, ripped my pants off an boooom I was pushing for a whole 2 seconds before she was out. My husband missed the whole thing while parking the car. He came back in an they were like congrats on your baby girl (we didn’t know the gender) and he was like wait WHAT? If we didn’t leave when we did she would’ve definitely came in the car or my hubby would’ve delivered her at home. Was so crazy an I needed a minute to take it in....an cry 😄
I was like that a little. Traumatic. It hurts so bad and I pushed sooo long that I was so happy when he came out healthy but I needed a minute to gather myself. Honestly just happy he was out it hurt so bad.
I'm sorry for the loss of the little kid. You saved Maybelline and 2 little kids kept their mommy. Its clear you, your husband, and children love your goats.

At the beginning of this birthing season, I did not understand why you would not involve us in the joys of the birthing of your precious new does and bucklings. I. Get. It. How foolish of me to not realize you might be trying to protect our fragile sensibilities. You treat your animals with such compassion. You are in my prayers.
