I love how Harry’s relationship with Bernard is very much a Bruce Wayne/Alfred Pennyworth mentorship. Harry feels like a Spider-Man with the morality and ethics of Batman
*Bonesaw attempting to use a back breaker and choke Spiderman* Referee and Crowd: I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that. *Spiderman punches Bonesaw repeatedly until he's unconscious* Referee: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
This completely alters the moral of the story. Spider-Man was always about embracing destiny, this version seems to be about rejecting/fighting against it every step of the way. Between his dark & more violent approach towards being Spider-Man, his troubled relationship with his father & not to mention his father being the Green Goblin, it seems as though Harry was destined to follow in his father's footsteps into becoming a monster, but between his newfound power, & the love & support from his friends, & especially the guilt surrounding his relationship with Peter, he felt a responsibility to "not" go down that dark path, no matter how much it calls out to him. With Great Power, Comes Great Resistance (if you will).
if you think about it all that changes is that it makes it harder for him to be responsible with his great power the moral isnt changed it just kind of says that it doesnt matter where you came from and who you are but what you decide to do with your life more of "its not what i am underneath but what i do that defines me"
I never saw Spider-Man as embracing destiny. I saw it as always choosing to do the right thing even when it’s hard and comes at great cost to yourself. The quote that cements this moral for me is this quote from Peter. “Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice. My friend Harry taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself. It's the choices that make us who we are, and we can always choose to do what's right.” Peter wasn’t destined to become Spider-Man. He was just a normal guy that was in the right place at the right time to get bit by the spider. And even then it was his choice what he did with his powers. Yes Uncle Bens death influenced him to become a hero but being Spider-Man pretty much screwed up his life in almost every way. He could have chosen to quit being a hero whenever he wanted and he did in the second movie temporarily. He was sort of forced to become Spider-Man again by doc ock but he didn’t have to stay Spider-Man after he rescued MJ in the second movie. If you put someone else in the same shoes as Peter they wouldn’t necessarily make the same choices as him, heck they probably wouldn’t. They would most likely use their powers for selfish gain or just live a normal life. Peter just was an exceptionally good person and dedicated his life to putting others before himself. I’m not trying to annoy you or sound patronizing. I just feel like destiny undercuts Peters character. I feel the story is more beautiful and makes Peter more likable if he chose to be a hero himself. It makes him more relatable because he is like us, he falters, makes mistakes, doubts himself. But at the same time he is someone you can admire because despite these struggles he always makes the hard choices at the end of the day.

Daniel Anderson Oh okay then. To me destiny is like fate. All of the events or a certain event of your life is set and there’s nothing you can do to change it. I never really liked the concept of destiny because I would prefer to have free will.
I love how Harry basically becomes a Batman esc hero with the rich boy and butler angle. Spider-Goblin. That’s awesome. Also I like that you added shocker to the story!

What if in Spider-Man 2 nobody survive the final fight in The Warehouse docks - Mary Jane's drowned that means her wedding would've been canceled - Spider-Man drowned that means they will have a memorial for Spider-Man and Peter Parker will be missing - Doc Ock drowned ( Like in the orginal time line) and the whole warehouse collapsed.
From the perspective of Spider-Man 1, it would be interesting to see what would happen if Harry got bit by the Spider. It would all surround his relationship with his father, or lack thereof. Harry is always seeking Norman's approval, and perhaps if he got bitten by the spider and got powers, Harry would see it as his opportunity to do the right things, help people out and ultimately, have the goal of earning his father's approval for being a good person and someone worthy of the family name. Conflict would come into play when Norman becomes Green Goblin and ends up running into conflict with Harry under the guise of Spider-Man, who keeps getting in his way. Harry and Norman would then exist as unknowing enemies under the same roof, and Harry would shatter the moment he finally realizes that his father is the villain that has been causing New York so much suffering, not just because of the horror of Norman's cruelty, but also because Harry would know that his father despised him for being the hero he was trying to be. I mean, just imagine the Thanksgiving scene of Spider-Man 1 under this alternate reality where Norman realizes his own son is Spider-Man at the dinner judging from his arm injury? The father/son dynamic between them would make this new reality an even more heartbreaking story than the original movie, because of how much Harry desires his father to notice him and how far down a dark path Norman goes while fighting Harry as Spider-Man. It'd be even more fucked up if Norman died like in the first movie, but gets stabbed by his glider while trying to manipulate Harry by saying how proud he was of Harry and how much he wanted them to have a better relationship to distract him while attempting to stab him with the glider. Through his spider sense triggering, Harry would realize in agony that his father's promises and words of affection were lies, and he leaps out of the way as Norman dies, the two never having the kind of relationship Harry always wanted. It'd be such a dark story.

