Thank you so much again for making a HRGA episode about me!!! I must say I'm quite impressed by how accurate the information in this video is, I sometimes don't even remember saying it in public LOL If you are reading this, please don't hesitate to check out my other work as well if you are not familiar with it!

Kuro definitely deserves recognition for her other tracks Unhappy throwback to the one idiot who commented on her Inabakumori bootleg that essentially considered the song a "shit dt map" iirc. Thankfully, most sane people roasted that dude on Kuro's twitter post about it
I'm living that with Yooh I knew the rhythm games features, but since last week I had discover things like Wirepuller, Hipocrisy, Decoy and Road To Legend, Also with Team Grimoire with a song called Noisy Minority. But to summarize, last week has been a journey to discover other songs of artists I already know and love, some that I knew a little about like Kanoryo, and new ones. It is really a rabbit hole I'm happy I fell in
A cool rythm game artist is laur, his musics pretty good and hes made music for rythm games before, also juggernaut, but i cant find much info on juggernaut(theres actually nothing). love the series btw, super cool to hear the stories of the people i listen to daily. Edit: Dimrain47 also great artist.
This video is such a relief to see, as I also realised how much Galaxy Collapse and Scattered Faith were talked about SO much more than her other works, which is disappointing as they're all still so good! rosa centifolia and Luminescence made me check out all of her current works and it was all worth it.
Kurokutei made Chronostasis!!??? WHAT??? I DIDNT KNEWWWW also, thank you for giving light to Kurokutei, after hearing her new works past galaxy collapse, I would say that her talent has grown immensely. Also, her works are bangers and are so good to listen to
I feel kind of sad to say that i started to like kurokotei as an artist once i found her galaxy collapse map on osu, her artistic style of doing melodic/hardcore styled take on touhou music is nice, my first introduction into rhythm games are a big part influenced by kurokotei's remix of nue's theme, I even started to like the character inside of the music, thus giving me a big emotional support as an individual, her other songs like chronostasis is good too! i like the lusamine in the perfect world mix of hers. Sadly her thinking that she's that one artist who created galaxy collapse and scattered faith will be forever tied in her it can't be completely be off my mind, but i'll still support her and constantly hop on her fl studio streams and rhythm game streams. Thank you kurokotei for making such great music tracks, please create more!
Finally, some good Kurokotei lore, i was kinda sad that most people didn't know fully about Kurokotei's amazing job besides Galaxy Collapse and Scattered Faith.
At first I only really knew kurokotei for her most popular stuff but honestly? After going through her discography, Valley of Voices might be my favorite.
If you're not gonna watch the whole video, at least check out Honorable mentions @ 30:06, they're bangers Buy her album: mindshardsmg.bandcamp.com/album/into-the-void Thanks for watching!
I would add to honourable mentions things like "rosa centifolia" and "20 Years of Dysphoria" with NieR's "Grandma" arrangement. These three are things that clearly show that Kuro isn't only rhythm game-ish composer but rather versatile and I guess emotion-packed creator. Not to self-promote but 20 Years resonated with me so much that I made my own rearrangement in more "traditional" post-rock style compared to Kuro's and that thing solely helped me to finally start changing as a person and being more responsible and professional as a composer. So thank you, Kurokotei, for this impact you unintentionally made on me, and you, Rinny, for this video!

What are the odds. I’ve actually been listening to her a lot in the past few days and now I see this? Awesome! Found out she has a bandcamp account so I’m definitely buying some of her stuff.
it's nice to see a video talking about scattered faith and galaxy collapse overshadowing kuro's amazing talent at composition and interesting methods of storytelling and adding emotions to her music, her talents must'nt go unnoticed
Kurokotei’s style is amazing, along with the long bangers she comes out with. Pillars Of Ash, Zeta, and Lirile - Eiri (idk what the actual name is) are amazing. i have Rosa Centifolia in my chillstep playlist. Ngl Galaxy Collapse in my head gets overshadowed by those three. I remember when I used Galaxy Collapse back then as a note to know that it's Kurokotei due to its popularity until I saw the other plethora of songs that exist both on her TH-cam and Soundcloud. It was my mistake not knowing such history. There were a bunch of bangers on her past releases that I listen to until now. Of course, the new releases are a major improvement from already great tracks. My current favorite one from her is "\frac{\textup{sig}=\frac{821}{149}}{bpm\approx533}" (A.K.A. BPM = RT, timing signature = replies / likes). I love me some 533 BPM with a TS of 821/149. Meanwhile, her Lagtrain Bootleg Remix is my favorite in song mixes (especially around 2:15 of the song).
Still can't believe she composed "Lieselotte et le Sanctuaire des Étoiles". Just shows what her actual prowess can be. Thanks for this feature once again, Rinny!
i mean lot of artists get labeled as one hit wonders, even though their other songs are great, that just sometimes happens when one song becomes insanely popular, similarly how some youtubers have 10 million view video, but most of their uploads don't break couple of thousand views.

