Totally agree. I haven't had any issues with mine over the last year or so, but man....I've heard people say they like them a lot, and others straight up shit on them, saying they're basically the worst helmet to buy...lol

Had mine for 3 years. Always went helmet free for years because I lived in Texas. Now, I live in Tennessee, where it is a helmet state. Tight putting on, but once on a comfortable fit. No vision restrictions at all. Which is the excuse a lot of my friends use for not wanting to wear one. BS…no restrictions. There is minimun wind noise. Even though I bought the music system, I don’t use it. I prefer to listen music through my fairing speakers. Music in the helmet interferes with outside ‘sounds’ that I need to hear. I love my Ruroc……BTW, wrks great in the rain.

I purchased their batman edition helmet on the day it was released and I waited over 3 months for it. I constantly contacted them for a update but pretty much got the same response every time just like you. Finally I told them I wanted a refund and then magically I got a update about my order. They said it had already been delivered and was delivered within the first month of me ordering it which is absolutely bs. Got my refund after a couple more exchange and will never look back no matter how great the helmet is!
I think the side kick would look sooo cool in one of those. I hope ruroc send one for him. The side kick is so cool he is my hero. P.s this is not the side kick.
The industry badly needs to adopt a universal communications protocol. I use a Senna given my friends also do so its the ONLY was to communicate on group rides. I agree its awkward to fit, but it is the ONLY option I have other than spending buckletloads of cash.

cardo is far better from what ive heard i dont use senna so im not sure but i do have cardo and works perfectly its not alot for what your getting $200 i dont think any com system is gonna be alot less unless its total garbage you get what you pay for. also ive seen alot ppl say senna only connects to senna but i have zero problems connecting my cardo with senna or cheap amazon com systems friends have so far ive never not been able to connect with other devices so if i can connect to friends senna i dont see why senna cant connect to other devices again i dont know much about senna other then friends have them but cardo is worth every penny
I'd love to try a RuRoc... but I honestly don't like the look of the chin bar with the vertical vents and point up in the center by the nose. If this looked a little more conventional, I'd try it over my Shoei RF-1400
I was really looking forward to the helmet but it has not lived up to the expectations I had from the reviews and testimonials. This is all from without even riding in the helmet. The quality is just not there for this helmet, especially given the hype and price point. - There is debris (dust, sand, hair) in the clear coat - The rubber gaskets don’t match position from side to side - There is exposed glue at several points on the helmet - The styrofoam shell moves inside the carbon fiber shell and squeaks - The helmet liner seems to shift inside the helmet along the mounting tabs allowing it to bunch on one side compared to the other - The shockwave system pulls out the helmet when removing the charging cable Besides the quality issues with the helmet we have had problems with the support team as well. My girlfriend placed the order as a gift for me. She didn’t realize that it came with a smoke and clear visor already and purchased an additional smoke visor. When she reached out to have it changed she was told that the order "can’t be modified" even though the order would not ship for another several weeks. Then she had to fill out paperwork for FedEx to release the package through US Customs because Ruroc didn’t provide all of them. We then received a bill of $104 for import fees because the few pieces of paperwork US Customs received from Ruroc showed them as a Chinese based company rather than UK based. Again, no help from Ruroc on this matter besides an apology and an offer of 20% off to settle the matter. When trying to return the helmet they initially rejected our request. It took several emails before they actually approved our request. They offered to "repair or exchange" the helmet or a 20% discount. Neither were agreeable since we just wanted to be done and far away from Ruroc after everything we has experienced so far. Overall, the entire experience has been terrible. Ruroc needs to do better before their fan base starts to realize how poor the quality and customer service team is.
Packaging is kinda rough IMO. My HJC Strix had full foam all around the box to secure it even more and it's only a 200 helmet lol. I'm sure Ruroc is better overall and does look 100x better. this is just packaging wise and what i experienced. I've been looking at Ruroc for a while and i might pick one up.
I've not long bought one. I think it's great apart from I feel its maybe to big ie the shape of it. When I tried it on, it felt fine but when out riding with my gear on, I find that the bottom of the helmet mainly the front bit restricts my neck movement (gets stuck on my jacket at my shoulder area) when I need to really turn my head to see at some junctions.
looks good, but does the inbuilt intercom work as well as others? Also I wonder if one can splice into the earpiece feed so to get ones riding partner audio into the GoPro?
I m so skeptic to buy this... reason the communication after purchase which most of the buyers go through plus their helmet size is so different from other brands. I have aria xd4 which has really good fit and finish
just use there sizing guide it tells you how to size your head and find the size that suits you best. cant really get any easier lol also if the size happens to be little off take advantage of there hassle free return you have 60 days thats plenty of time to try it on and know if its right or not

