I found your channel a week or two ago, and I am in awe of how articulate, informed and wise you are. I have just come out of a fundamentalist christian church and want no part of dogma. I was first attracted by your tarot videos, but have begun watching the spirituality/pagan/witchy playlists. Thank you so much for all the information you are sharing. You are helping me so much, as I begin the newest phase of my spiritual journey.
I've noticed that if I try to be more specific with my labeling of myself, I experience discomfort if I do or think things that don't "fit" in with that label. That's dangerous.
Oh, this is amazing. Amazing amazing amazing. I am so glad you are on TH-cam sharing your articulate thoughts and opinions. The part where you said "There are just people," I was nodding my head. I keep touching on this when people compare religions, or even branches of the same religion or spirituality, that there are no "good" paths, just people behaving in positive or negative ways. And I loved the touching on how you view deity and the dark Goddess experiences
7:30 Really rang true for me. We choose to align ourselves with good. What is it about labels that many of us feel the need for? I don't believe they really fit and work, yet I have felt for a long while that I just wanted this sense of belonging and indentification. I get frustrated that I can't define my path in one or two words, yet this is perhaps a good thing because spirituality isn't simple.
When it comes to prayer, I was told it's not just about asking, it's about thanking too. I got that from Christianity. As a pantheist I sometimes talk to the All, knowing what my understanding of it is and accepting the outcome whatever it may be. Putting a face to the All makes sense, even though I don't see it as needing one. I see it as aspects of the whole. Thank you for making this Kelly Ann.
what a beautiful garden. thnx for taking us along :) , Great video...so well said, as always. As I have gotten older, I have found that I refuse to label myself, in any matter, be it my spiritual path or the way I eat, etc. I am very eclectic in every aspect of my life, forever changing..putting a label on myself would have a stagnant effect on my path.
oh Kelley Anne this video and many of yours are so thought provoking. Thank you so much. Right now I'm struggling with labels and labeling myself. I also have a hard time seeing that we are all connected and that everything is connected. Thank you for the info on myanmar situation. Had no idea. Sending healing and protection to those Muslims. many blessings and light to you
What a BEAUTIFUL garden. Thanks for the tour. Just found you through a comment you left on Loreleila’s latest. Our views (yours and mine) are quite different but we come at things in a very similar way, and you express things well. So I’m going to come back and listen to you some more. : ) Buddhist monks have long received an unfairly favourable press in the public mind. Your comment that whether you’re a monist or a dualist is just self-involvement was brilliant.
I feel like you say so many things I believe as a pantheist, but more beautifully than I ever could. When it comes to labels, I definitely think its helpful and empowering to self-identify, none of us fit perfectly in any box.
I haven't been watching videos much lately, but am so glad I started with this one today. I totally agree with your sentiments and always love hearing you talk!! ;-)
Thank you for this amazing video! I just realised that I check everyday if you post a new video, and when there is one, it just brightens up my day! ^^
Lovely. I rewatched this video a few times to jot down some notes. You discussed some of the questions I've been wrestling with the last couple days and it was incredibly helpful and inspiring. Thank you!
Enjoyed this whole video, so much food for thought. Those last few bits hit the nail straight on the head! In the end it's what happens, the experience, not the label. I can't help notice how wild and free some parts of that garden look, and how manicured other parts are, and yet others even had the bits of stained glass there in the little gazebo. It was almost like a walk through talking about all the different labels in the form of a garden if that makes sense.
Really well said. I think world is to broad, and interconnected for us to JUST BE an occultist or what have you. The way that we can be open to so much shouldn't shelter us into what is specific to one label is because we want to keep that one thing sacred; really the way we treat others and ourselves speak larger volumes to how we label a spiritual practice. A spiritual practice is an extension of YOU, not anyone else. Great video, gorgeous!
:) Thank you for your time and conversation. One thing that's great about making videos is that it gives us opportunities to celebrate the ways in which we relate to each other despite our differences.
We're all questioners, and philosophers trying to make sense of things in our ways. I find it absurd to question the ways of others. I only question the outcomes. Excellent observation.
***** Absolutely spot on. Sometimes our desire to analyse just creates nothing but separation and conflict where there really doesn't need to be any. Beliefs are SO unique. Even naturalistic/scientific pantheists could have a good old debate about something they differ on to an extent. That's the beauty of it, really.. :)
:) Thank you so much for your interesting response. I also really love observing the different ways in which philosophies overlap and the things we can agree on despite our differing outlooks. :)
I've recently found your channel and I've only watched 3 videos so far but I really like the content! Very fascinating perspectives and new ways for me to consider things as I haven't before. Also you are quite cute.
I am in the process of trying to make sense of my path. This video gave me a lot to think about! I have been trying for years but I still don't really know where the hell I am...
:) I'm glad I could be helpful. I also don't believe in the supernatural but consider myself and everything else to be invested with spirit. I think it's strange that some people see this as cognitive dissonance.
I couldnt agree more with your points in this video! Labels dont matter, they all have a different meaning to everyone. Religious and spiritual tolerance is something that needs to be practiced and encouraged so much more. To not, i believe is practically oxymoronic! Awesome video, loved it, i hope everyone on youtube watches this! haha
I agree, it does seem absurd. For me, it's a love and light and peace thing, mostly. Like, why focus on the divisions? Why build up barriers? Why insist that your way is better than someone else's? Doesn't this mean that you have simply *stopped* asking questions and are now assuming that you have all the answers? That can't be a healthy spiritual diet! Instead, isn't it better to bless people on their journeys and then put your focus back on your own? (Rhetorical questions to make a point.)
:) Thank you, that is super sweet - it's nice to make connections here. Starting a TH-cam channel was definitely one of the better choices I made in 2012. x
Thank you for your vid. I dont believe in the supernatural, I believe its all natural. Have made the journey from Christian to atheist to pantheist. Have been researching out stuff on Witchery and other force oriented philosophies in order to tap into the power of the One. This was a needed vid.
Wow. Great video. Where do I start? I'm shocked to hear about a group of Buddhists behaving in such a violent way. I guess I shouldn't be shocked, I'm part of a religious faith that's spent 1500 years killing in the name of their faith, when much of this religious faith has helped me become very much the opposite. I think you have a great point when talking about the different Gods and Goddesses as symbols of the different aspects of nature. I also like what you say about prayer specifically.
monism and dualism become one, one order removed from matter. the way i see it is more that, for one to precipitate, it must split into opposites, birthing duality. inherent to this pair of opposites is a perspective as you can only perceive two by seeing their difference. wow, i hope that made sense.
I see no problems with the tenets of distant religions, Buddhism being one of them. The problem I have is, as ever, with the practitioners. I would argue that people shouldn't feel bad incorporating Buddhist philosophies into their practise. It's not the philosophy that is the problem; it's the hypocrisy of the practitioners.
I just uploaded what I thought was going to be a video response to this, and then discovered that youtube have done away with VRs! Sigh. It's the most recent video on my channel, anyway. :)
religion is a scary thing...much violence has been done in the name of religion. I think it is important for people to find their Spiritual path and not so much label themselves with a religion.

