4:25 I love this scene, because you literally walk up behind this guy while he's on the phone. "Nah, everything's under control. We don't need reinforcements." "Turn around very slowly." ".........Damn it." I tend to lean toward paragon but, I pushed him out the window on my first play-through. Garrus' reaction made me laugh. "Harsh, but, I guess he had it coming."
Nah, nah, throwing him out the window’s funny, but the intimidate option’s plain badass. She’s just like ‘What do you think you’ll sound like when you hit the ground?’ Whilst she’s pressing mercenary against the window. He just walks off scared shitless.
@@kevinc.cucumber3697 it is boring. But ME morality system punishes not min-maxing and going through the renegade route is uncomfortable for me in lots of places. Sometimes I just wanna let Garrus kneecap a scumbag but I had to worry if I have enough points to resolve Tali's loyalty mission.
I've always pretended the interrupts are actually built into Shepard's cybernetics. There's some software running in Shepard's subconsciousness which analysis social interactions and beeps to let Shepard know who to punch/diplomance.
Fun thing is that Legion has dialogue recorded for every mission in the game. If you use a Save Editor and bring him to meet the "Biotic God" volus, he'll say "The first thing a God masters I himself."
HER SMILES TOO LMAO. It's even funnier when you realize that the animation is actually a gesture, but BioWare added the gunshot just to make her causally shoot the merc lmao
The "You're working too hard" is the only one I do. In my headcannon, sabotaging the chopper is a critical decision for Garrus' survival. (Even if it's not)
i didnt even know what i was doing when i pressed those, i assumed they were qick time events. so i pressed them whenever i thought i would die not pressing them lmao
Wrex is old as shit, mutated by the genophage, and only one of his hearts work. Grunt isnt just fresh meat, he's clone trooper perfect, and the genophage doesn't affect him.
I tend to be Paragon, except when it effects combat. My Shepard takes the Hero title seriously, but values lives over honor in combat. Combat pragmatism all the way.
Also, what sort of BS was that at the Quarian ship? Just say it "Kill me and my ship explodes your whole fleet. Even if a couple survive, you will be hunted down as easy prey by Geth, humans and whomever else wants to keep you as a pet. Plus, I already came back from the dead and only got stronger for it, wanna test that again?"
The interrupt with Grunt's introduction is the best. It demonstrates that Shepard won't take any crap, but it also shows off how tough Krogans are. Second is everything involving Garrus. You take advantage of the enemy's carelessness to make things easier for you and him.
+JediKnightwing She really does make the best Renegade. Renegade FemShep makes a fun and funny playthrough. "Sorry Im having trouble hearing you. Im getting a lot of bullshit on this line."
Jennifer is more versatile than Mark. When she goes into that soft-spoken, whispery type voice she can make it sound sultry and dulcet or icy and unfeeling depending on the context.
How the heck have I missed the interrupt to shoot Grunt when you wake him up? Here I was being all impressed with Shepard for pointing a gun at his stomach. Never knew you could actually USE it.
5:43 Shepard hit him in the back of the head, his face stared to bleed, Assassin's Creed 2 anyone? (I'm referring to the fact that some people were stabbed in the back or were poisoned and their chest were covered in blood.)
Shepard does such badass stuff as a renegade that he has singlehandedly begun to make me start doing not-so-moral choices in games. Props to Shep for making me come outta my shell a little.
Be at peace, no one will hurt you.... SHEPARD PAWNCH!! Renegade interrupts rock. I especially love "show me yours", and shoving that merc outta window. And the one during Thane's loyalty, which I never take, but still find badass
I find it funny how shields magically stop working when Shepard shoots someone mid conversation. I guess shields need to be lowered to transfer words or whatever.
I always play a Paragon/Paragade Shepard, but I will never not choose the Renegade interrupt for Garrus's recruitment mission when that batarian calls your a stripper. Fuck playing nice, nobody talks to me that way and gets away with it! Same reason I will always choose Renegade responses when dealing with Harkin in ME1 when he tries to flirt with Fem!Shep. I also often do the Renegade interrupts to take out enemies during cutscenes (like that one krogan in Mordin's loyalty mission) just to save myself the inconvenience of having to fight them. *shrug* My Shepard's a pragmatist, I guess.
Honestly as much of an asshole move it is when Shepherd interrogates Mouse aggressively like that I think it is the right option to do because Shepherd is right. They really don’t have time for that crap. Someone’s life is on the line.
I actually remember when I was playing Mass Effect 2 for the first time (on PS3 so I didn't play the OG Mass Effect), I thought that the interrupts were necessary to progress and didn't fully grasp that Renegade interrupts were meant to be crass or abrasive actions. So I was shocked when I did the interrupt for Miss Al-Jilani and my Shepard (who I was playing as a very nice person) just punched her! I outright said "No!! Why would I do that?!" The only one I had seen and done up to that point was electrocuting Sergeant Cathka. Of course, I understand the system now, but it was a funny moment all by itself.
You know, as a paragon myself, even I get sometimes tired of everyone's bullshit and let the violence do the talk. Like headbutting that krogan idiot was worth the pain.
"I've had enough of your snide insinuations."
"I've had enough of your disingenious assertions.
"I've had enough of your tabloid journalism."
It never gets old...
*dodges punch*
"NOT THIS TIME"
*gets punched anyway*
psychee1
I hope there's an easter egg to this in Andromeda
The verbal smackdown is better tho.
That with the Krogan, should probably have ended with shepards skull cracking.
"Show me yours, tough guy. I bet mine's bigger."
gold
DICK JOKES.
I wish there were more dialogue options where you threaten to cough everywhere when dealing with Quarians.
5:01 "Be at peace. No one will hurt you."
... You haven't been paying attention to who you're working for, have you?
"I like this human! She understand!" Love Krogan.
same lmao
Renegade playthrough:
ME1 Smart-Ass
ME2 Bad-Ass
ME3 Ass
ME3 - Space Hitler
ME1 Space Racist and Jerk (mostly to the council)
1:33 Miranda knew what was coming and didn't want any part of it.
Kobobble lol
Kobobble I noticed that too😂
Kaila Young
Did anyone saw grunt in the background he was like yeah!
XD XD XD
Edit: 1:48
Meanwhile, Grunt is like "Hell yeah! Nice punch, Shepherd!"
4:25