I actually found Valkyrie Attack and Fracture Temporelle, back then was my little "I need new songs to listen to" and back then I wasn't really into breakcore and speedcore so I never even listened to Galaxy Collapse until like 2018
galaxy colapse 5+ years later still is my top play on 4K mania, with HT obviously as I was trash at the gamemode, but still I remember loving and hating the song so much as I just so badly wanted to pass it as my goal back then was to really improve at mania.
As someone who's gollowed Kuro outside rythm games and for a fairly long time, I appreciate this video bringing more ppl into her music Edit: Chronostasis best song. Severely underrated.
You know adulting at a full time job got me fucked up when it takes me days to properly watch a rinny vid. This was great! I was def sleeping on all she had to offer. I like how you took the vibe of deep diving into bof or osu featured artists to spread awareness and made that the narrative for a hrga. Especially cause you flipped the script using a very well known artist with an unknown discog maligned by the popularity of an older track. Also tiniest nitpick but you said bof 16 out loud when showing bofxv on screen. But honestly it's awesome that something that stupidly small is the only fault i can find. Good shit as always m8. i'm exCited to Learn aboUt who's nExt😈
It surprised me that she only has about 45 thousand subs, she deserves at least 1 million tbh. Their music is very high quality, there's a lot more stuff than just her Touhou remixes.

Nice video very in depth, accurate and high quality good stuff. I'm also with Kurokotei in feeling the pain of only being known as "the one that mapped galaxy collapse" with her being known as the one that made it for years after even though there are much better works made afterward. At least being known for something is better than not being known at all I guess even if its rather irritating. keep up the mad work required to make these vids a really good watch! and for sure check out Kurokotei's other works there are some mad bangers for sure.

As a quick recommendation, I suggest checking out ak+q. They're an absolutely goated artcore artist. EDIT: Feryquitous is also great. Thanks for reminding me, person who deleted their reply!
man, I'm not sure if other rhythm games even have stuff similar to what I'm talking about, but 20 years of dysphoria and a half-entropy is a PERFECT song for making brutally hard stamina challenges

It's not really only a rhythm game community issue, I think, but the rhythm game community certainly does do this a lot. Annoyingly so. Reminds me of when Vocaloid Producers or Touhou Doujin Circle artists try to branch out and do more original works and how they get little attention. It all only fills me with a further drive to look into an artist's other works, even if only one song caught my interest. (It may be obvious that I haven't watched the video yet, but I just wanted to throw this though out there. It's quite relieving when people make videos like this.) Edit: These videos always make me want to look more into the rhythm game part of the BMS community, wonder if it will introduce me to more... I'm kinda stuck just popping in and listening in to whatever I can find on SoundCloud or TH-cam.)
when someone says "kurokotei", i think of galaxy collapse and chronostasis, and i absolutelu hate that i think of galaxy collapse first. sure, its amazing, but all i can remember was the one "somebody scream" before the drop and the numerous rhythm game charts. i want to experience the song as itself, but i dont really think i can do that anymore.. chronostasis is am amazing song too, go check it out if you havent already
Can you make a [History of Rhythm Game Artist] on ReeK? Pretty underrated artist who can pretty much do full flavor like camellia can do. He deserves a recognition to his amazing and unique talents that you won't really find a lot from EDM artist nowadays.
Honestly i’ve only every once and awhile explore her music on her youtube whenever i finish rewatching scattered faith, they were good though totally different from those 2 hit songs
We'll, here I go down the rabbit role of rhythm games and artists and osu! mania BMS experimental digital art music and japanese culture and music idk anymore... Anyways, good video! :)
I love kurokotei and although I discovered her with galaxy collapse and Scattered faith, I overdosed these two a bit. my favorite will remain Valley of voices (even though I have Chloé and Rosa centifolia in my head after listening to them on a loop while reading). Greetings from France and thx for the video
Asides from Galaxy collapse and scattered faith, arranged from 2 touhou songs. Its quite a shame that her other tracks just doesn’t get recognition it deserves
cant wait to read her reaction to this, if she gives one. I understand that theres things that you create that become the one thing people focus on but its just about doing what you love doing and not focusing on what people want.
Sadly (or hopefuly?), nowadays, there's so much culture online that it's very easy for anyone not to get the success it would "deserve". We can think someone would deserve success because it makes great stuff, but I think now, you don't deserve it for quality, but instead, for grabbing the attention of others yourself. Of course, making something great will attract those who pass by, but this can also be achieved by focusing more on the advertising itself than the quality of a piece.
Pretty irrelevant comment but Be-Music West standing for BMW is such a hilarious name and I love it. But yea, BMS in *general* isn't even that popular, and whatever songs that blow up literally transcend the game they were originally made for (ex: Take/Bamboo blows up beyond rhythm games and hardly anyone is still aware of what BMS is as a result of it)
idk if ak+q is comfortable with it, but if possible, could you make a video about them? i love ak+q's music a lot, and is genuinely saddened to see them stop making music for rhythm games
Hmmm im wondering will you ever do a video on Dj sharpnel? I know that their songs are only popular on the 4k vsrg scene becuase of the charts but im curious

