The beach is only a couple of hours away and there are a couple really nice local lakes Jordan Lake is huge. Hiking in the mountains is about two hours to the west. Thanks for watching!
Cary, where we lived near Raleigh Durham, will provide the best crime rate. Check the data in Greensboro areas… Charlotte will be like most other cities; higher crime rates in the city and the more suburban, the more affluent, the lower the crime rate…
Shaw University, North Carolina Central University. NC State, University of NC Chapel Hill, Peace University, St. Augustine. All in and around Raleigh.
@@HeathandTracyTV Thank you for that! I'm just researching different colleges in different states to see whether I'll fit! So this was pertinent to my journey ☺️
Planning to move to Raleigh from Chicago. Do you think I can buy a single family new construction home (3 beds, 2 bath) around Raleigh area within 300 K? what are the areas you suggest? Thanks.
Jay, it can be done but it depends. Townhomes are less expensive than single family. Durham is a bit less expensive than Raleigh and Cary. You may need to go out to Wake Forest , Garner, or Zebulon to get single family in that range. Call “Carol Small The Realtor”. She is a friend of ours. She can help. Thanks for watching! @@HeathandTracyTV thank you so much for your quick response. I will reach out to her. One more quick question, how is the Morrisville area? Is it too expensive? Thanks

Thank you! Planning to move to NC from New Jersey...the houses in NC for 400k goes for 900 to 1 million up in here...selling my home and moving..taxes are ridiculous almost 10k
Im from Elizabeth nj. And yes. Buying a home is torcher. Taxes, insurance and just living is insane. Im looking to see if greensboro is family oriented.
This was one of the best and most informative videos I have seen thus far in my research. What areas do you think is best for a single mom to move in? Currently reside in the Metro Detroit area. Use to fast pace. I have an 11 year old son. Trying to decide between Charolette and Raleigh. I am a Web and UX Designer with a business. Thank you for posting!
We lived the Raleigh area and it supports your field nicely. The jobs opportunities are great for tech there. If you more diversity and people that look like us, Charlotte is going to be the place. Thanks for watching!
@@HeathandTracyTV , I had a great time in Cary 2 weeks ago. Visited the North Carolina Museum of Art, enjoyed a musical ('A Bronx Tale') at the Durham Performing Arts Center, met up with family, and ate like a"pig". 😂🤣... Korean, Peruvian, French, Mediterranean, American, etc. Blessings to you and your family.
We like lots of places better than NC but it’s grown on us and been good for our family and careers. Research it, visit and do what’s best for you. More information on our Facebook page, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching!

My husband and I are highly considering NC (specifically Raleigh or Durham) as our next place to live. We’re currently in Phoenix and my husband hates it. We’ll be visiting NC in October and hope we run into you guys - your energy and insight is wonderful!

