    1:47 I should point out that if you shine a light under your nails, the light will reappear again from your nails. The proximal and medial phalanges, which absorbs light much more than skin, fat, and nails, make almost the entire width of the finger. But the distal phalange isn't so big (except for the thumb) so light can scatter around the bone and into the nail. Which is why shining a light onto the underside of your nail produces a bright pinkish-red color.

    This series is seriously so great. I got a bit lost on the explanation of normals in a previous video but all of these explanations with real-world examples are really helping.

      Thank you! It's definitely a lot of concepts coming at you very fast! I tried to make these short enough that you can re-watch them a couple times if needed. Glad you've been enjoying the series! :)

    Is this why a thick object such as a rock is hotter than a thin object such as a leaf, while getting the same sun ray exposure ?

    • @GetLearnt
      @GetLearnt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say that's at least one reason! Because rocks are much denser, the energy travels into the surface of the rocks and are absorbed, resulting in heat being trapped. Whereas with a leaf, the heat is almost able to pass through it relatively freely.

      @@GetLearnt Ahh yes, if I can I will help, I appreciate art a lot, and I practice a lot, when I see quality content, interesting and that can help many, I always share it, I really appreciate your videos, always have very interesting tips and information, not only for 3D , but for application in general art. As for subtitles, at first you only need to activate the automatic transcription of the you tube itself before publishing the video, then check if all the words are correct (it often happens to subtitle something wrong, but the algorithm is constantly updated), but if you need reviewing the translation, would be happy to help. In my country, many people consume art and information like the ones you provide, it would be of great help for them to consume videos like the ones you make (and few people understand any language other than the local Portuguese lol).

      Thanks for the info! I really haven't played around with the subtitles feature of YT, so I'm going to take a look at that more over this next week here, see if I can update some of these videos. Appreciate the support man, hopefully I'll be able to get things translated well enough. :)
