- In this video I discuss how the backhand disc golf form is actually two parts. These two parts increase your speed and spin on the disc. You must rotate your body and then rotate your hand around the disc.

Thanks for the videos
. I havent been able to play lately and need to get back out there. I'd pay for a lesson or 2 from someone if I had money to pay for disc golf lessons 😊
Road to 400' continues
It takes time and fieldwork! I really do believe that most people are capable!
There are some free resources that can help you out as well such as the discgolfform subbredit. I got a lot of good advice by putting a video of my form there.
I would say the biggest thing to learn is rotating the upper body against the brace foot/leg. Once I learned that everything else fell into place.
Yeah its wild the difference it makes. I agree though that you only have to focus on a couple things and your body learns the rest.
I think they’re both pretty necessary. I gained probably 100 consistent feet in the last week, by adding snap like he’s talking here. Just threw a ~460 foot drive today, and a week ago I was barely consistent to 300.
WHOA dang man congrats! Thats a SMACK
@@hotbeefdiscgolf I got annoyed at my buddies out driving me and spent the whole week in the field. It’s been… helpful.
Still a beast. At 34 I could do it but would need some ice!
Here is my beef! When you threw your hex standstill, it looked like you were rounding. Also you did throw 300ft .
I might have! Going to work on it and try again.
Keep up the great progress, it will payoff.
TY TY 🤝
In the slow mo, you are dropping that elbow a bit much. Breaking the swing plane, forcing some external shoulder rotation into the hit. Kills the whip a bit, like last second trying to shake a whip off plane. Bet you could get another ~30 midrange distance just fixing that.
Dang I gotta do some work on that. Form is still a work in progress! TY 🤝
@@hotbeefdiscgolf I've come to accept I'll probably always be working on something. I only noticed it from you cuz it's my current muscle memory project for myself
haha yeah always something! appreciate the heads up