Morning, I am wondering if you can give your opinion on relocating to Clayton? My husbands job is there. We like Cary, but wonder if the commute will get old. We also like the idea of living on a lake. Any good lake communities to check out? We have three kids, 11, 14, and 17. The 17 year old will be looking at colleges. We currently live in the the midwest. We would relocate in about a year. We lived in the Atlanta area before, so we are familiar with the climate and such. Thank you for your suggestions!
Clayton is cool. Not that far from Cary and RTP. You could live in Clayton and make it an easy commute for your hubby. Yes, you could live in Cary and he could commute to Clayton. 1 hour each way in rush hour maybe? Personal choice. If it’s me, I live and work and have the kids in school in Clayton. Makes it easy for the hubby and improves your life. The kids will be fine. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
I live in NYC (lifelong resident) and fell in love with Raleigh a few years ago as my semi-retirement area. Lately I have started to question if I can really make the adjustment from living in a big city. I have not given up on moving to Raleigh or the Triangle area, but I would have to do it on a trial basis. I am also considering DC and Chicago, but Raleigh was number 1 on my relocation list as I wanted to be closer to family in NC and SC.
We didn’t like how much slower it was and now that we have moved to the DMV we understand why we didn’t like it. Raleigh isn’t bad it just wasn’t us. A lot of NYCers live there and love it because it’s so different. Good luck and just focus on you perfect situation and the answer will present itself! Thanks for watching!
I'm looking to relocate and find not just better employment, but I want to go where I can fill a void in The food service industry. From your take it's Charlotte. I was concerned with the influx of people, but I just feel I'll thrive
Go for it Renato. Charlotte is waiting for you. Peter from Atlanta Housewives had some success there. You’d be successful in Raleigh Durham, Charlotte, Maybe even the mountains or at the beach. More information on our Facebook page, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching!
So I am from the midwest, 2 hours from Chicago. I LOVE the south but I never had a chance to think about moving there. Well, the other day after I prayed there was a video on youtube about Raliegh, NC being a good place to move for career opportunities. I am looking to begin a new life. Where I am there aren't many opportunities so people are migrating to Phoenix. AZ or Texas. I have been watching your videos and omg Its so informative Thank you so much for the information. I want to relocate but don't know how to begin and this helped.
A’kia, we are so glad you found some value with our content. We are working on creating some new and better resources too. In the meantime, check out our Facebook page, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina, for more info. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Very informative! I'm planning to move to the area next August. My daughter is in middle school, so good schools are a MUST. I'm planning to rent for a year to get to know the area and buy once the market has corrected itself. Thanks for the info on Cary. I'm hearing good things about it!
I came across your videos on NC recently. We moved to Apex 4 years ago from Maryland/DC area. Both daughters settled here and we wanted to be closer to them and grandkids. We love it here but it's growing too fast. It seems like every inch of vacant land is being developed and destroying what made this area so attractive. I agree with you that restaurant choices are limited unless you like chains, not! I wouldn't move to DC/MD area unless you want to spend half your life in traffic. The main thing I miss from there is the variety of food choices when dining out. Maybe I'll see you around at Costco!
Fred, you obviously are a connoisseur of great food! There are a few spots around the triangle that are exceptional but you get it. The area has certainly grown on us and yes the National Developers are making their share of revenue in North Carolina. Wouldn’t be surprised if we bumped into you at Costco! Thanks for watching!
I am going to do just that visit! I will be visiting from Boston at the end of March. I am 37 and I have a toddler. I am considering moving to Cary for a safe town to live in and raise my little one. Also for a little bit warmer weather. I hope I I enjoy myself when I come or feel comfortable to the point that I feel I will be making the right choice and if so I will be moving there this 2019! Thank you for you helpful videos.
Stumbled upon your channel as I was doing some research on the pros and cons of North Carolina. I currently live in Northern California. One of my colleagues is retiring to Chocowinity, North Carolina to be exact and she has told me all about North Carolina in general in terms of different cities like Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, the weather, the cost of living (this one is huge for me), the mountains, the beaches, etc. I’m planning to visit North Carolina next year hopefully during the summer and I plan to rent a car and travel to the cities I’ve mentioned and stay in each city a few days to get a feel of the cities. North Carolina is possible place I may consider moving in the future after I finish school because California is just too expensive to be able to live in.
Hey guys, just moved to Fayetteville from nyc and now my wife wants to move to Raleigh bc Fayetteville is boring to her. I’m 43 and she’s 32. Awesome, thanks for the info! I have one question tho...how bad is allergy season around there? I heard there is a high pollen count and i’m scared with my spring time allergies! Hopefully that doesn’t stop me from going. Visiting in the fall!
I stumbled upon your video this month and i love it. I've visited NC Durham area and I fell in love. I will like to relocate but don't know where to start.
Start with a long weekend visit. Rent a car and just drive around. Durham is super friendly. Just make sure you stay close to the newer areas at night. If you visit Raleigh check out the restaurants and drive thru the older neighborhoods. Thanks for watching!
I currently live in New Jersey, which l hate. I’m a dialysis technician and I’m online looking for a job in North Carolina. Thanks for the info. I have family their so I’ll be good❤️

