u gave Ahsoka not too much credit when she fought Maul.. :D she was freaking darth vaders padawan.. :D she is a bad ass.. :P loved your reaction tho :D
Rey Park, the actor that physically portrayed Maul ep 1 in The Phantom Menace, came back to do the motion capture for him in the fights in ep 10, so when ever you see Maul fight, it's actually Maul fighting
So why do people credit James Earl Jones as Vader, but Ray Park as Maul? Like 4 people have been responsible for bringing Maul to life, and Sam Witwer has done far more work for the character than any of the others.
@@chand911 Because while Sam was the voice of Maul, Ray bore the silent menace of the character elegantly. Designed to be ninja ages and angry /jaguar/demon as opposed to Vader’s samurai/stormtrooper design, Maul was a silent killer and rarely spoke. Even Witwer recognized that Park breathed life and menace in his presence (real and animated) when in the role of Maul. They share the personification of Maul.
@aarswft he is speaking about the physical portrayal of maul and his prime fighting style. I agree Witwer IS Maul for me in everything except physically fighting. As an aminated character that isn't an option (especially on an animation budget - minus the final season where Disney put some $ in it) but seeing prime Maul fight is so great.
When Maul screamed everyone in his sight was gonna burn and die, he wasn't just throwing a tantrum; this guy was BEGGING for people to listen to him, before it was too late. He is completely driven by fear at this point, and considering what he knows is going to happen at any moment, I would be too. This episode just FILLS you with dread if you watch it with the proper context!
Additionally he knew where they would be heading... to Coruscant, the world of the Emperor who we knew all too well. He knew if they get to Coruscant, he would die a slow and painful death at the hands of Sidious... That's why [SPOILERS] he destroyed the hyperdrive on the Venator
When I initially watched these episodes I found an incredible fan edit that edited them perfectly into Revenge of the Sith. It was like five hours long. This is actually my first time seeing them on their own.
I loved the Maul tantrum so much, his fear of Sidious and his helplessness as these clones and Jedi under Palpatine's command focus their efforts on fighting him instead of Sidious. Maul's whole existence is so tragic.
"He's been long been groomed for his role as my masters new apprentice", shivers every time. Thinking about that conversation and everything that is at stake makes this one of my favorite moments of SW.
The key here, is that Maul isn't trying to lure her to the dark side. He's suggesting something far worse. An alliance between a former Sith and a former Jedi against a greater foe. Sith. Jedi. That doesn't matter, not whilst Sidious controls the galaxy. That's how terrified of Sidious he is. He doesn't want Ahsoka to join him. He's not trying to convince her the Jedi are evil, and that the philosophy of the Sith is superior. He's not asking her to change, or to touch the Darkness. He's just asking that they work together to kill the Emperor. Thats the only thing that matters. Contemplate for a moment, what that means. Its heresy for both of them. Generations of Sith would have rather died that work with the Jedi. She'd never be accepted back into the Order if the Council discovered her actions. That is the severity of what it being proposed in that moment.
One of the things I like most about the confrontation between Ahsoka and Maul in the throne room is that Maul flat out tells Ahsoka the truth. Maul has always had an agenda, and he can be deceptive, but he rarely outright lies, and in this case, not one single thing he says is untrue. But, because of Ahsoka's experiences, both with Anakin and with the Jedi Council, she's just not capable of believing him. Narratively, it's beautiful. Can't wait for your reaction to the final 2 episodes! And I hope you do plan to watch Rebels at some point. It really is an excellent show, and... gahhh, I don't want to give away any spoilers, just... trust me.
The best part is that Maul is right, it's too late to save the Jedi and the Republic. The only thing you can do is preventing Palpatine from getting a new apprentice. Ahsoka follows a logic similar to that of Barriss (especially after hearing that Luminara killed civilians in Martez Sisters arc) She agrees to join Maul. However, after hearing the truth about Anakin, she believes it to be a lie. She believes too much in Anakin. Her brother could not do such a thing. Anakin is the last member of the order important to Ahsoka.