Hi I'd genuinely say I have an average head shape and fit in most helmets. I've used and reviewed the Shark carbon, Caberg Duke 2, Schuberth C3. Plus many others 😁. The Ruroc has already become my main vlogging lid as I'm so impressed but I've not yet used an Arai so I may give one a review/test on the channel next. 😀
We had a lot of problems with the Shockwave system. Including not being able to hear comms over 50mph that was a real shame as I was hoping for better.
I'm so tempted to get one of these but there's a few things stopping me, I've seen some people saying that their customer service and returns are dodgy and I'm seeing people having to buy a size or two up from normal so I don't know what I'd be. Still tho, I love it
Hi! I've found their customer service amazing - replies can be slow but I've had no faults with them apart from that! I was sent out a faulty shockwave- left side wasn't working- and they sent me a new one no questions asked, didn't have to send back the old one either so I had a spare unit. Honestly can't fault them for that!
Looks good, but that's it. Much marketing, poor quality for this price range. AND it is loud, comparing to my Shoei GT-Air II. It's disappointing for this price, since they claim it's 57% quieter than the previous one.

If you think the padding on the 3.0 was bad you should have bought a 2.0 like I did. Its horrendous. Thing is with Ruroc is they look awesome without question but at over £400 they are way overpriced compared to other premium makes. They are relying on there looks for sales and I would love another but until they match a shoei or Arai or HJC for build quality I am staying away

Had nothing but trouble with this social media marketing company. I buy my helmets from a proper helmet company who actually do proper R&D and not expect there customers to do it for them at there expense. 1500g is heavy especially for a carbon shell.
So the 2.0 was trash, the 3.0 was absolute garbage, but "OH LORDY LORD!! THE 4.0 IS TITS!!!" Sorry, but after paying for 2.0, a 3.0, to get a 4.0 you can be into it for $1200-$2200 in helmets...that's $1200-$2200 for a helmet. Looking forward to stories of the 4.0 exploding on impact at 20mph like the 3.0 did.
Sheeet bro you got me worried now. I've had the diablo for 2 years now. It's...... ok. To be honest the best part is that people notice you, which you want on a bike. But I love my head and you got me thinking I should upgrade. I'm Aussie too so that helmet cost me $1100 dollars!

AS for the 4.0, it's hard to get a real review on it because Ruroc has paid so many TH-camrs for good reviews, and TH-camrs who got burned last time won't touch the 4.0 with a 10' pole.
My original wait time for shipping was a month. Almost a month and a half later it’s just now shipped. Only to get held up in customs. No attempt to try to make right after reaching out to customer service multiple times. Overall shit customer support. Really disappointed.
your RHA weighs 1300 g ( +/- 50g ) and it is ECE 2205 not 2206 and since it is not carbon it does not have as good structural resistance, it is in the same price range. And for the carbon version, it is 200 euros more expensive than ruroc which automatically discalifies it because the more the same range. So really it is more a matter of taste than quality of the product.
@@marcmora5241 We are just talking about weight. By the way, I own a carbon ruroc atlas 4.0 and I must say that the quality is not at par with my HJC Rpha11. Iwon't even compare it to my shoei or x-lite 803 RS carbon. Ruroc is heavy as f*ck compared to my other carbon helmets. 4.0 fits good and looks good. But quality wise, it's not there yet.

I’ve been wearing one for years - l hide in bushes on deserted roads on the North Yorkshire moors and shine a torch at my head when people go past , convincing them they’ve seen a ‘Grey’. Backfired badly one night when some real aliens appeared and l was forced to mate with a really grim member of their party. Other than that, recommended!😉
People dont like anything that strays away from the traditional look of a motorcycle helmet. At least ruroc is innovating with D30 rheon armour in the head liner. No other well known brands dont care to do anything like that. Its about time 2023 that all helmets have some sort of armour in the head liner.

Looks really good, modern day Simpson, No sun visor is a let down though, which i find really useful when riding home on a summers evening when the sun starts going down or is low in the sky. I use a Simpson and a Shoei GT 2 Air, depending on what bike I'm riding. I was hoping this Ruroc Atlas 4.0 may replace both, but the sun visor is the deal breaker for me and at £475 plus £50 for the dark visor, is a little disappointing to find it didn't have one. And like you said, taking a extra clear visor out on a ride, isn't really a option for me either.
Yep, great helmet. New to Ruroc and picked up an Atlas 4.0 Jormunganor a few months back now and just finished a 4500km ride and have to say I absolutely love it. I don’t understand all the negativity, the Atlas 4.0 was amazing 👍🏼
With the Chain app it can be any brand of helmet coms. I have a Shoei GT air 2 I haven’t tried it yet too. My Shoei helmet is really noisey with the buffeting from the Himalayan windscreen.
I have a friend with one of these and the mic is terrible when riding, to the point that you cannot actually make out words over the noise, we tested using the CHAIN app, Discord and a phone call and the results were all the same. Is your voice audio from the helmets microphone?
HJC RPHA 70 Isle Of Man Addition and I have 2 of them. Very quiet for touring and Sunday blasts out. Very comfortable and quality and safety is spot on.... Has COMMS inserts in the helmet for SENA OR CARDO comms system. I suffer with tinnitus and love this helmet... 👍
I completely disagree with this review. I sent mine back as it was the worst quality I’ve ever seen in a helmet. The lining didn’t fit properly, the vents were not lined up properly or straight. Everything about it just felt cheap. It also looked massive compared with every other helmet I’ve ever owned. The chin section was also sticking out into where it could be seen every time I looked down.
Wonder how honest its is when you get given the product for free 🤔 like the looks of it but theres that many horror stories of customers service, quality. Dont think I'll chance it and I live in the UK, where there based.

