Looks really nice! I've been thinking about some of the sci-fi sets for use with Infinity, I have a couple of Kallax cubbies for terrain so stuff that's mostly flat-packable is ideal. Tip for card terrain: if you're worried it'll get dented and frayed with use, get some thin superglue with a brush applicator and just run the brush down all the edges. It dries quickly as the card wicks it up, and it seals the edges with a durable finish. Do this while the slot-together stuff is disassembled and you can take it apart and reassemble without worrying so much about damaging the slots.
Looks really good. Looks like it was designed with the user experience in mind. Loved the look of some of the other Battle Systems stuff at the end too, especially that 3d dungeon construct.
Yeah that 3D dungeon set up is is mega! I’ve been pretty impressed by the card terrain tbh, especially as making and painting scenery is a big love if mine, but if it’s not your thing this stuff is perfect
Good to see a full unboxing - as you were doing the assembly I had some axieties about whether it would all fit back in the box but looks like it goes back like a charm. Would be good to see a playthrough too.
It’s super well thought out from start to finish, The video had a danger of becoming super long, as I was planning on putting in a play through and a paint guide, but I think they should be videos in their own right
Battle systems is top notch. We use their stuff for Fallout, our Spelljammer D&D campaign and other wargames I've failed to get my friends into. Great product for people who are not artistically inclined.
It really is a great way of building a lovely set up, especially if your low on time or skill with scenery building. Pleased to hear you got some great set up for your games
Yes! Maladum 😃 Great unboxing Peachy 👍 I've recently got the KS version (basically A LOT more stuff! 🤪) and been playing a few games with my other half - great fun and she doesn't usually play many miniature games either, so must be good! 😁
@@PeachyTips gives me the old school Heroquest vibes. Especially with the character cards, but with proper inventory space. I think this is going to be a purchase for me.
Battle systems is good, I have the castle walls and it is more durable and sturdier than I thought it was. They also have some sets that work well with Fallout.
Really fun unboxing and run through, loved the format! All the Battlesystems games seem to be very well polished all round packages with some really high quality bits in them. I love the terrain, its so useful for so many games, super quick to setup easy to store and looks great with no effort! The corespace scifi scenery is fantastic, hope you get to check that out too!
That does look tempting. I, too, have dismissed cardboard terrain in the past. However, this looks really cool. I think I was looking at some Battle System terrain when I bought the Fallout minature game. Their shanty town looked great.
Corespace was my solo game during the covid era, so if Maladum lives up to the fun I had playing what was essentially Firefly... I'm in. As far as the table goes, they give you two so that you can glue one to the bottom of the lid so that it doesn't slide around.
I bought a bunch of their ruined village and castle stuff for Frostgrave and really like it. But i really recommend to tone down all the cardboard edges using a brown marker and painting the clips a dark brown color (especially the light grey ones).
I bought some of their sci fi stuff for Stargrave (I love making terrain, but inside sci-fi stuff is too much of a faff), and it really impressed me! I recently grabbed their Northern Settlement and a few rivers and roads. Really enjoyable to put together, got a brown and grey marker pen for their edges, and it looks fab!
Pegs or Peggz ? :) Seems like a neat gateway into the merry world of Dungeon Crawling, unlike the 40k Boarding Actions terrain set, which is great, but you have a metric ton of plastic to cut, clean and glue, not for everyone, certainly not entry level. And you don't need 8 different rule books to play a game :) Not seen the new Hero Quest, but def giving off the OG game vibes, and that is a good thing.
This looks awesome! My wallet already cries between my Warhammer and Kickstarter board game addictions. I'll have to keep an eye out for this at the FLGS.
I like the choosing of class separate from the character. So many pieces though... what's the setup and takedown time. It doesn't strike me as a 'break it out after dinner' game. The only reason I would ever want a mansion is to be able to leave all of my games out ready to play.
So the set up from opening the box, punching everything out of the sheets, and building a dungeon was about an hour, but after it only took me 20 mins to make a set up, and breakdown was about 10 mins, so not really along time in the grand scheme of things
That’s a shame, I can understand the trepidation, I’ve not touched bloodbowl since I had an utterly boring and shit game, so I can totally appreciate the impact and reluctance. But I reckon you’ll be surprised by this companies product, i prefer making plastic or scratch building scenery and painting it, but this stuff is excellent. If your ever at an event and there there it’s definitely worth taking a look at their stuff

Stop (don’t) making such convincing videos. My budget cannot handle much more of this!
Hahaha! Sorry I need to share this love/problem with others 😂😂😂
I have a similar issue 😅
Yeah, I bought Frostgrave because Peachy "forced me too". That is my story and I am pretending it's true.

This is super smart advice Jake! Thanks for sharing that gem 😍👍

So nice to see a nod back to the "only hands" days ;-)
😂😂😂 I didn’t even think about that hahaha
I did the kickstarter for this box and the dungeon set! I look forward to receiving it soon. Good to see that you can recommend it 🍻
It’s a fantastic set, I wasn’t even aware they had a sci fi version, so that’s now on my Xmas list lol

I love painting minis but hate painting terrain, so I have loads of Battle Systems terrain. It’s great, and as always, so are your videos!

Fun review! Game looks fantastic! Looking forward to more battle reports! Warrior Peach to the rescue!

Yes! Maladum 😃 Great unboxing Peachy 👍

The scenery seems really straightforward and still looks really good, that’s impressive!
I was a bit sceptical at first, thinking it might be flimsy and easily bent….but no, proper robust stuff

Yeah I’ve heard a few folks say they use their stuff for fallout, smart
My KS arrived a couple of weeks back, bloody amazing game.

On the back lf this I’m definitely gonna get Core Space, that new dungeon set up, I suspect I’ll have boxes full of Battle Systems terrain soon
Looking forward to this game. I really like the dungeon terrain set.
ok got me sold on that, ordering , minis look great for long painting sessions

We use a lot of battle system buildings for when we have large set piece battles in our Pathfinder games. They also look aces on a Warhammer board
When you have a whole set up
It just looks mega!!!

I got some Battle System terrain for my Old World board and am a big fan and this game looks really fun
I’m really eager to get some games in, I can’t express how much I love the whole character dashboard aesthetic
Damn you peachy, only last week I said that I was not going to buy any more large sets miniatures!!
This does look good.
ooph, I backed this at the "way to much money level". glad it looks this good
I think you’ll be pretty pleased with it tbh
Battle systems are great. Brilliant company with outstanding scenery at anproce that doesn't make your eyes water.
Proper hobby and gaming company.
100% fully agree with this

Yeah it’s been mentioned by a couple of folks that they got into it during covid, I’m annoyed with myself ive only just stumbled across it
Have you had a look at Core Space?
I have since filming this, pretty bloody awesome
Heart throb ❤
"roleplaying" in "dungeons" huh, interesting
😂😂😂
I was tempted by this but I have had very negative experiences with cardboard terrain and this put me off.
