Say what you want about John but he’s a man of honour, loyalty and understood the real meaning of marriage. One of the hardest things in life is to watch the slow decline of a loved one.
Perceptive, self deprecating and the biggest heart in rock n roll, John Lydon-I salute you.

He’s not just materialised as a nice, honest bloke. He’s always been that way despite what the media have said about him. He might have been abrasive and standoffish as a teenager and young man, but I know I was just as curt, abrupt and worse than that, very violent and aggressive.
      It’s a hormonal thing apparently.

I met him in the early 90s when he was doing a meet-n-greet appearance before a PIL show. He was in character. Nothing excessive, but he was definitely putting on a show. Right in front of me was a couple with a young girl, maybe 5 or 6 years old. As soon as he saw her he stepped out of character and was the sweetest man in the world to this young fan. It was nice getting that first hand glimpse.

I have always known that John Lydon is a hyper-intelligent man with an astonishing wisdom and clarity of thought and now, having heard his advice regarding care for dementia sufferers, whenever I'm unsure how to cope I'll just think, "What would John Lydon do?" and I'll be ok. @drj8498 You need to first determine the CAUSE of the dementia in order to reverse it. You cannot rely on allopathic medicine or pharma to help you at all. Just about all illness can be cured once you understand the 2 causes, which are nutritional imbalance and toxicity. You need to start with getting rid of toxins via juice fasts and sweating, then totally changing the diet to living foods from the garden instead of dead - lots of fruits, dark leafy greens, raw vegetables, home-cooked lentils, peas and beans, lots of clean water.
Then starting an exercise routine and most important, staying FAR, FAR away from pharma's toxic drugs & shots. All drugs and alcohol must be weaned off of. Even things like denture cream in the elderly are a cause, they're full of chemicals that seep right into the bloodstream and create mental confusion!
There's other contributors to illness like emotional, psychological and spiritual elements, but once you free the mind and body from toxins and flood it with clean, pure nutrition from living foods, you can address that.

Someone asked them if they'd play "Anarchy" & it was just the most unique record I'd ever heard. Lydon does that mad cackling laugh at the beginning. I was Wow!! Well done John for looking after Nora and coping with your grief. I lost my Dad end of March and he was first diagnosed with early Dementia and then terminal Cancer. Somebody at his funeral said I dealt with it well. I told him my Dad was 86 and he was released. We had lost my Dad but he never lived long enough for his personality to gradually disappear through Dementia. I don`t think he understood but I think it would have been much harder if he`d lived with Dementia long term.

I lost my Dad to renal cancer which is usually a silent killer. He was diagnosed only when it was metastatic. I honestly think as shit as his end was it was kinder than my Mums Alzeihmers. Some days I just think she’d be so much better off with a quick lights out. She’s still there personality wise but I just can’t cope with the disease. What it does to the people you love is brutal
