    Always happy to see you gorgeous self in my notifications : ) years ago i scored a 4x2x2 vertical glass aquarium on a mahogany stained wood storage base for 15 bucks at a thrift store. its perfect for a tree python but im not ready to take on a new snake atm. For now its housing my cactus garden. Also, im totally digging the rainbows in your hair 😘💞

    Hi, huge fan of your channel! Really appreciate that you do the videos to inform the viewers and their animals. I hate when TH-camrs make their videos to feel famous and to look good...you really care.
    I'm hoping in a few years I can get a green tree python if my parents agree and this was so helpful.
    Love ya,

    Hi!!! Thank you for the info! I am about to have a baby biak and just made an enclosure without removable perches. 🤦‍♀️ when I feed her, should I feed her in the enclosure or remove her and feed her elsewhere? She’s pretty handleable and doesn’t mind being touched or exploring but I haven’t brought her home yet so I’m not sure of ways to feed her. Thank you for all help!

    I’m just curious to know how should we keep the temps up if we live in Cali when during winter it gets really cold at night sometimes my house can drop to about 55 to 56 degrees just at night so how should we keep the temperature from getting too cold in the enclosure when it’s time to turn the lights off?

    😉Good thing you reminded people using C° not to use actual ovens as an enclosure for a gtp haha. Your girl sure lived up to her name, stunning too! Turning an antique cabinet into a gtp/emerald viv is one of my personal most favorite future projects. The only issue to overcome here is having a water dish/bowl up high as well coz apparently some can get dehydrated in a higher enclosures if their water source is just on the ground. Have you ever heard of this issue before?

    Chill on temps and Humidity. learned this with my other exotic animals, got some spicies from sirlaka. Sirlaka got 81% natural humidity late December, around 45% humid room "while focusing on the high heat and humidity of their natural habitat, some folks tended to ignore that the island usually enjoys air-circulating winds for most of the year.
    These dank enclosures resulted constant mention of SADS, or “Sudden Avic Death Syndrome”, the name of the phenomena where a seemingly healthy Avicularia (the versicolor’s old genus) suddenly dies for no apparent reason. The message boards and chat groups were rife with stories of these little blue spiders curling and dying suddenly and without an obvious cause. Many now believe that"
    don't spay sides in sommer or to hot weather only spike the humidity, making a sauna boks. At Winter & cold weather humidity drops down to (25-35%). Just a fun little story, nothing to do with snakes, hope some can juse it, took decent amount of time xDto prevent resbentory infection scale rot. 😇

    • @matebalogh6539
      @matebalogh6539 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In most cases its caused by too high temps. Lower your hot spot to 84. Less common reasons are too thick perches and not enough foliage (feeling insecure).

    i keep high end blue line green tree pythons. and i suggest that you put your snake into a tub setup or a pvc cage. with radiant heat panel.. no need to mist your animal. the only time i raise humidity is when breeding or the animal is in shed and i dont spray i dump water bowl on the puppy pads which i use for the substrate. i recommend you look at the morelia viridis forum on facebook youll find a wealth of knowledge on this incredible animal. also youll animal will thrive better in temps of 82-84 degrees. im breeding at this moment and my night drop is 72 degrees. these animals do better in lower temps i suggest you read the book' green tree pythons natural history and captive maintenance' it has the most up to date info on care for this incredible spieces.as for perch size they prefer smaller perches i suggest no bigger than 1/2 inch

      Setups for breeders vs hobbyists will almost always be different. Would never recommend people to NOT create a setup that would best mimic their natural environment if they are doing it for hobby/display.
