Danni after a little talk about having to leave some things behind so you don’t become a hoarder.. proceeds to pick up items she just can’t leave behind so funny.
The cross was a Catholic sick cross. It had a crucifix on the front and candles, oils for when the priest visited the sick .
It’s called a sick-call crucifix. It could be used by a priest or a layperson to perform last rites.
That cross would have had a slide door. Inside would be a small bottle of holy oil and a white candle.
Those guys looked like the statue from Easter Island

Danni, the best way to remember the time change is that you spring forward and then fall back. Picture someone springing forward. They wouldn't spring backwards , right ? And then they fall back . So if u picture a person or a little animal springing forward then falling back(wards) it makes sense and you'll always remember it.
You can fine some nice thing at your goodwill we dont have thing like you are getting. That good you have Blessing day 🙌
We live and learn! I wanted to start to be a reseller and collected a lot of items I'm afraid a bit overboard so my place looks somewhat like a hoarder house! Then got diagnosed with Breast cancer so I have loads of items some really nice items I feel confident!! So it's all setting around which has me feeling embarrassed my prognosis is good getting ready for surgery to remove my left Breast so all this stuff is a pain but didn't plan on this roadblock in the think that's called life!! So yes doesn't take long to look like a hoarder house!

Just a little tip. All things Tiki are making yet another comeback. Lots of people are building Tiki bars/lounges in their homes, so if you find cool tiki stuff, I suggest getting it if the price is right. Tiki goodies are getting more and more difficult to come by.
I love getting thrifting goodness videos from you basically every day! I am learning so much, and drooling over some things. I still haven't gotten over you leaving behind that incredible mid century modern ashtray from a few videos back. Well, I think it was only a few videos back. Not sure, cause I have been binge watching you off and on these past few days and I haven't been going in order.

I watch your videos and Tiffany’s Thrifting Vegas and the number one thing I’m always thinking is, “wow, their LV Goodwill has great stuff and the store shelves are great- neat and clean. Compared to Vegas, Sacramento has terrible Goodwills. I learn a lot from both your videos so thank you!
Sacramento is the worst! Our Goodwills here never have anything like the LV ones.
I always say since watching this program that if I get back Vegas anytime I'm going shopping at the goodwill forget the casinos!

I love your video's. I love learning about all this stuff. Sadly our goodwills here in Buffalo N. Y. Just suck. There is nothing good in them and prices are crazy. I wanted to get a plastic mug for my gram that had a cover on it and they wanted to sell it to me for $1.69. I could have bought the same plastic cup at the Dollar Tree for a dollar and it would have been new. Sad world for goodwill here. Glad your finding the good stuff and way better prices. Thank you for your video's and time researching.

Danni, you should come to Chicago. We have 43 Goodwill stores in Illinois plus Savers, Salvation Army and a ton of independent thrift shops. That would keep you busy for awhile! The thrift stores here in Dallas have nowhere near the volume of merchandise you have available in your stores. It's really astonishing. It's not just Goodwill either. I've been to over a dozen stores in and around my area and I've never seen anything like what you have available.
Now I'm not complaining. I do find things. I just don't find as much. Given that I have a huge pile of stuff to list (destashing my sewing and crafts) and working my way through my parents estate, I shouldn't be shopping anyway. 😅
I’ve been thrifting in Dallas/Irving since the 80’s. Up until the 2000’s there were several ramshackle no name thrift stores with amazing stuff at killer prices. It’s gotten to be mostly Goodwill, DAV, and Thrift Giant stores with fewer treasures and higher prices. I do love binging on The Niche lady now to relax after a day of one of the best and most miserable jobs of teaching!

When you came across a single salt shaker, I recently learned that people who do counted cross stitch or do hand stitching or some use of a needle when they bend or break or get a snag on them and have to be thrown away, instead of chancing hurting yourself by the trash stabbing you, they’re using those individual salt shakers to drop the needle down in and when it’s full then they dispose of them safely.

Danni, not sure if anyone else commented about this, but the cross you saw is a home sick call set. Catholics can have them in their home and in the case of someone who is very, very ill, a priest can have a small service to pray over them. It usually comes with candles and small bottles for holy water and oil. It would have had a crucifix cover which was missing on the one you saw.

Your Goodwills really do have great stuff. Mine sometimes do, too, but not as much and not as frequently. Sometimes the pricing is prohibitive, also. But it’s still fun and I love thrifting! I’m not currently a reseller, but if I had a booth somewhere, especially a shared one, I might be.
The 'tiki' guys are called Moai and they're representational of the statues on Rapa Nui. They represent their ancestors. A professor friend of mine did his PhD there.
Yep! (And Rapa Nui is known to many as Easter Island)
I have also read the Moai are statues of a previous race called the Lumerians.

@GetDatPromo Just FYI, That was actually really offensive to the people of Rapa Nui and the people, like my friend, who are given the privilege of working there. Imagine someone desecrating the tomb of the unknown soldier and then knocking down all the grave markers at Arlington. 12 Moai have been removed from Rapa Nui.
I have been a subscriber and watching for maybe two weeks or more. I have been to my Goodwills, only three in my area and no ours do not have nearly sorta same items and definitely not the volume of stuff. Now clothes are a different story. The thrift stores have slightly more items but they’re either locked up in a case high price or it’s mostly clothes. I have been enjoying your videos and I’ve learned a lot. I was referred by Tiffany with shopping Vegas. Oh by the way I have a best friend Carrie too. Anyway I was just sitting here thinking and most of our abundance of choice is coming from flea markets and antique shops. The flea markets are where we get the abundance and some good prices. Anyway keep it up I enjoy your videos.

I love the huge punch bowls. My step MIL gave me one. It’s rarely used except for big parties or family weddings. . I just don’t have the heart to donate it. I have a small one if it’s just a family get together

Come to Chicago and I'll show you the town AND all our wonderful thrift stores, Goodwills, Salvation Army Stores, and Antique Stores. Oh, and if you come during the summer we'll check out the flea market in Skokie. In the Autumn (especially October) when folks are changing apartments, we'll visit the many garage sales. Then, I'll wave goodbye as you truck on down to Indiana. Lots of wonders to be seen there too. Or so I am told . . . PEACE

Those candlesticks said Titre Legal. Very famous French pewter company. and that picnic cooler set had a brand name printed at the bottom of the zipper pocket.
Those are Easter Island guys.
Art pottery vase at 29:45 goes with those bottle wicks. It’s an oil candle. Probably once had a ceramic bead with a wick.
