Hi. I'm from England & creating a model of a Mercury Cougar. Presently writing the firmware to sequence the lights correctly I'm inquiring about the indicators correct operation, hopefully you might be able to answer my questions. 1) When indicating, does just one lamp illuminate at a time, ie, 1 on-off, 2 on-off, 3 on-off repeat. 2) At night time - with the tail lights now ON - with the indicator activated, does the corresponding three tail-lamps now all extinguish, in order for the indicator lamps to then illuminate (for indication to be seen), * OR * does [each] lamp now individually [extinguish], in the same indicating sequence??
1) The factory pattern is 1 on, 2 on, 3 on, and then all three off together. 2) They do not extinguish. When the car's lights are on they are just dimmer than when the brake light or turn signals illuminate. So with the drive lights are on everything is illuminated and then when the signal is applied they shine brighter in the pattern mentioned above.
Thanks for another great video 👍
you are welcome
Looks great. Nice technique on exposing the chrome.
Thanks
what about painting the base around the lense where it touches the body?

Why not use lacquer thinner on the rag also?
