You forgotten the most important question of every video...
old video bro no time to edit
yea i wanted to ask the same thing LOL
This guy speaks from experience and answers with practicality of parts such as refusing to go carbon stem/bars after crashing.
I also agree with his statement about disc brakes vs caliper. I have 1 caliper and 2 disc road bikes and if I was given a choice I would stick to caliper brakes. Ease of maintenance and alignment when switching wheelsets.
He also says every bike is different and should appreciate for what it is. All bikes are good for what they are. So many new riders always asking what's the best component or what's the faster bike. We all forgetting that cycling is a sport to enjoy not to compare to others
Another excellent episode with rim brakes bicycles.
I love the honest, pragmatic answers. Great interview.
thanks man! appreciate it 👍🏻
Saddle creak is from the Giant seat clamp. Take it apart, clean it, and add a mix of grease, and gorilla paste, and re-tighten to correct torque. I have to do this every few months.
Maybe your seat clamp is a lemon? no creak with mine for years...I only shift it to adjust my position or swap out saddle...
@@hippoace That's a possibility. It seems worse in winter. I'll find out when my next bike arrives, next week.
I just bought a new 2016 seatpost, because mine cracked, right at the wedge. I used carbon paste, but only tightened the bolt on the new one to 4Nm, not the max 7Nm as printed. I’ve never had mine creak, but smear grease on all threads, and mating faces on the seat clamp itself.
Will never go wrong with tcr.
Nice setup, very similar spec to my TCR, but if he insists on the excess steerer, please buy a long steerer plug!
I too run alloy bars for peace of mind.
I was relieved to see that mine weighs the same in an M/L size.
This channel is so entertaining. Have a good laugh watching it. Well done !!! Keep the videos coming.
These guys have loads of cash and tend to appear pretty flamboyant but when they talk about the bikes they tend to sound pretty chill.
Love this channel! Your TCR vids are definitely my favorite. His bike is super clean and simple. I’m currently looking for a second hand 2021 TCR in the U.S. Honestly after watching this, I really don’t mind whether I get a disc or a rim brake now, as long as the price is right lol.
Much love from South Carolina ✌🏾💪🏾
Can you please sponsor me a flight ticket (with accommodation) to the US to film bikes there please. I will bring you some Singaporean snacks (they’re really good and you can’t get them in the States). Thank you.
Get on eBay. There are new TCR frame sets for sale in the USA. Saw them last night….
great video really nice bike nice setup experiance cyclists👍
Not gonna lie
He really seems like a really chill guy

台灣之光❤️
The compression plug example by durian rider is innacurate because you can always get a longer compression plug that can go well inside the head tube or have an aluminium sleeve bonded in (common solution). Problem solved.
I like his helmet.
Doesn’t come with MIPS
Lovely bike :)
Ahhh yesss
appreciate the Triban also la bro!
Currently I'm riding a triban 520
captions look good here! :):) can watch while i shower now hehe
Listen to my voice in the shower la. Better with toilet acoustics
Now the same bike cost 3.5k at tay junction. Crazy.
😩
Enjoying the videos. Why not get some scales and weigh the bikes too?
It’s in the video
PC = Park Connector :)
Here for durian rider ! (y)
no
Would you buy again rimbrakes now?
And what buy now - rimbrakes in price -15% or disc in next year price?
Gp5k have too much grip? Is that even possible??? 😅
nice vid 🤠
#rimbrakes: I heard horror stories about disc.
Also rimbrakes: eh, don't ride so fast in the wet leh, my brakes take longer to activate.
#discbrakes: can't hear you over my squeal
Rim brakes: wa lao don’t suddenly jam brake like that la. My bike can’t stop in time.
Carbon pad materials are all different. I’m fortunate to find mine stop pretty well. I use Venn Fryse and Campagnolo Red pads, both very good.
I am the 2nd!
waiting for my turn on the TCR reviews hahahaha
I like how he's so afraid of carbon breaking but bought a carbon bike and carbon wheels lol
ouch
ikr... contradiction corner
@@OompaLoompaCycling Hahaha that major contradiction i just cannot
maybe because when you fall, chances are your handle bar will impact the ground first. (of course depends on how you fall)
@@eternalarizon If you can crash hard enough to break a carbon handlebar, you can very well say that the frame and wheels would most likely also be damaged in some way. So what you mentioned still doesn't change the fact that what he said is still a major contradiction as to why he's afraid of carbon.
I am titanium
I am 1st!
Hello!
I am in MTB for almost 2 years and I am converting to road bikes....What do you think about Giant Tcr Advanced 2016 model?
- Is it good for beginners?
- What is the perfect size for 1.78 cm Height?
- Can I do packaging with the bike
Yes it’s a decent bike for beginners. Size wise you might want to refer to giant’s website to gauge but I would assume it’s either S/M of M. Yes you can pack the bike like any other road bikes. Goodluck.
@@OompaLoompaCycling Hey thanks for the fast responding!
Actually I am between Bianchi Intrepida, this Giant bike and CUBE ATTAIN GTC SL 2021 Model...What's your opinion? 😊
@@OompaLoompaCycling Hello I want to ask you what bike do you recommend....the Giant Tcr Composite with Fulcrum xero tyres or the Bianchi Interpida
I think your wheel is very badly out of balanced. the vibration is very bad during the hub sound check
PC stands for pro compact.

answer is in the video
2.8k for the bike + 1.75k for the wheelset
Tq
PC = PAUWER CYCLING? 😁
what is the weight of the bike?
answer is in the video
when i got my tcr at tay junction in january this year the price was 3.2k 💀💀
Probably coz yours is the disc brake version.
The rim brake version is slightly more affordable.
Now it cost 3.5k
not a bike guy but that saddle looks uncomfortable
With the right bibs (cycling pants with sponge pads) -> sitting on a cactus will not be a problem
i think giant tcr are slow pace, can't fast
🤣have u even ridden a tcr before?
@@marcustan5868 and ppl liked his comment 😅

wah shots fired... its seriously all in the legs of the rider...
If you seriously think that a bike makes you slow or fast, you really need to ride more.
A bike can add/take away some speed. But even the worlds best bike it isn’t going make your oversized posterior haul it’s way forward like a champ.
PC stands for park connector? 🤣
Pro Compact (52/36T + 11-30T)
@@yonglingng5640 yes...that was stated in the video 😅...i guess the joke went right by you 🤣
