This show is excellent in showing the reality of Office Politics in the Investment Banking industry. It certainly is a ruthless place, stay safe out there folks!

Season 2 does a really good job at hinting at Jasmine's intellectual limitations, and her resentment of more talented people which becomes worse and worse with her abuse of alcohol and drugs. This scene encapsulates this perfectly. She looks a bit hungover, she doesn't "get" the point of the Brazilian pitch - that Astrozenica was resistant to tropical climates - and she decides to behave with random sadism even though the girl's idea was a very good one. As Kenny - sincerely or insincerely - tries to dig himself out of the pit of toxicity and resentment he's been living in, Jasmine takes his place. The directorial touch that really pins it down is how she looks kind of frumpy and haggard inside the office, but dazzling and attractive outside it. She's more comfortable socializing and being sexy, but when it comes to the hard grind of a financial job she's a fish out of water. Versus Harper, who is a force to be reckoned with inside the office but a combination of girlish, awkward, and robotic outside of it - unless she is trying to get into a client's head.

The problem with people with more paper experience that is willing to bend over backwards is that they expect everyone to do the same.. tbh, it’s result driven world..
