    A great driving video indeed. I absolutely covet getting my bus on the road. It's fun watching you pass those semi trucks. From one extreme to another, nearly overheating going up the hill, jake brakes kicking in on the other side! Lots of fun. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice good to see your climbing those passes just fine. As far as fuel goes, I took a look at my discount card for some stations along 99 there just south of Turlock and it’s $4.84 with the TSD card. You may want to look into it. We used a separate bank account and we only move money into it before purchasing fuel, just in case. Never had a problem so far and have saved a bunch on fuel. We drove 6000 miles last year.

      I always check everything after stopping make sure nothing leaking, temps, smells, noises. Nothing loose, falling off etc. measure hub temps with IR gun, sometimes measure engine temps. After shutdown and cool off for at least 10min check dipstick. Rest is computers, check temps, tire pressure, oil pressure, have monitoring and alerting of anything out of bounds going down the road with custom built glass dash.

    I love your videos. Do you record your mileage at every fill up? Just wondering what your average MPG is.

    • @ThisOldBus
      @ThisOldBus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually right around 6-7 mpg. That fill up was 5.9 mpg

    Scott I watch them all. Did you fix that overheating problem? How about the leak problem?

    • @ThisOldBus
      @ThisOldBus  ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a TH-cam short recently about the hot engine light. We fixed the leak in Q with some Dicor.