I took Jack on this mission and I loved her line after this.
1:45 i like how grunt got happy when you hit her lol
Oliver Lluberes lmao ikr
so funny 😂
He is so pleased!
That's perfect
1:47
lol the way grunt punches his fist.
TeerapatGT He’s such a happy little baby
Samara: "Be at peace, no one will hurt you"
Shepard: "Hi, I'm no one"

The window scene was too good to pass up.

Yeah, just because you're kind, open-minded and tolerant of others doesn't mean you have to be a weakling.

Ooh! Clever!
I really like this!
Thats pretty good
Yeah I really like that I feel like Cerberus put that in shephard in the Lazarus project.
You roleplay better than me
7:22 Probably the most badass moment in the entire series. Next to Kai Leng's renegade kill.
goreycinema Yeah, I always renegade kill Kai Lang.
The minion behind him is just going 'Nope.'
@@RevolverOcelot1 me too
“That was for Thane, you son of a bitch!”
When shepherd punches the reporter Grunt is like “YA THAT IS MY MOM!!”
3:36 wow nice weapon Jack
Ha.
Robert Ravic pew pew pew pew
Air gun, Jack has it.
I love that picture.
+Robert Ravic Fuckin Shepard dissapears too, lol.
+Robert Ravic You would think Biotics would be able to shoot bullets from their hands like actual guns.
1:48 Grunt: "Fuck yeah! Do it again!"
AHAHAHAHAH
Back when Bioware wasn't afraid to let players roleplay as characters full of hate.
2:54 the renegade action isn't shooting a mech, it's using garrus's rifle without his permission!
Lol that Shepard, should be called "dr chakwas: the early years"
7:00 never gets old.
Fun thing is that Legion has dialogue recorded for every mission in the game. If you use a Save Editor and bring him to meet the "Biotic God" volus, he'll say "The first thing a God masters I himself."

Jack with the invisible gun ftw
She can dream, can't she?
And Shepard straight-up vanished!
The "You're working too hard" is the only one I do.
In my headcannon, sabotaging the chopper is a critical decision for Garrus' survival. (Even if it's not)
"Renegade" isn't necessarily "evil" until ME3. ME2 Renegade is just being ruthless.
i didnt even know what i was doing when i pressed those, i assumed they were qick time events. so i pressed them whenever i thought i would die not pressing them lmao
I did on my first playthrough too
it wasn't till youtube taught me otherwise did I lean they were not quick time events
Joshua Plyman yeah it was funny when that one enemy just shot at us and the all three of us just lit her up.
I was wondering why I needed to push that guy threw a window?
Grunt at 1:48 get rekt
Take your shitty slang away from here
Ethan Connor u mad m8
Mrpaulojorge97 Do you even game Bro?
"... or I'll take off this mask and breathe germs all over your nice, clean ship."
That threat aged remarkably well.
Love how Wrex can be taken out by a single shot in ME1, but Grunt can take a fair number of point blank hits TO THE FACE and just shrug it off.
Wrex is old as shit, mutated by the genophage, and only one of his hearts work. Grunt isnt just fresh meat, he's clone trooper perfect, and the genophage doesn't affect him.

Shepard: *delivers smashing uppercut to Telon's head*

Grunt in the background when you punch the reporter.
I like how Grunt does his little psych-out dance after the punch.

My Shep is always full Paragon...
I just realized she performed many of these renegade interruptions XD
2:03 come on, why is this renegade?
idk
+OneManArmy ugh, well, you know - dirty talk doesn't fit right into a paragon Shep motto.
Poision Apple
I guess I prefer the "snark knight" type character. Being very snarky and deadpan, but nevertheless being a paragon.
OneManArmy Because pulling your gun out and intimidating someone isn't Paragon regardless of circumstance.
I agree ... a lot of the times, the seperation in paragon/renegade just doesn't make sense in the original trilogy.
1:49 Grunt: (lock fists) HELL YEAH!
I love how Shepard's expression is frozen in this video. Uncanny as hell.

I only do renegade options when I'm really frustrated, but not against my own crew of course.
3:30 Goddammit Jack...
Shepherd: You're working too hard.

I love the bonus scene. One of my favorite ME2 lines was the meager little "charge" you say to that guy before sending him to fizzle out.
Even though paragon. I usually choose renegade if there is a clear benefit. Shooting a tank to light a krogan on fire. Firing first on the enemy.
That salarians face as body goes flying past him gets me every time 😂
6:47 that stare tho
Goddamn that is one creepy slasher smile your shep is rockin'.