Edit: These videos always make me want to look more into the rhythm game part of the BMS community, wonder if it will introduce me to more... I'm kinda stuck just popping in and listening in to whatever I can find on SoundCloud or TH-cam.)
I never knew Kurokotei from scattered faith or galaxy collapse but from other songs so this video is very interesting to me
holy shit never thought id see moro on here, good shit. moro's music goes absolutely nuts.
good job, gread video! :)
Awesome vid!
when someone says "kurokotei", i think of galaxy collapse and chronostasis, and i absolutelu hate that i think of galaxy collapse first. sure, its amazing, but all i can remember was the one "somebody scream" before the drop and the numerous rhythm game charts. i want to experience the song as itself, but i dont really think i can do that anymore.. chronostasis is am amazing song too, go check it out if you havent already
Nice video. I would also like to see a video on Waterflame if you want to, I really like his music a lot. Anyway - like I said - good video :)
My favorite personal one is Dystopian warriors
This deserves many many more views
oh shit someone made a video about the topic
Hello, do you have information on what DAWs the artists you've covered use? I can't find any online. Especially asking for xi, and gmtn.
i found about kurokotei from geometry especially from level called galaxy collapse
cant wait to read her reaction to this, if she gives one. I understand that theres things that you create that become the one thing people focus on but its just about doing what you love doing and not focusing on what people want.

youtube recommendation has led me to this masterpiece!
Serjin?! This is the last place I thought I'd see you haha, always loved your vids!
Amazing video
Great video 🥶👍👍👍
Is it weird that i've heard of Chronostasis before Galaxy Collapse
Ngl when i think of Kurokotei, i think of Chronostasis and Valley of Voices
Sadly (or hopefuly?), nowadays, there's so much culture online that it's very easy for anyone not to get the success it would "deserve".
We can think someone would deserve success because it makes great stuff, but I think now, you don't deserve it for quality, but instead, for grabbing the attention of others yourself.
Of course, making something great will attract those who pass by, but this can also be achieved by focusing more on the advertising itself than the quality of a piece.
should have assumed there's more songs outside of her channel
Could you do one about katagiri? I'm not really sure if he's a rythm game artist but i see his works in osu
YOOO WAT, A CREATOR WITH A SPIRAL KNIGHTS PFP?
Pretty irrelevant comment but Be-Music West standing for BMW is such a hilarious name and I love it.
But yea, BMS in *general* isn't even that popular, and whatever songs that blow up literally transcend the game they were originally made for (ex: Take/Bamboo blows up beyond rhythm games and hardly anyone is still aware of what BMS is as a result of it)
oh chronostasis is kurokotei? today i learned
Valley of voices and Astar are really a must listen from her
idk if ak+q is comfortable with it, but if possible, could you make a video about them? i love ak+q's music a lot, and is genuinely saddened to see them stop making music for rhythm games
Nice vid👍👍
this is kinda embarrassing, but I've always thought that Kurokotei was a he before watching the video ._.
I honestly like her song Chronostasis after playing phigros for some time
venetian snares when
(PLEASE I NEED IT PLEEEEEEEEEASE)
Hmmm im wondering will you ever do a video on Dj sharpnel? I know that their songs are only popular on the 4k vsrg scene becuase of the charts but im curious
