Just goes to show that no good deed goes unrewarded. Sometimes it's the satisfaction of knowing you helped someone who was in a bind. Other time it's wine. ;)
Score on some pretty great stuff guys!!! Nothing short of a reality TV episode hahaha. Travis finds some cool stuff each time he goes down!!! Entertainment at its best haha. Glad that lady got her anchor back 🤣. I bet thats not the last we have seen of Travis finding some pretty dope things on the bottom. Cant wait to see what comes next, bottles of wine and some bubbly is always a welcome addition
Nice finds! My favorite thing I used to do when we'd camp at the local lake was to get up early in the morning before all the water got churned up and find sunglasses, hats, keys and tools just off the shore. The best one was I found an engagement ring in about 15 meters of water below a cliff in Okinawa. I'm pretty sure there's a story on how it got there.
@@SailingJibsea I was just diving with friends on a sunny day off Maeda Point in Okinawa, and caught the sparkle from the diamond. The stone was about 1.25 carats. I kept that. The ring was 14K gold. The jeweler gave me credit for it towards the ring he made for me.
Years ago when We were anchored off Kaanapali Maui by Black Rock, my youngest son was snorkeling and observed the tourists swimming out to see the turtles. He noticed that many of them would have loose change fall out of their pockets. He would go later in the day and collect it. Usually a couple of dollars.
I cannot even imagine diving to fifty-five feet, but I am from quite a different era. I was raised in La Jolla, California, and would dive for Abalone. We never had to dive much past twelve feet, but that was in the fifties. Sadly, you must dive to well over one hundred feet today to get an Abalone today.
We hear you! We were the same before taking off and it took some practice to gradually be comfortable and able to go a bit deeper over the past couple years
Hmmm missing a gold ring , dude , you mentioned finding a diamond ring , that set off alarm bells :-) My dad did some snorkeling in Cyprus in his 70 s . Doubt he went as deep as you . Did find interesting stuff . Mostly parts of the vases used for transport 3k years ago :-) Brought me the top part of one . Took some to the local museum and they confiscated them . Just a thought , snorkels and goggles apart , if you did find something special , rather keep quiet 🙂 The lady could have just given you some wine or beer :-) . So the chain was cheap , how much a new stainless anchor ? LMNO , spoke too soon about the wine . And it was 'collected ' , without swim fins !
Oh wow! must have been a really good find/of value if they confiscated them. Good thing you got to save a piece! Not sure how much, probably around €200 for that anchor
@@SailingJibsea as such not much value , more deco :-) There is a lot laying on the sea bed . You might get lucky . A friend got his dentures back after losing them in the surf in Cornwall , no joke ! Just saying , if you do find something , keep it to yourselves , ask later :-)
Travis new side hustle job while in the MED. Finders Keepers Salvage LLC . U Drop It- We Find It. They got their anchor back- you two got some free wine. Who knows- this new job thing might pay for some expense while you're in the MED? Now... if only Travis had found that engagement ring for Steph's finger. Not the $5 dollar kind either right- Steph? Hey honey.. guess what? I think our anchor is hooked on a Big rock down there. Travis go fetch it for Me. Safe travels Jibsea.
Self important rich people pardon my English a holes. The med in summer is a nightmare with people who use there boat during the summer. Never be in bad weather or bothered to learn what to do. Sorry rant over.

When will your yacht be up for sale again.
Do you need any international boat operator license to sail on your boat in Mediterranean.
"For who?" That's the biggest foot-in-mouth case I've seen. Yikes!
Nice wine score, you deserved it
Can’t complain about free wine!

Babe, I found a huge Diamond ring. Who are you giving that to? Failure response of a lifetime. Bwhahahaha
🤣🤣
Karma will repay you for the anchor
I notice Steph is featured more and more in her bikini. I wonder why??
Because we live in swim wear, swim all day and it was 35-40C
