The Miss Saigon: 25th Anniversary Performance is a filmed production of the musical Miss Saigon for its 25th anniversary, performed live at London's Prince Edward Theatre, in London's West End on September 22, 2014.
It includes the 2-hour 20-minute production and a 30-minute "25th Anniversary Gala" featuring members the original West End cast, Jonathan Pryce, Lea Salonga and Simon Bowman performing with the current West End cast.

Because she deserves credit but isn't mentioned in the caption, Rachelle Ann Go is the performer who starts the song. Then, Eva Noblezada takes over and finishes the song.
She’s very good but she did not start it. Isay Alvarez was with the original cast.

Trivia: Rachelle Ann Go was a shoo-in for the role of Kim when she auditioned in Manila except that she was already 26. MSO called her back in after a few months to try her out for Gigi and Gigi she did with flying colors.
Tons of Kims have been older than 26, including Lea who last played the role in 2000 when she was 29. There have been professional productions with Kims in their 30s as well so it’s highly unlikely age was the reason they didn’t cast Rachelle. They likely just decided on Eva after seeing her Jimmy Awards performance and thought Rachelle would work better as Gigi.

@@marcusvonhohenloheYou know nothing about theater especially knowing that Rachelle is already one of the multi awarded singer-actress in West End and in Broadway plus she also had a stint in Sydney for world tours of her stage plays. She is a true powerhouse.

@@maximilianc9897 Isay was great as Gigi but Rachelle is untouchable. Isay couldn't sing the way Rachelle sings. Rachelle used her full voice here which Isay wasn't able to do in her younger years as Gigi.

Never really understood this song when we played this in high school but when I watched it last week, I was really moved, almost cried.
01:49 to 01:58 - The best part for me. “Dream.. the dream I long to find”.. Great accompaniment from the Orchestra.. and of course.. Rachelle Anne was hitting the right notes with great emotions. I love the last part from Eva, too! Both of them are great!! ❤️❤️❤️

I stll liked and loved the original KIM...Lea Salonga who has the voice of an angel and face at the same time❤
Gigi is actually a very complicated role because she is literally the support that would make Kim shine.
In this one song, she has to gather all the attention of the audience as her rightful claim to being crowned "Ms. Saigon" and then dim her presence as Kim enters as if Kim is just naturally the star and not because of Gigi's assist of throwing the audience's attention to her.

Rachelle wouldn’t have been handpicked for Miss Saigon if her voice and techniques hadn’t impressed the producers and the brilliant minds behind the show. She has won numerous awards for her portrayal of Gigi. Compared to her achievements in TV and theatre, both of you are nobodies.
