    Love these! Just made for 2nd time. Used the grater feature on my food processer the 2nd time (life changing LOL!). I forgot the pepper so I subbed 4 mushrooms and about 1/3 cup sundried tomato chopped up in its place. Added them to the pan of onion and carrot towards the end. These warm up easy for quick breakfast, a couple for lunch in a hurry or your veg side. So much flexibility with ingredients. Thanks for sharing.

    I just made these today with slight variations. I didn’t have carrots so I just skipped them. I used sharp white cheddar instead of feta. I did use parmesean and I sprinkled in some uncured bacon bits. They are pretty tasty and perfect for low carb or keto snacks or sides and even a couple for a quick breakfast as I try to shed a few pounds! 😉😋 There are so many different things you could put in these and I imaging cauliflower would also work well for the baskets. Oil is ok if it's made for high heat cooking.... avocado oil is. Healthy fats is ok. Hydrogenated canola or vegetable no. And olive oil turns rancid because it isn't meant for high heat cooking. Salt is fine if it's not processed like iodized table salt. Can use clean mayo and ketchup instead of what this may be. Cut down on cheese. Too inflammatory for the body if not in moderation.

    Looks great. As always I am left to wonder if this is only good when freshly made or if it can be reheated from fridge and/or freezer. We are not all a family if four. It is very helpful when recipies include storage and reheating possibilities/methods are mentioned.

      It is a large recipe. I used to work professionally as a cook & baker. It's probably fine frozen except for the dip, since mayonnaise does not freeze well. At all! The texture if the chopped eggs might be a bit squidgy, though. 😅

    Any suggestions to replace the cheeses with a non-lactose (feta & parm) version? Would love to try this recipe. Looks like it would make great ‘to go’ meals. I only know of the Daiya cheddar and mozzarella. Would those kinda b the same?

    • @MurphySullivan
      @MurphySullivan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tammyn0236 not yet A friend says if I go to Whole Foods they might have a dairy-free feta. But whole foods is far from me and kinda pricey. I did find a dairy free parm. Going to try it on my spaghetti tonight. It’s out of a shakers, so not shaved. Will try to update once I make it.

    • @amberwilliams4887
      @amberwilliams4887 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Violife brand makes a DF feta and parm block, and Follow Your Heart makes a shredded and grated (shaker) version of DF parm if you can find them near you.
      Unfortunately, if you have a nightshade issue like I do then you won’t be able to use most DF cheese alternatives because of the potato starch thickeners. In that case, I’d recommend getting some of the DF Miyoko cheeses that are cashew based: their liquid version could be added like the shredded parm (acts like melted mozz) or adding their cheddar cheese spread maybe after cooking.

    I hate broccoli - but I also realize it’s loaded with great things for you, so I’m always looking for better ways to cook it so it’s not so “broccoli-ish”. This looks perfect. I have everything - but the broccoli 😂😂. Now I wish I had some!

      @@coach2208 no I’m not. If you read beyond the “I hate broccoli” you’ll see that I say “I realize it’s loaded with great things, so I’m always looking for better ways to cook it so it’s not so ‘broccoli-ish.” I don’t like it, but I eat it. I make sure the pieces are small and I mix it in my mashed potatoes so I taste more mashed potatoes than broccoli. If I cut in very small pieces and mix it with anything, the broccoli is no longer overwhelming my taste buds, and it’s tolerable. It doesn’t hurt to have more than a couple ways to eat something you don’t like, and this absolutely looks like a perfect way to get broccoli into my system without eating it “straight” so to speak. 😁

      @@coach2208 you’re going to frown on this, but I like all my veggies (at least the ones I eat) well done. Like mushy. I do like garlic so I’m going to give it a try. Generally, I pick 75%of the broccoli out of the Chinese food. It’s way too much broccoli. But I’ll give it a try. Italian green beans, cabbage, collard greens (I have smoked ham hocks simmering on the stove right now)escarole, and Lima beans in small amounts. And spinach- but I mix that In mashed potatoes too.
