Same thing happened to me. Sudden blow by and lots of oil spilling out of breather filter.
I had it exact same issue on 08/14/22. It reached 1167800 miles when this happened I replaced engine with used one eventually..i have another issue the used engine already,the engine vibrate while idling, rpm reads 550 while idling, when I set cruise to 800 rpm the vibration reduced.
What would cause high compression in diesel tank?

Hey my engine has this problem I drained the oil and drove 45 miles to the shop .
Que tal Francisco sabes mi camión tiene 700,000 millas le arregle varias cosas pero ahora sale el humo por el oil breaker que puede ser!
I have a dt466 mechanical engine 1year ago had a shop do an overhaul but know it’s blowing smoke from the breather crankcase tube have taken it to couple shops but no help at all . One Mecanic told me couple injectors were acting up but he never returned so I’m stuck with this problem any suggestions Francisco ? Thanks!
Man that truck looked horrible. Dirty, beat up and neglected. The guys want to make all the money and not maintain their equipment. The DD13 and 15 are good motors if you maintain them
They might be good engines but this seems to be to a common problem to often with this engine I've maintained my engine and this same problem happened to my dd15
@@jaredortiz7485 what year and how many miles did it have when the problem started? It seems like at 700k to 800k you need to plan on a rebuild.
@@haulingfuel4759 Agree. I bought my '13 with a DD-15 engine with 880,000 miles. It had been maintained by dealership and at 1,028,000 miles, she laid down. Can't complain about it, but it's currently in shop getting ready for an in frame. My only advice is at 800,000 miles, get an in frame done.
@@cumminsrealpower680 man, getting a million miles out of a dd13 is incredible. Hell, even a million out of a cat or Detroit without an inframe and new head is good. I tell people to plan on the truck being dead around 800-900k miles, junk it, or make plans to swap in a Series 60 if you can get away with it.
@@haulingfuel4759 I thought about the 12.7, but I decided to in frame the DD-15 to see how much better it will run. Has ALOT of blow-by, and I'm just curious about how much of an improvement on power and fuel mileage will be.
The cylinder liners are too thin by design flaws. Those were stress cracks, the differential between engine oil temp and coolant temp.