These last 4 episodes take place during Revenge of the Sith. Also these episodes are basically one movie cut up into 4 episodes. You can tell that they got a massive budget for these last 4
You can tell how terrified Maul is of Darth Sidious, to the point where he couldn’t even say his name without trembling halfway through. He even told Ashoka to let him die; he would rather die than live a tortured existence under the rule of Emperor Sidious. He’s that terrified of his Master. He tried to warn them (_*“You’re all going to burn! We’re all going to die! You don’t know what your doing!”*_), and he was right, but no one listened.
Now imagine the emotional impact this had on someone who had literally grown up with Clone Wars from the start like I did... It was imcredible The final two episodes are going to be insane, definitely have some tissues ready...
It's hilarious to see you notice Maul being like 3 steps ahead of Ahsoka and everyone else on Mandalore and simultaneously not understand why Maul is beyond terrified once he no longer can prevent what's about to happen. He wasn't throwing a tantrum. He was warning them.
WE FINALLY HERE! This series really fleshed out Maul so much and make you kindof feel bad for him being thrown away. Love these last four episodes it felt like such an event when it came out. The Ahsoka reunion is so good.
This is taking place at the same time as episode 3. And it is common for Jedi who who uses two to have a shorter or shoto lightsaber in their non dominant hand.
This episodes about Ahsoka, Rafa and Trace that they are fought against Pyke is set after the comic the son of Dathomir and the book the apprentice of Dark side, that it was the death of Ventress
These last episodes are some of the best Star Wars ever made. Do yourself a favor, the second you are done with this series watch the First Episode of The bad batch, Tails of the Jedi and Kenobi you won't be disappointed trust me.
One of the reasons Yoda paired Ahsoka with Anakin was because she was strong in the force and advanced for her age, kinda like he was, plus now she has light side mojo from The Daughter. Mentioning age, i believe she is 17 during the siege of Mandalore, whereas when Obi-Wan fought Maul in Phantom Menace he was 25.
Ahh I just noticed that although you're watching the other episodes offscreen, you aren't necessarily watching them before reacting to the following episodes. In that case, without giving spoilers, I'd like to recommend that before you start S4 of Rebels you should catch up on the other Rebels episodes. Don't want you getting blindsided by things you mayhaps missed. Looking forward to your reaction to the Clone Wars finale!
For the final arc, the intros are more cinematic than the other arcs. And once more, it is shown than the best lightsaber duels in Star Wars: The Clone Wars take place in the Mandalorian throne room.
Dave Filoni wanted this arc to be epic. He tweaked it from his original draft since Clone Wars got canceled after season 6. There were probably enough episodes to fill 16 per a season 7 and season 8. Instead we get three 4-episode arcs to finish the series. And I’m sure this finale arc is better than the original planned one.
Anakin and Ahsoka saying goodbye at the beginning of the arc is very significant because Anakin is leaving to go be in Revenge of the Sith. The attack on Coruscant they're rushing to is the same one from the opening of Revenge of the Sith, so this is the last time Anakin and Ahsoka see each other before Anakin becomes Vader
The shorter saber in the off hand is called a "Shoto saber" There ment to be shorter when duel wielding, making it easier to use the shoto blade for blocking and perrying.
Good morning, Emme! I do hope you're going to watch the rest of this season, and I recommend having tissues handy for the "final 4" episodes. Methinks you're going to need them.
Alternate timeline, but in Lego form: anakin, obiwan, and padme decided to go to mandalore to deal with maul, and it was a success. The result: the mandalorians can now rebuild their nation and way of life without the former sith lord using them as bodyguards. I'd prefer that ending over this one, but let's see how things pan out after this.
with her hair like that her shit says nono :D That alarm at 6:18 means so much, for one it is the noise of a falling republic You have become a RRRRIVAL that jessies chip still worked after that 15:30 lul
Best animated duel yet. And how perfectly this arc pararells with Revenge of the Sith and fixes a lot of plot holes. The scream used on 20:15, its Palpatine's or rather Sidious' scream as he jumped towards Mace Windu and the other Jedi in the office which i think means those duels are happening at the same time. I cant WAIT for the last 2 episodes of this series
They're not, it's just a homage. (Spoilers) When they bring back Maul to the ship it's daytime, and plus at that point the council scene (Where mace says "I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi") hasn't even happened yet, so they can't be happening at the same time.
