Gosh the suspense of the first kid to come out was just so intense. Plus the heads were the first to show. That is what made me nervous. Everest made mini Everests hahahaha. Great job Mayo!! Great job midwife Crystal!!🙌🏾👏🏾❤️🙏🏽🤗

I must have missed hearing what sex the babies were: one of each? two does? two bucklings? What was the result? --- Good camera work, and thank you Crystal, for filming this for us to follow. Those does really trust you and need you when the babies come (with a head and shoulder presentation on both kids, too!) Mayo did very well!!!

Wish I could ask you some questions. We got a goat that is pregnant. We are not sure how far along. I have watched tons of videos and she is showing signs of being at the end. But not very sure. I have everything ready but she is a first time mom.
Do.you have any problem.with rays or mice? I have chickens and rabbits too I HAD a problem until I started feeding the mice, Decon lol....

My goat had babies on national pie day while I was in town. I checked on her just before I left and was only gone maybe 2 hours at most. That morning I knew it would be any day because it was day 150, her ligaments were loose and her udder was huge but she never acted any different otherwise I probably would have stayed home to make sure she would be ok.
She had 1 boy and 1 girl. I kept the girl and named her "sugar-pie" for national pie day. She is half Saanen so I'm hoping to have a lot of milk in the future! :-)

That was so hard to watch, i wanted to help. I have 3 goats about to kid there first and mine 2 will just be 1 yr old and 1 1/12 yrs. i hope there is no problems

The chamoisee is horned and the red boy was polled. Yes they tear. Always worse the first kidding. They heal fast though.

I'm hoping for you that somewhere, another Nigerian dwarf rancher is having a bunch of doelings and will need a buck or two (or three or four) for their ranch. Lol. We keep the letter of the dam's name for those we retain. She was one that I had to retrieve and I was sure she was dead! We were able to resuscitate her and Miracle was what we thought initially. She was the color of Miracle Whip so.. I didn't like that.. then we decided on Mayo lol. She is also the color of Mayonnaise. Yeah it was our weird thought process that gave her the name hahahaa!

So at what point do you get involved? I wanted to burst the vault and clear the airway of caulk and fluid once the nose came out. Lol. I've never assisted goats. Just dogs and cats.
I get involved when there's no question something is wrong. It's hard to not jump in to early sometimes!!

Can goat kids be breach? And excuse me if my vocabulary isn’t correct, but I think breach implies that the baby animal is not in the correct position to exit the uterus. If this is left unchecked, the baby could be still born or, assuming the animal can have multiple offspring, the still born could delay it’s siblings, potentially kill them, and allegedly cause internal bleeding for the mother by stretching and breaking her uterus; ‘one wrong flap of a butterfly’s wing can lead to a future of downfall’

Crystal, I want to ask you something. I watch your videos because I'm preparing and educating myself for the day I have my own goats.... hopefully, sometime soon.
I watch as many goat birth videos as I can. I just watched some today that bothered me, as they don't give mama a chance to birth the kids naturally. They immediately go in (up to the elbow) and pull the kids out, barely caring of working with mama's contractions. Do you see this as problematic? I find it disturbing. I couldn't bare watching. That's why I watch your videos bc I see a very balanced and knowledgeable approach that I can learn from.
I’ve always enjoying watching babies of all animals and women as my daughters’ baby boy dr. allowed me to sit near him so I’d been able to cord his cord my son-by-law, want to watch but, I’d never got to watch my babies be birth my dr. Felt it’s so tiring on women she’d should be asleep 10 hrs. When YAHVEH added harder labor pain on women never truly realized poor animals too have to suffer to birth babies! Yet! We’d continue to have babies! Just wish is had made more babies for I’d had more grandbabies. Only four grandbabies. Two great grandchildren! If I’d could go back I’d. Birth more than Three! Taking in three homeless children was a, difficult job so I’d stopped birthing babies! All are married and with children! Each girl birth one baby. Our adopted son unlike his siblings had just three as his. Brother. His one son did have six boys! Just don’t get many visits we, them as they live over 1000 miles from us! Miss them a, lot! It’s remarkable to see how much pain these goats have to suffer such pain and as we, mommies, forget the pain and have another! Thank you for generous in allowing us to shall with these beautiful little babies! God Bless
