C@pkfryerIt can be a terrible thing, getting old; it's easy when you're young simply to sail through life without a care in the world, giving no shits whatsoever. But gradually, as the years pass by and more of the people you love are falling by the wayside, life starts to hit home. Lydon always had that hard and 'couldn't care less' attitude, but even he is only human and he met someone and fell in love. Then in the last few years the woman who changed his life fell victim to dementia. He spent those years caring for her himself and when she died you could see that he was completely bereft and broken hearted. We all have (or will have) similar stories. It's just that when you grow older you can see stuff for what it is - you can't just stick your fingers in your ears and go "LALALA" anymore, because it's the story of your life and with hindsight you can see it all in context. As for the drugs, etc, it's different for everyone - just look at Keith Richards....and me. I feel I'm reasonably compos mentis....
Yeah cuz nothing has ever happened to anyone except celebrities. I don't love any celebrity especially not one I've never met. They can have any backstory they want...I bet you'd buy ocean front property in Arizona too huh?

And for most of his life he's projected an "I don't care" attitude which also doesn't fit. Again, maybe he's changed but just doesn't seem legit.
I mean it'd be pretty damn stupid if he acted like a sellout rockstar, seeing as their whole image from the beginning was built upon the notion of PUNK and shouting against bourgeois rich attitudes... Sid Vicious thought he'd knock Freddie Mercury down a peg relatively early in both bands' successful careers even, when they all crossed paths between a recording session, Sid came at Fred unprovoked because he wasn't content to let him do his thing, which Sex Pistols would consider 'too extravagant', so he just shouted at him for being a 'prat' and said other things like 'You want to bring ballet to the masses ay?". Funny thing is it was Mercury who turned out to be less of a barker and a show-off in real life, and according to all accounts in this instance, FM just sort of reacted amused by Sid's antics and apparently gave him a retort which made Sid the one to feel humiliated and walk off in a huff while Queen's "over-the-top camp operatic prats" (nothing at all like what they were in real life) were amused but also embarrassed for the childish behaviour of the purposefully crass, wannabe offensive anti-establishment Punk icon.

Funny, how a life lived with an FU attitude, hard, drug use, and utter irresponsibility ends in early deaths. shocking
This man has so much sadness in his life, but we love and he is a part of history. He was his wife’s angel and loved each so much

@@superbracey Possibly but he's known all this for a very long time. Just think he would have rationalised it in some way, but he's acting like it just happened.

He's a right wing arsehole which goes against all the music he made lol
Youve not seen his internet posts haha.
That's because he ain't a rockstar...he's John.
What does that incident with SV has to do with JR not being a sellout ?
This clip always gets me. I just can’t help but be entranced by how powerful it is. It’s almost shameful, because it’s such a raw testimony. But just everything about his delivery and the words chosen feel straight out of an award-winning drama. It just hits you to the core.

Why is that so incredible? Survivor's guilt is very common an more the rule than an exception. Just because he isn't as big of an asshole as most celebrities, it does not mean he is "one hell of a real man". People are weird. Why applaud celebrities who show perfectly normal behavior? Yes, it's refreshing to see a celebrity act like a normal human being. But, come on!
@@probusexcogitatoris736We should be encouraging moral behaviour regardless of the points you think you just made.
Aw. John Such a lovely bloke totally honest and humble he’s been through some sadness in his life. Bless him.
Miss my friend.
That’s not Jonny Rotten (John Joseph Lyndon)
Eyes wide shut you lot .
Wake up!!!!!
@@waynegorman697huh? What do you mean
@@waynegorman697 it is 100% Johnny rotten
No matter how he looks now, make no mistake, it is jonny alright.
Hes an honest straight up guy, can see he thinks alot about things in life❤
I’ve always loved Johnny, loved him even more when he called out Saville, loved him much more than that when I knew he was a faithful man who nursed his wife with the love and patience only a real man has ❤
You can actually feel the pain in his voice when he says that "miss my friends"😢
Big time respect. He feels it deep deep in his soul. I turn 62 this year. I miss all the friends I've lost along the way. It makes you cry and, if you're lucky, laugh at the same time.
Much love from the rock n roll capital of the world 🌎
That's damn straight. Peace, brother.
Love this guy. So so so so honest with everything and everbody in life. He dont take shit. A true punk.
Don't ever believe you helped to cause someone else's life to end. We all make mistakes but for some they leave us hurting still
Don’t blame yourself Jonny, it’s not your fault man. Peace and love to you dude.
I’ve had a growing admiration for this man over the years, I was so wrong about him in the beginning. So glad I now see him for the good and straight talking man that he is.
This man has to be protected at all costs! He really loved Sid!