22:40 - I dont think it's not embarrassing... even without context of what's about to happen from Revenge of the Sith we only saw Maul scared once before: As Sidious walked into Mandalore throne room and proceeded to body him and Savage - and the fact that he seemd ot be terrified here and begs for death.. chilling. And with context from Revenge of the Sith... you know he is 100% right on everything he said this episode.
I don't know if anyone has already said this in the comments, but nonetheless, the way Ahsoka said goodbye to Anaking is significant because that's the last time they'll see each other. It isn't significant because the way they said it, but because of all the things that we the spectators know will happen after that moment. Of all the things they could've said to each other, all the gestures they could've had, they just wished good luck to each other and smiled. Although it was really brief, it shows how much they care for each other, to the point that no other words are needed for them to express their feelings. In my opinion, Ahsoka is definitely Anakin's little sister just as Obi Wan is his older brother. Sadly we all know how he ends up, making this last moment between both of them all the more tragic. BTW I love how your first reaction to Maul sitting in Mandalore's throne was saying that he's bisexual vecause of how he was sitting XD
I've said it elsewhere, but I really want to give another round of applause for the character designers' work on Ahsoka. Most shows with "kid characters" just keep them as kids. Or maybe they age them up into full-"angsty teen" mode without warning, or even to full-adulthood. "Clone Wars" had a much harder task, taking place over just three-and-a-half years, and starting off with her right in the middle of whatever the Togruta-equivalent of puberty is. They could have taken the coward's way out with "oh, she's an alien, that's just how her race ages" (cough-Alexander Rozhenko-cough), but they didn't. She goes from being roughly-14-but-almost-15-and-a-late-bloomer in the beginning, to being roughly-16-and-fully-sprouting by Season Three, to roughly-"just-turned-18" here, and the subtle shifts in her design over time, the slight increases in height, the slight decrease in facial "baby fat," her montrals getting slightly longer.... *mwah* Chef's kiss. No notes, it's done incredibly-well.
I feel so bad for Jesse i think he couldnt resist order 66 because Maul broke his mind also i cried when there was his helmet during funeral it means he didnt die for the republic he died with it
Ahsoka using a shoto is a common practice of the samurai where they would use a shorter blade with their off-hand in combat I think it’s implied that Anakin would tinker with Ahsoka’s sabers whenever he got the chance since the blade colors changed from green to blue. The crystals spent so much time with Anakin they switched to his blade color (my head canon at least) I 100% believe Anakin and Padme smashed before that bridge battle to help obi wan cause mans was in TOO GOOD of a mood. And him seeing Ahsoka again explains why in Revenge of the Sith he was also in a really good mood when rescuing the chancellor and even says Ahsoka’s “this is where the fun begins” line When Ahsoka is fighting her way down to Mandalore, it’s happening at the same time as Anakin and Obi Wan flying through the Battle Over Coruscant at the opening of episode 3. That’s why the music is the same and someone did an edit of the two events happening in tandem
Dave Filoni (Writer-Director) makes you really feel what the story is intendent to be for the viewer using the proper music, best actor voice/reaction and visuals. Great reaction👌
Maul threw a tantrum at the end because he was afraid of what’s to come, once he didn’t get what he wanted (anakin not coming) His only option was to run. He’s frustrated no one believes him but his credibility ruins all of it.
So this arc feels so significant because it's just days before Anakins turn to Vader and Order 66. It's a sense of foreboding. And the artists did it masterfully with the music the drawing of the characters faces...they look just like the animation version of Revenge of the Sith characters. This last arc is masterpiece...but it ain't happy.
These last episodes are essentially a movie in parts. P.S. When Ahsoka leaves Anakin and Obi-Wan in the beginning, that's right before Revenge of the Sith starts.
Ahsoka is an absolute badazz. She has taken on the best in SW's and hasn't received as much as a scratch. The list includes....Grevious twice, Maul, Anakin/Vader, Trandotions, and Hondo and his hoard of pirates. Her skills and knowledge are outstanding.
Great reaction! This 4 episodes make a hell of a movie! So awesome, so intense, the music, the animation, the mo-capped fight! Can't wait for your next video!