The tinted visor is classed for track use or show use in the uk. But that being said it’s find to use in the day time but not at night.

I went through 3 helmets in 8 months. The lining once removed to install the speaker's. You will NEVER EVER get it back in right. Ever.
But what about the sound system???
We had a lot of problems with the Shockwave system. Including not being able to hear comms over 50mph that was a real shame as I was hoping for better.

Sorry, but after paying for 2.0, a 3.0, to get a 4.0 you can be into it for $1200-$2200 in helmets...that's $1200-$2200 for a helmet. Looking forward to stories of the 4.0 exploding on impact at 20mph like the 3.0 did.

@@TS-kb6lv Just look around online for 3.0 horror stories. They're all over. I'm not just talking about the helmet being cheap, but people getting hurt using it. AS for the 4.0, it's hard to get a real review on it because Ruroc has paid so many TH-camrs for good reviews, and TH-camrs who got burned last time won't touch the 4.0 with a 10' pole.
My original wait time for shipping was a month. Almost a month and a half later it’s just now shipped.
Only to get held up in customs.
No attempt to try to make right after reaching out to customer service multiple times.
Overall shit customer support. Really disappointed.
The helmet looks too big for your head. Helmet shouldn't be moving around your head like you showed in the video.

1500g is not light. My non-carbon helmet is 1400g.😂
My RPHA11 carbon is only 1200g.

your RHA weighs 1300 g ( +/- 50g ) and it is ECE 2205 not 2206 and since it is not carbon it does not have as good structural resistance, it is in the same price range.
And for the carbon version, it is 200 euros more expensive than ruroc which automatically discalifies it because the more the same range.
So really it is more a matter of taste than quality of the product.
@@marcmora5241 We are just talking about weight. By the way, I own a carbon ruroc atlas 4.0 and I must say that the quality is not at par with my HJC Rpha11. Iwon't even compare it to my shoei or x-lite 803 RS carbon.
Ruroc is heavy as f*ck compared to my other carbon helmets. 4.0 fits good and looks good. But quality wise, it's not there yet.
Why put all the buttons in the back where it'll be a pain to reach? Lame. Should be on the side.

I’ve been wearing one for years - l hide in bushes on deserted roads on the North Yorkshire moors and shine a torch at my head when people go past , convincing them they’ve seen a ‘Grey’.
Backfired badly one night when some real aliens appeared and l was forced to mate with a really grim member of their party.

At least ruroc is innovating with D30 rheon armour in the head liner. No other well known brands dont care to do anything like that.
Its about time 2023 that all helmets have some sort of armour in the head liner.

Looks really good, modern day Simpson, No sun visor is a let down though, which i find really useful when riding home on a summers evening when the sun starts going down or is low in the sky. I use a Simpson and a Shoei GT 2 Air, depending on what bike I'm riding. I was hoping this Ruroc Atlas 4.0 may replace both, but the sun visor is the deal breaker for me and at £475 plus £50 for the dark visor, is a little disappointing to find it didn't have one. And like you said, taking a extra clear visor out on a ride, isn't really a option for me either.
They have a transition pin lock for $100 for it. Never need to change visors again.
Why don't you buy transition sunglasses or just have a pair of sunglasses that are clear and dark lol

Yep, great helmet. New to Ruroc and picked up an Atlas 4.0 Jormunganor a few months back now and just finished a 4500km ride and have to say I absolutely love it. I don’t understand all the negativity, the Atlas 4.0 was amazing 👍🏼

I have a Shoei GT air 2 I haven’t tried it yet too.
My Shoei helmet is really noisey with the buffeting from the Himalayan windscreen.

Awful had to send it back, spring wont budge to fit the visor back on, plastic for that component is deformed
I have a friend with one of these and the mic is terrible when riding, to the point that you cannot actually make out words over the noise, we tested using the CHAIN app, Discord and a phone call and the results were all the same. Is your voice audio from the helmets microphone?

HJC RPHA 70 Isle Of Man Addition and I have 2 of them. Very quiet for touring and Sunday blasts out. Very comfortable and quality and safety is spot on.... Has COMMS inserts in the helmet for SENA OR CARDO comms system. I suffer with tinnitus and love this helmet... 👍

I completely disagree with this review. I sent mine back as it was the worst quality I’ve ever seen in a helmet. The lining didn’t fit properly, the vents were not lined up properly or straight. Everything about it just felt cheap. It also looked massive compared with every other helmet I’ve ever owned. The chin section was also sticking out into where it could be seen every time I looked down.
What about the tinted visor in nighttime?