Yes, we like Charlotte as well. Different cities. We certainly agree. In another year or two, the house will be empty and another adventure may be afoot! Thanks for watching!
You guys are a beautiful amazing couple😍! I had a question maybe you can answer for me. I’m from the north but would like to stay in North Carolina for a year. I’m looking for a small town that’s peaceful but also lively. I’m 22 and I have no idea what area would be a good destination for some peace and not city life.
Check out Wilmington on the coast or Asheville in the mountains. You might like something in the Raleigh Durham triangle area or metro Charlotte. NC is your oyster. More info on our Facebook page, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching!
As an African American city woman who desires to Durham NC from Chicago IL, I would like to know your thoughts on living in Durham please. I am looking to downsize.
@HeathandTracyTV My husband and I are in our 20's with a two year old and we are so burnt out in SF Bay Area California! We are going to visit North Carolina next month and see if that's our next move or not. We are also thinking of moving back to Central Florida (we lived there for a couple years). In your opinion what is the smarter decision as we are looking to eventually buy our first home would you recommend investing there or in Florida? How is the construction field as my husband is in that trade? What city can I find most administration type jobs? Lastly, what are daycare expenses like there? Thanks for any feedback I appreciate it! :)
NC and FL are great choices, but for just starting out you may want to come here. Housing is affordable and there is sooo much construction here, housing, commercial and highways. We are booming. Also rent when you first come and take your time, especially with a young marriage. Daycare is expensive everywhere. Probably not like the Bay Area. Moving here would definitely take the pressure off. Good Luck on the Move and thanks for watching!
@HeathandTracy ***UPDATE Sooo we visited ATL last week and fell in looooooove! At this point Florida is out of the equation lol. We are torn in between moving to RTP/Charlotte and ATL. We are a young married couple with a 2 year old baby girl. Do you recommend NC over GA? Our key desires: -Great church home -Buy our first home -Decent school systems -Stable jobs Thanks again!!! ❤️
Hi Ebone! So your last two requirements are putting NC in the lead. Rank them and that will help you. If buying your first home is at the top, then it’s going to be the ATL. You can purchase your first home in NC too, but it just may not be as large or as new. Good luck!
Thank You for this. We are retired and live in Arizona and are thinking of moving to the Southeast. We own our home here but won't get more than $35,000 for it. We want to get about an acre with a fixer upper and stay in our RV while fixing it up. We are country folk type people. Want a garden and chickens. Maybe goats and pigs. Somewhere that has a creek running trough it would be ideal. I have been looking for videos like yours in other West NC areas and East TN, Virginia and SE Kentucky.
I love North Carolina!! Planning on moving to Cary or Charlotte. We live in South Florida( hate it 😂😂). My husband and I were born and raised in So Fla. We visited The Triangle area back in February 2019 and can’t wait to move ❤️Thanks for this video!!
I live in Winston-Salem and it is not the same city it was 10 years ago. Downtown has doubled in population and there are over 3,000 apartment units under construction in one square mile in downtown Winston-Salem. I wouldn't recommend living Clemmons due to rush hour traffic especially with the Business 40 closure.
Boring in the since of diverse offerings outside of standard chain restaurants and typical things to do. We come from much larger cities and this is a mid size city. HUGE difference. You can only do The same things over and over for so long. Yes there are GREAT parks for long walks. Greenways thru out the town we live connecting neighborhoods. Thanks for watching!
Visiting is not the same as moving...lol...I visited for 5 years before I moved and loved every time I came down here. I would say RESEARCH as well as VISIT...LOL But thank you so much Heath and Tracy. This was very insightful..I'm in Durham RTP!
I know this might be a crazy question, but are there alot of family reunions there? I'm looking to relocate to a market that's filled with family reunions taken place throughout the summer. I'm in Detroit, Mi now, which is huge for reunions, but I want to experience a brand new place.
Guys, you both are so charming couple.. I loved your style, jackets, scarves, etc... The videos that I saw (2) were both very useful. I am a Brazilian citizen looking for job in IT market right now and some opportunities have emerging in Georgia and NC.... well, i just hope that if we go to NC, it's a little less BORING at the moment :) :) :)
Yesssss we would live to do a meet up! Lol. My husband and I are in Cincinnati and are considering relocating in 2020-2021-- we just aren't sure which city. You guy's videos have helped us tremendously, even with our marriage. We plan to visit North Carolina this spring. When we visit we plan on visiting churches, looking into the job market, and looking for family oriented and couple's hotspots (we need date nights). We are also looking to buy a house. What city is the best market for that? SN: We are not over the $200,000 bracket. 😔 Will that make it difficult for us to find a good home and a good area?
You can definitely find a home in the area. Try to stay close to work cause traffic is getting worse. Thanks for watching and we also answered your email.
We would stay out of Raleigh right now. It’s changing rapidly. If you want to do Raleigh stay North. Also parts of Durham, if you want to do Durham stay close to Duke and Downtown. Chapel Hill has its spots but nothing too hazardous, their schools are great. Cary is pretty generic too. A few neighborhoods here and there but nothing really bad. Keep in mind we have lived in DC and the ATL so in our opinion the “questionable” areas don’t even compare. Good luck on your move!
hey beautiful people, im 24 mother of 3 I've been married for 6 years and im starting a new career in real estate and thinking about moving my family to NC from texas.. Im from Florida but wanted to try something new. Im really interested in NC. thank you so much for the videos. yall are selling it yall look happy and healthy lol