“the bisexual sit” has me rolling😂 and i can’t even cause that’s exactly how i sit😂😂😂 and yes i am bi😆💖💜💙 Also you really have to understand Maul’s mental state right now. “He’s seen the future and knows the chaos that us to come
In my opinion this was the most epic and consequential lightsaber dual in all of star wars, rey parks' mo-cap, and my love of these two characters are responsible for that, i know that other duals are way more important, but not to me. Watch out Emme, these next two episodes will break your heart, the intensity has been building so far, but it only goes up from here. Don't forget, timeline wise we're literally in Revenge of the Sith right now. You know what's coming.
Maul didn't know who Sidious is outside of his Sith master personality and he didn't know anything specific about order 66 as well, he was Sidious apprentice for a very short time before his defeat on Naboo, so Palpatine didn't want to tell him all of this
@@maxwell29op3 he was raised by him, but he wasn't a Sith apprentice for this time, just an assassin, Plagues would not allowed this to happened And Maul definitely didn't know, that Sidious in charge of the Republic in that moment
@@Arkilonn_ first of all the novel you are getting your information from is not canon. And of course because he didn’t become in charge until after the phantom menace he did know he was a senator
@@Arkilonn_ The Plageuis novel is legends and even in that novel Sidious lied to Plageuis by saying Maul was just an assassin. In canon Maul was trained as an official Sith, and was a banite Sith until his defeat meaning he was meant to be by Sidious's side by the time of the Empire.
This is the first time I've watched you with my grandsons, 3 and 5. I told them that you're learning how to be a teacher for little kids and askef them if they would like you for a teacher. They said yes. They even said they like you better than Star Wars, they are your fan.
Emme, PLEASEEEEE tell me you're going to watch Rebels! It takes place in the years right before Rogue One and Episode IV! I think you'll really enjoy the characters (especially Hera and Chopper, the droid) and the story is so fun and unique! Then, once you watch that, you absolutely have to check out the Mandalorian!
The final episodes of this season will break you. I suggest immediately afterwards watching the fifth episode of "tales of the Jedi". The first and last two episodes are one-shot throwaways. If you watch ep 5 right after the finale of clone wars, it'll rip your heart out of your chest and stomp on it.... in a good way. Good storytelling should make you feel something. It's like the blues, it's singing good about feeling bad.
So when Anakin and Obi Wan get called off to help the Chancellor....that is literally right before the start of Revenge of the Sith. So all the events from Revenge of the Sith which you have already seen, and know how it ends, is happening right now along side the events of this last arc.
We’re nearing the end and oh my GOD it is getting crazy
Loving every mi of the journey with you emme

No notes, it's done incredibly-well.
I feel so bad for Jesse i think he couldnt resist order 66 because Maul broke his mind also i cried when there was his helmet during funeral it means he didnt die for the republic he died with it
Ahsoka using a shoto is a common practice of the samurai where they would use a shorter blade with their off-hand in combat
I think it’s implied that Anakin would tinker with Ahsoka’s sabers whenever he got the chance since the blade colors changed from green to blue. The crystals spent so much time with Anakin they switched to his blade color (my head canon at least)
I 100% believe Anakin and Padme smashed before that bridge battle to help obi wan cause mans was in TOO GOOD of a mood. And him seeing Ahsoka again explains why in Revenge of the Sith he was also in a really good mood when rescuing the chancellor and even says Ahsoka’s “this is where the fun begins” line
When Ahsoka is fighting her way down to Mandalore, it’s happening at the same time as Anakin and Obi Wan flying through the Battle Over Coruscant at the opening of episode 3. That’s why the music is the same and someone did an edit of the two events happening in tandem
Dave Filoni (Writer-Director) makes you really feel what the story is intendent to be for the viewer using the proper music, best actor voice/reaction and visuals.
Great reaction👌
This last arc was amazing. It really was a fitting wrap up to the Clone Wars. You were right to be nervous. We all were. :)
It seems like you don't like Anakin but he was a huge reason that the Rupublic had many victories and why Ahsoka became the jedi she is.
Ah man, I’m getting goosebumps just waiting for the last two episodes of Clone Wars
Maul threw a tantrum at the end because he was afraid of what’s to come, once he didn’t get what he wanted (anakin not coming) His only option was to run. He’s frustrated no one believes him but his credibility ruins all of it.
