Cybertron Megatron basically pulls off the same ideas as Energon Megatron, showing off what Cyberkeys can do. Yeah it's far less, but it's a nice showcase.

Sadly it’s likely because of Animated Omega that we probably won’t see Energon Omega any time soon. We’ve had to wait a minimum of five years before Hasbro is comfortable renewing the trademark on another Titan Omega, and they’ll probably go for the one that never got a toy first.

      @DaPopeANata 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@Jazz-cd5mu While it wouldn't have been perfect, I still wish they would have turned the Titans Return Sentinel Prime/Astrotrain into an Energon Omega homage. Armored train mode with head that becomes a robot, the ability to mimic the Optimus combination by switching titan masters around, it seemed like a no brainer. And the shuttle mode could let it be a partial Animated homage as well.

I have two complaints about the Omega Supreme. First it being half blue half yellow, I prefer the Omega Sentinel color scheme. Second whether you bought the Omega Supreme or the Omega Sentinel I absolutely did not like the fact that Optimus Prime was basically hanging out of his back backside of the upper torso.

  • @ShadowWingTronix
    @ShadowWingTronix 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Then again, outside of the one Mini-Con mode you have to give the bird very thick wings to give them decent legs, so Divebomb works in spite of that oversight.
Totally agree with you on Tow-Line. I think he's underrated, but the real disappointment was that figure wasn't redone as Ironhide or Ratchet.
I actually got Omega Sentinel dirt cheap at Walmart (MY color scheme is blue and white), like $5 on super clearance or something. I could have gotten Supreme as well at the same price but at this point I was becoming aware of how little room I actually had for Transformers.
Energon Prowl is my favorite of the Energon line. Even got the SWAT version I renamed Speedtrap. I just really like that car, and his chest shield can be used in both "shirt" and "pants" modes, plus you can untransform the arms in "pants" mode to give your Powerlinked warrior four arms. And he still has Mini-Con compatibility, so you can really arm him for battle. Prowl's awesome!
Landmine is also really cool. Armored heroes are usually tops with me, and that gives him something different from the other Autobots in this line. He looks both like a heroic warrior and energon miner.
When Cybertron Megatron hit US stores we got a look at Galvatron over at Galaxy Force, and I'm glad I waited. He looks so much cooler in grey.
It is a really good Optimus Prime. He only gets cooler the more you play with it.

No notes. Comment only for the algorithm. You are right.
Edit: OK, I did have thoughts on Energon Landmine. I got (and still have!) LandQUAKE, the white and brown redeco. I like it a lot more than the orange, but I'm not a fan of orange as a primary color in the palette. I was all set to think to myself "Well, Landquake is obviously the best deco," but I think you're right. I definitely like it, but having heard you say that this toy still hasn't gotten the deco it deserves really made me think about it more. I don't know what deco would work best on this toy, but I think you're right!

