  • About one and a half hours from Tromsø this waterfall is located 6 km into Tamokdalen from Overgård on the east side . It can be seen north of Postdalselva and parking is possible just south of Postdalselva. The approach is straight forward and takes approximately 30 min, depending on the snow conditions. I called the waterfall "Nordre Postdalsfossen" as I have not found any name for the route, please reach out if there exists a proper name for the climb. It's about 100m of climbing starting with a steep 15m pillar, followed by a flatter pitch and a final steep 10-15m pillar with again some flatter ground above. After the first pillar are different variations possible. You can either abseil the waterfall or walk/slide down to the south. The scenery is fantastic, as you can look along Tamokdalen towards the south south west, and especially in January the route gets the arctic light of the returning sun. #tamokdalen #tromsø #iceclimbing #ice #climbing #norway #northernnorway #arctic #mountains #petzl #blueice ‪@Blueiceclimbing‬ ‪@PetzlSportVideos‬ ‪@HaglofsAB‬ ‪@TheNorthFace‬ ‪@klattermusenofficial‬

That all looks familiar. I was ice climbing in Senja last March. It was fantastic!
