So informative ! I've only been following Kelly-Ann for 2 wonderful years . I'm watching all the older and amazingly helpful videos back to back. It's election day 2020 I'm anxious and this is so helping to keep me occupied!! Blessed be us all.
Sure, I love shopping second hand, and when it comes to trinkets and pretty things, second hand is the *only* way for me because I love the fact that the object already has a history and you can sometimes get an energy off of it or do a little psychometry :)
When someone gets into a new lifestyle or hobby, especially at first, there is a tendency to go out and buy a lot of things related to the new found interest. It is the initial rush of it all. Often times many of these things go unused. Eventually though said unused "things" get cleared out when one is settled into the new lifestyle or hobby. Just a natural cycle.
I really resonated with your statement that it’s about what enriches the path for you. As you’ve said in earlier videos in this series, faith/spirituality is intensely personal and a very vulnerable time. I find certain images or objects, colors ground and motivate me especially as I’ve just awakened. You’ve given me food for thought. When I discourse with others on spirituality, I’m going to pay attention to this aspect. Thank you for sharing!
This reminds me a lot of certain art mediums! As a beginner artist, I was constantly amassing new how-to-draw books, but now that I’m more experienced, I can make do with online art references or drawing from my imagination.
So true in what you are saying. Some books, however, are informative and educating, which is something I need. Other than books, I really don't know where to turn to. However, you are one of the best I have found! And I agree with most of what you teach! I am trying to learn and do my own practice of what I believe paganism and wiccan are. You are a huge help!
Watching this made me realise just how much I'd bought into the idea of guilt around enjoying material objects. Thank you for awakening that recognition in me. As for the danger some might see in reading to the exclusion of practising, isn't the encounter with the "other" always an encounter with the self? In other words, don't the words we read and the people we speak to hold up a wonderful, kaleidescopic mirror that allows us to view ourselves and the world in richer and richer ways? Actually, I'm speaking to a book lover - totally redundant argument!
Great vid! this is a great topic. I love the balance of books and practicing. I worked out the time of year When I practice magick more than anything else. That leaves me with the other half of the year to do my studying and preparation. Thankfully with the economy the way it is I try to find PDFs where possible. If there was something I need to man Then I pray for it to be provided otherwise I don't bother.
I love this video! There is alot of stigma especially around younger generations and how they feel the need to buy thing to practise there faith and why shouldn't they. I agree intention is key and if people feel more comfortable and that they can connect with deity in that when then what's the harm? I think people should just accept that everyone is different and just let them do what they want to do. Blessed be! ☆
Very profound perspective! I never looked at this topic from this view before! I do love things too, but for me, I always try to buy secondhand...mostly due to the environmental preservation of doing so.
LOL! I came to your channel the other day after hearing Joanna saying such wonderful things about you (I sooo trust her judgement! lol)...then you mentioned Witchywisdom1 in the first few seconds here, so I surfed over there to see who you were talking about and totally forgot to come back here! So, now...I'm going to enjoy your channel tonight! :D

This may be one of the most brilliant things I have ever seen.

I love how verbally coherent you are.)

It was very interesting, and I love that you ended it by saying “this is my two cents!“ I had to chuckle a little bit.