Wonderful video. Loved the garden tour and of course your thoughts and reflections. Blessings beautiful Lady.
This was just the message I needed to receive ♥️ So glad I randomly clicked on this video.
I'm glad the older ones can still be so helpful x

I really thought I'd seen all your videos but this one was suggested to me today on TH-cam and I can't believe I've not seen it! You are the best!
I looooved this! Beautifully articulated!!!

This is the first definition of prayer that has ever resonated with me! I'd love to hear you tslk more about prayer. Thank you, this was awesome.

It helps to watch the video before leaving a comment to disagree with the content of the video. ;)
Such wisdom! xXx
I suggest reading/watching stuff on Native American Indians. They have some good stuff and some good meditative music.
Identity, identity . didnt realise it went back that far. With this identity crisses. Hhmmm
We DO have a lot in common :)
I just uploaded what I thought was going to be a video response to this, and then discovered that youtube have done away with VRs! Sigh. It's the most recent video on my channel, anyway. :)
I guess I rushed to judgment at the part of "labels really don't matter" in the title
Buddhist monks beating Muslims??? Why oh why... oh my virgin ears, damn it! I was happy NOT knowing this (sigh)... Can't we all just get along?
Excuse me, I didn't my bad.
religion is a scary thing...much violence has been done in the name of religion. I think it is important for people to find their Spiritual path and not so much label themselves with a religion.
Well said, as usual. Buddhist monks beating Muslims? Oy vey!
