The last British mounted units used in battle were deployed against the Vichy forces in Syria. A number of mounted Yeomanry units were sent with their horses to replace the regular cavalry who returned to the UK for mechanisation.
Thanks for this and comparing Warlord to Artizan, I’m looking to do French desert forces in the future. I’m using a Bierlet with my force instead of the Panhard though.

The FOW book Burning Empires has info about the Vichy and the French that fought with the allies in Syria .

I Have an all Senegalese Vichy force, set around the battle of Dakar (1940) using Perry miniatures and a Renault FT (WW1) tank.
Excellent! The FT is a definite addition once the initial force is finished.