Hi HeathandTracy, My wife and I have a son who is 23 years old who is disable with autism and need help. We are seriously talking about moving from Florida to North Carolina. We Need a little help. What's the best area to move to without the flooding issues. We would have to sell our home too before we move. Can you guys please give us your thoughts on location in North Carolina. Thank You!
Freyes, Metro Raleigh or metro Charlotte would probably be your best bets. Stay away from the coastal towns and the Eastern part of the state and you’ll be fine. More information on our Facebook page as well, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. All the best to you! Thanks for watching!
Blujonny, we’ll take that as a compliment! Check out our Facebook page as well for more information. Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching!
I'll be moving to Durham from Oregon this summer to go to grad school! Do you know anyone from the west coast who has moved over and how they like it or what they think is different between cultures? Thanks for making these videos:)
You are going to love Durham! The folks that have migrated here blend in, and seem to adapt. No worries there. Forget the stuff you hear about the South. You are going to love it! Thanks for watching!
Hi Heath and Tracy, I am planning a move from New Jersey and want to check out the Raleigh area. I am of mixed Caribbean race and my husband is white. We also have a 8 yr old son. Is there an area you guys recommend that we could feel comfortable in as an interracial couple? I always wanted to move down south, but I always wanted to make sure that we would feel welcomed as well. Thank you for any feedback and thank you for all your information on NC you guys provide, it is truly helpful.
I moved from Raleigh to to Winston- Salem back in 2011-2014 and it was super dull. I then moved to NY an and came back in 2016 and the city has completely changed. There's more shops, bars and restaurants downtown and our roads are finally getting an upgrade. Traffic has definitely increased here thankfully not as bad as Ral or Charlotte but it is an indication that the city is growing. I'm now looking to move out though because I've been here too long perhaps back to Raleigh, D.C or Charlotte. Nevertheless Winston is a pretty good small city with really cheap rent!
Hello. Great, informative video! What area in NC would you recommend for someone like myself who is a single black man, early 30s with an IT background? I currently live in Atlanta but has thought about relocating.
Rian, check out Charlotte and Raleigh Durham. Tech jobs are plentiful in RTP/Raleigh Durham, where we live, but the tech environment is growing in Charlotte as well. Charlotte gives you access to the beach, the mountains, 4 hours to Atlanta. Raleigh gives the same and 4 hours to DC. More info on our Facebook page, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching!
Hello, so glad to come across your video. My family and I are wanting to relocate to Raleigh from Detroit, MI and in my research and prayer I had Cary as the top. I'm a teacher so I'm applying to different schools. My biggest fear is finding a great HS for my son. He will be starting 9th grade and that's another reason why we want to make this move this summer before school starts. We live in the suburbs and not actually in Detroit but my husband and I both work in the Detroit area. Our oldest son is at Claflin University(HBCU) in Orangeburg SC. So moving to Raleigh would put us 5hrs away from him verse 14hrs lol. Again my main concern at this point would be to move where there is a good HS for youngest. He is use to a mix student population due to where we live now and small class sizes. Listening to you talk about 3000 in the school just blew me away lol. Do you have any tips to help. Our plan is to rent for about a year so we can find the best area we would love to buy in. My husband and I are in our early and mid 40's so hopefully it's not to boring for us lol. We still love to have fun together and with the boys lol..... Again thanks for the video!
Tasha, thanks so much for the kind words. Check out West Cary. Green Hope is a top rated school but is a little tricky to get into. Green Level is a new school that’s just been built and the principal from Green Hope has just moved over there. If you find a place in West Cary, your son will probably be slated for the new Green Level High which would be best case scenario and the way we’d go if we were in your shoes today. Also check out Apex, and Apex Friendship High. Friendship is a newer school. Property is a bit cheaper Apex so it’s a bit crowded, but “good” schools relatively...Thanks for watching! All the best!
Definitely stay in Wake county if you want the best schools. The counties surrounding Wake are not as educated and don’t have as much money per student. Big drop in school quality when you leave Wake.
Nice video. I am thinking of relocating from Virginia to Greensboro, Northwest side, close to downtown area. Is it a nice area a well as Charlotte and Raleigh?
Greensboro is nice too. If we had to rank them we’d say Raleigh is slightly better than Charlotte which is slightly better than Greensboro...Our two cents😉 Check out our Facebook page too. Heath and Tracy Know Carolina...Thanks for watching!
Recently moved here from LA. Holly Springs. Your original video helped prepare us, so thanks for that. But I have to say Cary is exciting compared to HS! Lol.
Thanks for sharing this! Over the past 5 years my husband and I have considered relocating from San Diego to Raleigh area but have never actually been there. I have several friends from SoCal that love it there, so we are planning to come for a visit this summer when all this crazy corona stuff is done, and move next Feb. My biggest concern is I have heard pollen is bad and I have an allergy, I am wondering if just taking Zyrtec daily would be sufficient lol!
hi stephanie, i moved from sacramento to raleigh earlier this year and get bad allergies too. i keep a bottle of flonase around and it works out just fine. i am not a fan of the area though and kind of regret the move.
@@nemesis656 oh no! May I ask why? I'm thinking of moving from nyc to raleigh bc I'm tired of big city life and want a slower, more peaceful lifestyle...and cheaper.
