Saw a poster for this production in the RCBC plaza while I was there to watch the 2024 OOTI production, and I remember wishing I could watch it as well. So I'm pleasantly suprised to have found this! The vocals and the costumes are amazing, Raki Vega's Waiting for Life is one of the best I've ever heard. Same for Mama Will Provide. Love this so much! Thank you for sharing 🤍
Thank you for uploading this. It seems like the last broadway revival (2017) was based on this as the vocal and musical arrangements sounds very similar compared to the original 1990 production. Although this was lower budget but it sounds comparable.
What a great production! I'm hoping it was a final dress, since the audience seemed very sparse. I got to see the original B'way production because a friend was in the cast. Later I got to witness legendary Lilas White (replacement for Asaka) bring down the house with "Mama Will Provide" during a Mother's Day Sunday matinee!
@@markespina No thank you for the beautiful art🎭& talent🎶 you and the rest of the cast members that gave an excellent performance bringing to life this beautiful and unforgettable tale. 💜👏🏼
In a 90's Repertory Phils version in Edsa Shang, there was only a circular ramp and it worked. This version highlights the talents and I still am awed :)
What's your point? It's an existing play that they have re-staged. Are they supposed to change the names of the characters in the existing play? Your comment is beyond ridiculous.

However, this is the coolest OOTI I have ever seen.

This is one of the best productions I’ve seen of this show! Vocals were on point! Bravo!
Thanks! This was such a great cast indeed. Some of the nicest people you'd ever meet too.

They sure are! Thanks for watching 🙂
Nice production!
The director Bart Guingona really did a great job in maximizing the space, the props and the actors
Miss Menchu as Erzulie 🥹
I’m a big fan of OOTI and I’m glad I came across this one. I never knew there was another production in the Philippines! 🥹🫶🏼
They really need to re-stage it again 🙂
Correct me if I am wrong: is this the 2nd production of OOTI? The first being Menchu on the lead?

House was packed - just not evident in the video. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Such a great musical indeed! 🙂
Actually this was our closing show. And yes, the theater is packed, not just evident in the video

The song “Timune” makes me ugly cry every time. Sometimes I play it just to cry

Racist much?🙄
They took the part of the Grand hommes light skin and peasants dark skin but proceeded to use the names of the BLACK peasant voodoo gods. Nope