I would love a Spider-Man story that begins with Harry and Peter as friends as children. Growing up together. The Amazing Spider-Man movies barely even touched on them being friends at all. So when they were against eachother there was no emotional backing. We saw Harry and Peter as friends in the Raime films, but there were still things like the basketball that hinted that they'd been friends since childhood. I think a longer, in depth origin of them both as best friends would completely shift the tone of the movies to be less about SPIDER-MAN doing whatever a spider can, and more about the impact that gaining superhero powers can have on a life long kinship.
I just loved this series, specially the fact that Doc Ock was a hero for a little while, you should experiment with that idea more: what if Green goblin _or_ Doc Ock were heroes instead of villains?

Whether if peter gets the spider powers or not, he still suffers a lot, he still gets powers, and he becomes the hero of the day, and does the right thing, peter is just different from others
It's actually a really sad version of the story where Peter turns into the bad guy and just imagining all the scenarios it's kinda disheartening to see someone I grew up watching and seeing as a role model go a different route don't get me wrong the story is great but weird to imagine
What if Gwen Stacy got the symbiote in Spider-Man 3? In this version, Gwen is actually obsessed with Peter, she’s loved him since first grade, but he’s always been with MJ. She begins trying things to get close to him, and it seems to work. But when Peter finds and seduces MJ at the nightclub, she feels betrayed and leaves, going to the church. Unbeknownst to her, Peter begins ridding himself of the symbiote, but it finds all the hate and rage in Gwen and attaches itself to her. Just a thought.
This is great work! The one thing I can't get past is that they would've definitely had to recast Bernerd cause that actor would have way too hard of a time speaking all of those lines 😂
This would be such a good movie or even what if…, thought it’s not mcu content. A movie like this would work so well. Harry is so interesting and the relationship with his father is a gold mine for exploration. Peters place is a little weird but it could be made into something very well. The role reversal between Peter and Harry is interesting because of how we’ve seen it play out the way it did. The conflict of Harry and Norman would be excellent.

It was definitely interesting mixing in not only the Spider-Man & amazing Spider-Man movies but a bit of the games, with the added spider verse comics I can't help but wonder if they'd continue with their spider verse. Especially focusing on several of their own whatif spidermen/women.
Could you do a what if on this as well? At the beginning you say when Harry got bit, Peter could have gotten bit as well. What if Harry & Peter got bitten by the spider? would you be able to do this?

This was an amazing What If series, I really liked all the development in this one, some moments in the beggning were not really working for me, but then you started tining up evertuhing in the middle and the end and the whole story works great, keep up with the amazing videos as I was watching a lot of them today haha!
Something is not right, the green goblin just make peter's Aunt May sleeping in the hospital. And after the green goblin died, peter feel sorry. Thats feels strange.
I think if Harry Osborn became Spider-Man his name would be The Spyder because he would be a Spider-Man who also a Spy (because that his family are rich he would have a lot of gadgets and would have some tech)
Thank you so much for this fan fiction. Thank goodness we have Rami Spider-Man fans like you to give such good content. You have a talent for writing these kinds of stories. I imagine it’s not easy to script the videos, and then to incorporate some comics Easter eggs and to still have great themes. The videos are very well made and very impressive.
I feel like 1/2 percent of this video is him saying “just like the original timeline” but other than that the other 1/2 percent of the video is insanely good.

It's actually a really sad version of the story where Peter turns into the bad guy and just imagining all the scenarios it's kinda disheartening to see someone I grew up watching and seeing as a role model go a different route don't get me wrong the story is great but weird to imagine

What if Gwen Stacy got the symbiote in Spider-Man 3?
In this version, Gwen is actually obsessed with Peter, she’s loved him since first grade, but he’s always been with MJ. She begins trying things to get close to him, and it seems to work. But when Peter finds and seduces MJ at the nightclub, she feels betrayed and leaves, going to the church. Unbeknownst to her, Peter begins ridding himself of the symbiote, but it finds all the hate and rage in Gwen and attaches itself to her. Just a thought.

I usually don't like fanfics, but this one is way beyond my expectation. I definitely want a comic form of this story!
I would want it as either a live action or animated movie
This would be such a good movie or even what if…, thought it’s not mcu content. A movie like this would work so well. Harry is so interesting and the relationship with his father is a gold mine for exploration. Peters place is a little weird but it could be made into something very well. The role reversal between Peter and Harry is interesting because of how we’ve seen it play out the way it did. The conflict of Harry and Norman would be excellent.

This needs to be made into a comic book that is actually connected to the spider verse
It was definitely interesting mixing in not only the Spider-Man & amazing Spider-Man movies but a bit of the games, with the added spider verse comics I can't help but wonder if they'd continue with their spider verse. Especially focusing on several of their own whatif spidermen/women.
Clean a few things up and I'd love to see this fan fic as a single run in the comics. Like a full on 'What If?' series

Thank you so much for this fan fiction. Thank goodness we have Rami Spider-Man fans like you to give such good content. You have a talent for writing these kinds of stories. I imagine it’s not easy to script the videos, and then to incorporate some comics Easter eggs and to still have great themes. The videos are very well made and very impressive.
I feel like 1/2 percent of this video is him saying “just like the original timeline” but other than that the other 1/2 percent of the video is insanely good.
