BEAR CREEK SPIRE. Brutal Day in the Eastern Sierras.

Bear Creek Spire. Luke said it would be a walk up...it wasn't. We got right next to the summit but didn't feel good about the 5.7 move to the summit. Our rugged route from Rock Creek to Pine Creek took us over Cox Col, Bear Creek Spire, by Lake Italy, over Italy Pass and down to the Pine Creek Trailhead. I don't know if I would do this route again as we had 7 miles of brutally slow off-trail, but it did make for one heck of an adventure for Luke's Birthday weekend.
