    Will this work if you don't have an active landline, but want to direct your cellphone service to your cordless phones?
    Also, being that this video is a few years old (if one doesn't need an active landline phone number), do you have recommendations on similar device/brands to buy to turn POTS phones into a Bluetooth connection?

    Love the Star Trek TWC Communicator. I have one as well which is why I want a Bluetooth device that can turn my landline handset into a Bluetooth phone. The FCC ID on the back is a nice tongue in cheek ID number that the FCC actually let them use(2AFJA-1701). I have the 2019 version though.

    I LOVE the Cobra/Ericofon! I first saw one on an episode of the Twilight Zone and Googled like mad to find out what kind of phone it was. Original or not, nice find! Obviously, I am a phone dork (corded phones) and while I have a Magic Jack (so I can use my corded AT&T), I wanted to know more about the "Cell2Jack" without watching a 20 minute video. Thanks for all of the info I needed! 🙂

    I have a question that may seem obvious to some but I'm getting this for an elderly person who does not have a landline phone jack. If I buy a landline desktop phone (not a cordless desktop) that normally powers up through a phone jack, can that phone be used and receive it's power source from cell2jack that is plugged into the ac power source? I'm trying to power a desktop phone that is elderly friendly and does not have it's own power source other than if it was plugged into a phone jack (which of course I don't have). Sorry if this is a confusing or dumb question. But it appears in this video that your red desktop phone does not have another power source other than the cell2jack. So that is where that phone gets it's power? Thanks in advance.

    • @TheHiTechNomad
      @TheHiTechNomad 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that is correct the cell to Jack actually gets power from a USB connector so it will be providing the power for your phone you do not have to have a phone jack you can't you just need to be able to plug your phone into the cell to phone

      Yes! You most certainly can! I have two rotary telephones in my collection, and when I ring them with my Cell2Jack they both ring with no issue. I can only ring one at a time, though. It will not ring both.

      Some people have an old landline phone that they wish to use. It could be that they're concerned about cell phone radiation and want to use a standard phone. Most prefer to use a standard phone for sentimental reasons go to have a conversation piece. For example my mother likes to use her princess phone from the 1960s. I have a friend who uses it with a batphone replica on his desk. Since the unit is always on as soon as you get near it it switches to the deskphone when you leave it switches back automatically.