Jessica Dufresne it will definitely fit all of those categories for you. Raleigh is starting to get pricey if you want to live close to downtown, but if you don’t mind living out of town you can find a lot of space for cheap. When I made my last comment I was still really homesick as everyone I know is on the west coast, but things are getting better with time and I’m liking it here a lot more.
Would you mind doing an areas to avoid? I'm a single parent looking to move there in May. My son will be going to high school! Love this channel great info
Southerners at heart! We LOVE the South cause that’s where it’s at! Only thinking about DC(yes, it’s the South), South Florida and the ATL of course. Thanks for the Love and thanks for watching!
Thank you for the update. We just did a quick swing through over Labor Day weekend. We have visited Raleigh two other times and we really like Wake County for the schools (HS age child) ... it’s great on paper. We also visited Charlotte again and were pleasantly surprised with what the area has to offer but feel torn because we want safety and less congestion. Coming from NY and we just want safe, quiet and bang for the buck. Not excited seeing the prices rising in western wake and don’t want a townhouse. Do you find the large crowded high schools are a problem? Was looking at Northern Wake and the Leesville Rd HS and also Wake Forest. Any tips?
Apex and Northern Wake are more affordable and have great services. The catch is traffic into RTP and downtown. Check the daily rush hour traffic patterns on the Internet if you are working in either area. Our kids HATE the crowding at the HS. It’s too much, they can’t even walk through the halls between classes without touching shoulders. But as we stated West Cary is getting a new HS in the Fall and that should improve. Apex will also have a new HS. We understand completely about the feel of Charlotte, We would look at Waxhaw if we wanted to be closer to Charlotte. You can still find some affordable homes in West Cary, you may need to look in the older neighborhoods and update the home. We actually think this is a better idea. Older homes are super affordable and you can make it into what you want, the yards are larger and the neighborhoods are more established with most of the services near by. Just another idea. Thanks for watching!
Watched your first video and loved the info. I was happily surprised to see this second video. Me and my family live in Maryland just outside of Baltimore and let me tell you. We are about to just up and leave everything because of how things in this state are going. To be brief. A 180,000 dollar house is more than a 300 thousand dollar house in NC because of our taxes here. Anyways great info and thank you so much. We are looking for more of a quieter setting. More of a mountain kind of atmosphere. Anyways thank you guys for your reviews. It helps tremendously especially when I know nothing about NC. Oh and ps... I dont care what color my neighbors are as long as they work and are respectful people. I know you guys touched on that a little bit in this video. But here in Maryland people on tax payers assistance not government because the government has no money usually live in bigger and better houses than the working folks. Kinda crazy but that's Maryland.
JF, glad you found value in the content. We have more on Facebook page as well, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Pluses and minus to everything of course but there certainly are a few advantages in NC from a cost of living and tax perspective. All the best to you. Thanks for watching!
So many options but we have found it is a personal choice. We suggest visiting all and making a decision after at least a year of attending regularly. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@HeathandTracyTV. Several years ago, I was considering departing the DMV region. I asked around & checked HIGH & LOW within the Howard Univ. (Bison) Fam' & couldn't locate ANYBODY who could offer feedback regarding residing in Eastern NC. Then I randomly "stumbled upon" your videos today. How unplanned was that? [Posted Tues. 4/30/2019].
@HeathandTracyTV. You're welcome. We appreciate your thoughts & insight regarding the NC region. I'll dive into more of your archived content as time permits. (Please kindly give me a heads-up/alert if you ever encounter any Brown/Black folks in the region who are involved with work in the biomedical sciences). Regards...
Greensboro is growing and is home to A few Universities. Since it’s only about an hour front the Triangle, find the larger services is not an issue. Very affordable too! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great info! I am looking into maybe one day moving to NC. I'm looking for a good secluded, country place. I dont like the city. But I love the beach and the mountains. I'm in need of much needed help because not much is on the internet. Only tourism places are only shown on the internet not places that I'm looking for to live. Or maybe I just need someone who is actually from NC to see what I can find? Please if you have any spare time, maybe send me links or to people who may could appoint me in the direction of somewhere i could maybe check out and even visit before i just up and move! It's a big step for me, especially since i may be doing it all on my own. Thank you in advance!
Hey Elizabeth, we are working on some additional resources just for folks like you. In the meantime, check out our Facebook page, Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching!
Thank you guys for sharing this information. I'm planning on moving me and my family to NC next summer, but I'm not sure where I want to set up shop. My first thought is to move to Greensboro. I would really appreciate any information that you can share about that location if you know anything about it. Thank you
Greensboro is a good town. NC A&T and UNC Greensboro are both there so there is a college vibe in tandem with the business of the city. Easy drive from there to the mountains or to Charlotte & or Raleigh Durham. More information on our Facebook page too. Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching!