He was freaking out cause he don't want to fail back in sidious hands
So this arc feels so significant because it's just days before Anakins turn to Vader and Order 66. It's a sense of foreboding. And the artists did it masterfully with the music the drawing of the characters faces...they look just like the animation version of Revenge of the Sith characters. This last arc is masterpiece...but it ain't happy.
Good and Evil, are not just necessary even in today's world, but are also a matter of perspective
These last episodes are essentially a movie in parts. P.S. When Ahsoka leaves Anakin and Obi-Wan in the beginning, that's right before Revenge of the Sith starts.
The Ahsoka / Maul fight was all done with motion capture, and Ray Park who played Maul in episode 1 came back to do the motion capture for maul.
The “bad” Mandalorians are called “Death Watch” so I’m sure they know what side their on. 😂
Great reaction! This 4 episodes make a hell of a movie! So awesome, so intense, the music, the animation, the mo-capped fight! Can't wait for your next video!
This ark is basically a DLC to Episode 3, Clone Wars Edition it runs parallel to it.
The lightsaber fght was coregraphed by motion capture actors.
Maul wasn’t going to die in this fight because he’s in the Solo film you watched a few months ago
He’s not bisexual just bisected 😂😂
"Im nota leaving you not this time."
😭😭😭😭😭😭
This is one of those arcs that you cant wait to see how your favorite reactor reacts.
lol, in spanish, R2D2 is called "Arturito" which is "little Arthur".
2:34 Anakin commiting war crimes again
I’ve seen them spell R2 Artoo before this episode I swear maybe I’m tripping😂
Artoo goes back to the original series. Like Threepio.
@@DanSolo871 yea I thought so
epic! 8:47-8:51 and 19:20-19:24
An incredible trip greetings emme and thanks for all your videos
just a little info the smaller blade is called a shoto saber
7:31 the last time they see each other as friends, next time.... sabers are going to clash.
“the bisexual sit” has me rolling😂 and i can’t even cause that’s exactly how i sit😂😂😂 and yes i am bi😆💖💜💙
Also you really have to understand Maul’s mental state right now. “He’s seen the future and knows the chaos that us to come
It's tempting because everything Maul is saying, which is wild. Maul is basically the dark prophet of star wars.
Anakin just comitts a war crime on that bridge lmao
Maul is truly elevated to a top tier Star Wars character in this episode
You were experiencing PEAK Star Wars 😮💨
You can't even start to imagine how everyone here is excited to see you get to the last two parts. Expect "some" drama 😂
bro fck it am buying my first patreon ever just to see your reaction to the finale, cannot wait another week. LMAO
Maul didn't know who Sidious is outside of his Sith master personality and he didn't know anything specific about order 66 as well, he was Sidious apprentice for a very short time before his defeat on Naboo, so Palpatine didn't want to tell him all of this
He knew who palpatine was. He was raised by sidious so you saying he was an apprentice for a short time is wrong
@@maxwell29op3 he was raised by him, but he wasn't a Sith apprentice for this time, just an assassin, Plagues would not allowed this to happened
And Maul definitely didn't know, that Sidious in charge of the Republic in that moment
@@thealmightypancakeface9585 exactly. Sidious didn’t know about anakin when he was training maul. Maul was intended to be his successor.
Thanks, Emme! 🌟 #Emme #StarWars #TheCloneWars
When anakin gave ahsoka those lightsabers, that was the last time they saw each other. For at least
"I'm scared, is Maul gonna kill her?" if only you knew there was nothing to be afraid of cuz she kicks his ass 😂
This is the first time I've watched you with my grandsons, 3 and 5. I told them that you're learning how to be a teacher for little kids and askef them if they would like you for a teacher. They said yes. They even said they like you better than Star Wars, they are your fan.
This arc inspired me to make star wars fan films! i was so invested with maul i dunno why lol
Maul predicted all Sidious plans about Anakin and republic before it happened
Emme, PLEASEEEEE tell me you're going to watch Rebels! It takes place in the years right before Rogue One and Episode IV! I think you'll really enjoy the characters (especially Hera and Chopper, the droid) and the story is so fun and unique!
Then, once you watch that, you absolutely have to check out the Mandalorian!
Yes!! I’m currently on the bad batch and rebels on patreon! Also youre right i definitely love chopper so far!!!
Great content! What kind of camera do you shoot with? Jc