2004, I'm officially graguated from High School now... 20 years ago... I feel old, thanks top 10 list. We have alternators to consider here as well as the very first Masterpiece Transformer.
    10. Rodimus: I will admit this figure has some problems especially in his combined torso mode. He's a personal favorite which is why I'm ranking him so low on my list.
    9. Divebomb: He does something different and kind of interesting with the wings becomming his legs which leads to a pretty clean looking robot.
    8. Perceptor: A nice upgrade to Armada Perceptor though I admit a bike turning into a motorcle works, a moped into a quad works, but a skate board into a hovor craft of some kind is a MUCH different vehicle and seems like it would be largely out of scale with the other two. Grindor on his own is terrible but I'm judging them as a combiner.
    7. Sharkticon: Yes half of his alt mode just folds onto his back and he's more of a sumarine than a shark but I still like this guy.
    6. Tracks: I had to include at least one alternator on my list because I personally love the fact that they're actually engineered to look like model cars in vehicle mode complete with doors that open and actual interriors. This is so rare to see in Transformers and I still say this is how I wish the live action films designs looked because these are the most realistic Transformers have ever looked.
    5. Downshift in the toyline, Cliffjumper in the cartoon, and clearly a Wheeljack homage, honestly I'd put him higher if it wasn't for the naming confusion.
    4. Mirage: He's a boat that will never float with a lot of kibble but I still like him.
    3. Galvatron: A nice homage to G1 Galvatron and I like how Energon Megatron's original colors are based on G1 toy colors and Energon Galvatron's colors are based on G1 cartoon colors adding to that homage.
    2. Wing Saber and Omega Supreme: I'm putting them both on the same slot because I'm cheating. They add to the play value if you already have Optimus Prime. Wing Saber is not a great figure on his own cause he suffers for the combination gimmick but he's a really nice looking brick. Omega Supreme is a better figure on his own and isn't really great as a combiner cause Optimus basically just fits inside the hollow cavity in his chest and gives him a tiny head... though at least it's bigger than his own head. He does have a Headmaster Mini-con partner that doesn't have a name for some reason but the neck piece he attaches to can also be popped up revealing a set of eyes so essentually he has 3 different heads.
    1. 20th Annivarsary Masterpiece 01 Optimus Prime... Honestly I do not know why they keep remakeing G1 Optimus Prime nearly every year because this figure is still on my shelf as my definitive G1 Optimus 20 years later. I never understood why he's got Starscream on his communication screen on one arm but appearently there are variants with different stickers on this pannel. There's hidden molding under his mouth plate which you'd never actually see normally. It's not easy to take off his mouth plate but it is do able. I accidentally broke something inside one off his legs because the instructions were unclear that there's a button you need to press to unlock them and I kind of forced that transformation joint breaking the locking mechanism before I realized. Despite the issues I'm still putting him as number 1 because he's never been dethroned. They've been making modern versions of the G1 Optimus design almost every year for the last 20 years and I've still never seen one that made me go, yeah that's worth replacing my MP-01 with. And considering how much more expensive figures have gotten since then, he was $50 back then, MP-10 is like over $100 and he doesn't even have all the features I came to expect from the Masterpiece line after that first wave so I quickly lost interest in the toy line. Side note: This figure was a graduation present because as mentioned earlier this was the year I finished high school.

Prowl and Tow-Line were surprising, I've always liked Prowl however (my brother got him) & I've warmed up to Tow-Live over the years. Divebomb is still one of the best figures for its size. I preferred the two handled Divebomb, because I could turn those into guns instead of a bladed weapon, which I thought was better
Towline is fantastic, but his name is dumb. Something like Newsflash would have been better
Omega is fantastic, especially his lateral docking trick. He’s a great homage, though his combination with Prime is lacking
Mixed feelings on Prowl. He is a good design, but I don’t like the police aesthetic grafted to the race car.
Not a huge fan of Alternators, too complex for me. But they largely achieved their design goals
Landmine is good, but Bulkhead’s better for me.
Hound is solid. I did like him a bit.
Starscream is a solid choice, though my enthusiasm for him is a bit diminished by how long and circuitous a path it took to get him a US release.
And the Cybertron versions of Prime and Megs are absolutely awesome
Sad to see Sharkticon didn’t make the list.
I still don’t think it’s fair to pit Alternators or MPs against mainline toys though. Totally different classes of things.

Dont lie to yourself. A voyager class divebomb would be sick.
I want them to do another energon omega supreme, but dial it back to keep it plausible. Just maybe a taller leader class guy (since its so simple engineering wise without all the gears and extendable gimicks). If you cant work it into the budget, release a core class pack optimus prime from energon that can plug in to omega. (Even if its just a headmaster thing)
Hell, just give omega 2 headmasters. One for himself and one that becomes optimus
And i for one want a modern day leader class cybertron megs. He can be anlittle taller than voyager class (he was pretty nimble in the show despite being the tallest con) and then the rest is just accessories.