Lovedddd this video! So helpful. I want to move in the new year. I’m 35, no children. Love food and hiking. Is this a good place near water or hiking?
The beach is only a couple of hours away and there are a couple really nice local lakes Jordan Lake is huge. Hiking in the mountains is about two hours to the west. Thanks for watching!
What are your thoughts about Greensboro?
Small but growing. It’s definitely a college town and very affordable. Not far from Raleigh or Charlotte.
@@HeathandTracyTV how about safety?
I have children in elementary and high school, is one area better than the other as far as crime rate?
Cary, where we lived near Raleigh Durham, will provide the best crime rate. Check the data in Greensboro areas… Charlotte will be like most other cities; higher crime rates in the city and the more suburban, the more affluent, the lower the crime rate…
Hey I just your last video... Thanks for the update 😎🇻🇮

Thank you! Planning to move to NC from New Jersey...the houses in NC for 400k goes for 900 to 1 million up in here...selling my home and moving..taxes are ridiculous almost 10k
Come on down! You can definitely find a home for 400k. Thanks for watching!
Im from Elizabeth nj. And yes. Buying a home is torcher. Taxes, insurance and just living is insane. Im looking to see if greensboro is family oriented.
Question where is it most diverse? I'm from philadelphia and plan to move very soon what area would you recommend?
Same I'm from NYC. And I love white people but I'm a tall black man with a big afro. I will stand out. And I don't know if they're friendly yet.
Mostly diverse in Durham and Charlotte! Thanks for watching!

