I've always pretended the interrupts are actually built into Shepard's cybernetics. There's some software running in Shepard's subconsciousness which analysis social interactions and beeps to let Shepard know who to punch/diplomance.

I tend to be Paragon, except when it effects combat. My Shepard takes the Hero title seriously, but values lives over honor in combat. Combat pragmatism all the way.
How the heck have I missed the interrupt to shoot Grunt when you wake him up? Here I was being all impressed with Shepard for pointing a gun at his stomach. Never knew you could actually USE it.
I find it funny how shields magically stop working when Shepard shoots someone mid conversation. I guess shields need to be lowered to transfer words or whatever.

Killing Elnora is possibly the only “net Paragon” Renegade interrupt in the whole series. In ME3, if you spared her, she emails you, talking about how she loves murdering people and being a merc.
You know...I loved playing Paragon. You feel like the hero who saves the galaxy n shit. But if any of the things in ME were real, the real Sheppard would be Renegade. Maybe not 100% but around 70% renegade. There's no fucking way you can save the galaxy having to deal with reapers, murder, blackmailing, interspecies tension, cerberus and a tight schedule being a care bear.
