    The clone who died when they shot at eachother was Waxer, the same clone from the Ryloth episode who found that little girl with Boil. He even had her painted on his helmet if you look closely. RIP Waxer . .. Also we hate Krell! >:(

      No that was Waxer. They do literally say that it's Waxer in the episode.

    Oh, all these guys... Rex, Fives, Jesse, Tup, Appo Kix,... Huge props to the designers for giving many clones a unique design with armor paint, hair and tattoos and insane props to Dee Bradley Baker for giving each one of them their own voice... I could pick out Rex's voice anywhere.
    Keep Tup (the one with the teardrop tattoo) in mind, he will be hugely important later.

    I love how multilayered the theme of misplaced trust in this arc is - Dogma with his naive faith in Krell, Krell's belief that Dooku would automatically take him on as an apprentice just because he betrayed his troops, and if you keep going with it -- Dooku's trust in Sidious as we find out later on.

    "I like Hardcase too" "I hope i didnt just curse them" Oh Emme you are nothing but a damn JINX!
    Great reaction! This one of the best episodes of the whole show imo. The show is so good at mixing thought provoking questions about the clones and fantastic high stakes action, this arc is really the peak of that set on an amazingly designed planet as a backdrop.

    The arranged friendly fire incident is one of the most heartbreaking moments of the series and a testament of how well The Clone Wars humanized the clone troopers. Not to mention that the treason of General Krell is a good example of what Order 66 exists on paper - in the event that a Jedi commits treason against the Republic.

    The line General Krell uses when the clones come into the tower to relieve him of command "It's treason, then" is the same one eventually used by Palpatine when the Jedi come to arrest him after learning he is a Sith lord in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

  • @hehu4025
    @hehu4025 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    It will contain information from the legends and the Canon about Krell
    1. Belief in prophecies
    Krell believed in the predictions of the chosen one and knew that when the chosen one came, it would mean the end of the Jedii.
    2. Krell's vision
    The general was an excellent strategist at first and won every battle. He experienced a vision in which he saw Sidius' triumph.
    3. The Passivity of the Order
    Krell asked Yoda for advice, but Yoda replied on the principle that the future is uncertain. (Same as Anakin)
    4. Krell's plan
    The General knew Dooku they were even friends when Dooku was still a Jedii. He knew Dooku didn't join the Sith for nothing. So he wanted to join him to stop the vision of the Order's fall.
    5. The Dark Side Won
    Krell began his way into the dark in no time. His eyes turned orange sometimes, he committed more and more war crimes, and instead of controlling the dark side, the darkness controlled him.

    I think it’s important to think about how before the Clone Wars, Jedi weren’t really trained to be strategists in battles like these, so most Jedi would probably use tactics like Krell not because they’re heartless, but usually just because most of them probably wouldn’t really have any idea how to command a battle. Anakin and Obi-Wan are really more like the exceptions, while your run of the mill Jedi knight would probably just use wave tactics.

    When Hardcase is learning to fly the ship, Fives desperately tries to create an explanation for Krell. This scene is very similar to the famous scene Episode IV: A New Hope (1977) when Han Solo desperately tries to explain to the Imperials that there's nothing wrong during Princess Leia's prison break. Additionally, this is the only time in the Star Wars Universe where the word "alien" is used.

  • @diegomendez3943

    This episode introduces the Republic Z-95 Headhunter Starfighter. This ship has similarities to both the Republic ARC-170 and the Rebels T-65 X-Wing, the difference being the number of wings on each starfighter. The Headhunter is often considered the predecessor to the X-Wing

    After the clone wars ended many of the clones were tasked with training the TK (Stormtroopers) and when their usefulness was over the stormtroopers were usually ordered to execute them. But others like that one in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show became homeless. They all deserved better than that. It’s almost like when the Vietnam war veterans came home alot of them were shunned and alot of them became homeless.

  • @samuelclayhills3298
    @samuelclayhills3298 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I love how we are like Krell is going to execute Fives and Jesse? without a trial thats bad. Then they execute Krell without a trial. Moral of the story: if someone is more evil than you then war crimes are aok. Also Krell is still somehow less of a sociopath than Anakin.

  • @kevinworytko1099

    It didn't take long for Umbara to fall: the locals were ruthless. Efficient. But they weren't nearly fast enough. For you had already passed the torch. And because of you, we were able to find out about General Krell, unlocked his secrets, and shattered our enemy's resolve. But not without a great cost.
    Our victory - your victory, Hardcase- was so close, I wish you could have lived to see it. But now you belong to Umbara. Your body, your armor - all charred and turned to ash. Everything… except your courage. That, you gave to us. And with it, we can fight on.

    I cannot stand Krell. I hate him so much. If I was one of the clones i would fire an entire minigun right at the spot where he was stunned.
    Btw there can only be 2 Sith, no more no less and those are Palpatine and Dooku as of now. So Krell couldnt really be a Sith, just a Dark Jedi who wanted to switch sides in the war and become something like Ventress, a Force user assassin for the Sith/CIS. And also the droids name in Rogue One was K2SO, just so you know

    • @Ockerlord
      @Ockerlord 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maul considered himself Sith when he was with Savage,
      the Inquisitors considered him Darth even so he didn't anymore.
      The rule of 2 is a manmade guideline, not some law of nature.

    • @svkviper
      @svkviper 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ockerlord i mean yes that is true but if Krell was to join Dooku he wouldnt be a Sith, same with Ventress, just an assasin. They wouldnt break the Rule of Two. You cant just call yourself a Sith because youre a Dark Jedi. Maul considered himself a Sith because he is one, he just survived when thought dead so that is that 1 part when the rule was accidentally broken. Maul was loyal to the Rule of Two aswell but he had his own. So both Sith "gangs" wanted to kill the other Sith to keep their Rule of Two the actual one.