Thanks so much for sharing!

My brother lives in your area. He says it's boring too sometimes.
But I will visit him next month for the first time. Thanks for the details!

Will be visiting Cary next week. Thanks 😊
My friend lived in Cary for 6 years she said it was boring too, don't feel bad🙃🙂
Just could never get past it.😏
I understand! Its all about location for sure🙂🙃
Do you like living in North Carolina more than Georgia.

My husband and I are highly considering NC (specifically Raleigh or Durham) as our next place to live. We’re currently in Phoenix and my husband hates it. We’ll be visiting NC in October and hope we run into you guys - your energy and insight is wonderful!

Why does your husband hate Phoenix?
Check The net for the lake communities. Not 100% sure about specific communities but they are everywhere...😉
I LOVE that you two share my EXACT sentiments about NC, FINALLY!!
Nicole, we appreciate you.
House wise way more bang for your buck in NC. Im from upstate NY. Way more expensive. House thats 250 and up in NC would be 450 and up here.

This got me thinking now
Come on! It’s growing on us.

I cant wait to move! the homes in Boston cost 500-700k and its not worth the money AT all ! I want to buy a home in Raleigh so bad!!!
The prices are better for the house in NC. Thanks for watching and good luck!
Great video! Very informative! I'm planning to move to the area next August. My daughter is in middle school, so good schools are a MUST. I'm planning to rent for a year to get to know the area and buy once the market has corrected itself. Thanks for the info on Cary. I'm hearing good things about it!
Good luck on the move and Thanks for watching!
Thanks, I'm thinking to move soon, but I like city, because I have allergies. I need close to a hospital. God bless you
When you are looking for your new home check out the allergy centers too not just hospitals that may broaden your scope. Thanks for watching!
Fred, you forgot to mention the cost of housing here in the DC area. 😉
Moving to Greensboro from Portland Oregon next month. Thanks for the video!
Good luck on the move and thanks for watching!
Or Raleigh actually.
Cary is safer, but there are parts of Raleigh that are just fine. Good move on visiting! Good luck and thanks for watching!

Great mention about the underground power lines vs the ones above ground. Can you post about what to avoid in Raleigh NC?
Stay away from the areas that flood easily in Raleigh and the high traffic areas near 440. Thanks for watching!
What I want to know is about Tornadoes! How often do you guys get tornadoes especially right there in the triangle. And flooding.
Flooding some parts. Tornadoes don’t happen in town as much as the more rural areas.
What are your thoughts on Asheville in regards to diversity and raising children?
We really enjoy Asheville when we visit. Love the vibe; food, live music, sites are cool as are most of the people we encounter. Not a ton of diversity however.

As an African American city woman who desires to Durham NC from Chicago IL, I would like to know your thoughts on living in Durham please. I am looking to downsize.
@HeathandTracyTV
My husband and I are in our 20's with a two year old and we are so burnt out in SF Bay Area California!
HeathandTracyTV thank you!!!!! I appreciate it! God bless you guys and this channel! 😊
@HeathandTracy
***UPDATE
Sooo we visited ATL last week and fell in looooooove! At this point Florida is out of the equation lol. We are torn in between moving to RTP/Charlotte and ATL. We are a young married couple with a 2 year old baby girl. Do you recommend NC over GA?
Our key desires:
-Great church home
-Buy our first home
-Decent school systems
-Stable jobs
Thanks again!!! ❤️
Thanks for watching!
I saw your video before I moved out there. Six months later I moved back West. The West is better than the East and I am from Chicago.
You only lived in NC. You can't compare one state in the East to the entire West coast. LOL😄Good Luck! And thanks for watching!
I love North Carolina!! Planning on moving to Cary or Charlotte. We live in South Florida( hate it 😂😂). My husband and I were born and raised in So Fla. We visited The Triangle area back in February 2019 and can’t wait to move ❤️Thanks for this video!!
So happy for you guys! All the best. Thanks for watching!
What do you mean by boring? Sounds wonderful to me. Are there nice parks for long walks?
Boring in the since of diverse offerings outside of standard chain restaurants and typical things to do. We come from much larger cities and this is a mid size city. HUGE difference. You can only do
The same things over and over for so long.
We like Durham Honey Dew! Might bump into you somewhere. Thanks for watching!
I know this might be a crazy question, but are there alot of family reunions there? I'm looking to relocate to a market that's filled with family reunions taken place throughout the summer. I'm in Detroit, Mi now, which is huge for reunions, but I want to experience a brand new place.
I have heard that Wilson NC is number one every summer for family reunions. Thanks for watching!
Guys, you both are so charming couple.. I loved your style, jackets, scarves, etc...
The videos that I saw (2) were both very useful.
I am a Brazilian citizen looking for job in IT market right now and some opportunities have emerging in Georgia and NC.... well, i just hope that if we go to NC, it's a little less BORING at the moment :) :) :)
awesome family ⭐⭐
Thanks for the love and thanks for watching!
Hey guys I have a question if u have the time. What areas should a young family avoid buying a house in the raleigh durham area?
Hi HeathandTracy,
My wife and I have a son who is 23 years old who is disable with autism and need help. We are seriously talking about moving from Florida to North Carolina. We Need a little help. What's the best area to move to without the flooding issues. We would have to sell our home too before we move. Can you guys please give us your thoughts on location in North Carolina. Thank You!

You are soooo right! We like it much better thank Charlotte! Thanks for watching!
@@HeathandTracyTV thank you do much for the reply. It really helps!!
Definitely stay in Wake county if you want the best schools. The counties surrounding Wake are not as educated and don’t have as much money per student. Big drop in school quality when you leave Wake.
@@j.w.spears5783 ok thanks.
Tasha Lewis good luck!!!!
Lol.
Daniel, laughing 😂 out loud over here on that comment. We actually agree with you! Thanks for watching! Maybe we’ll see you around!

Do you guys have any recommendations on churches in the RDU area?
So many options but we have found it is a personal choice. We suggest visiting all and making a decision after at least a year of attending regularly. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@HeathandTracyTV. Several years ago, I was considering departing the DMV region. I asked around & checked HIGH & LOW within the Howard Univ. (Bison) Fam' & couldn't locate ANYBODY who could offer feedback regarding residing in Eastern NC. Then I randomly "stumbled upon" your videos today. How unplanned was that? [Posted Tues. 4/30/2019].
Sound Scientist, the everything is timing! Glad we could bring you some value. All the best. Thanks for watching!
Regards...
I’ve been thinking about Greensboro
Greensboro is growing and is home to A few Universities. Since it’s only about an hour front the Triangle, find the larger services is not an issue. Very affordable too! Thanks for watching!
Omg I went to homecoming there 2 years ago and I fell in love with that area!
Caswell County, NC is very affordable.
Truth.
@@HeathandTracyTV Thanks for the help family.✌
