Tierra J Beauty Hey i had my daughter in January,my shedding started about 3months after but the worst was around the edges omg it looks like i was going bald. After about 2 to 3months it started growing back and now i love my new baby hair lol.

Most people hate Carol's daughter products now that they have changed a lot of the ingredients and added chemicals. Your hair looked great plus you are a licensed cosmetologist and give great hair advice.

Keep taking prenatal vitamins until baby 6 months and up your protein. Then shedding should stop. If you breastfeeding take vitamins until you stop feeding. Then it protein snacks cottage cheese, nuts, peanut butter no sugar added until you stop breast feeding.

My son is 5 months and my hairline is so thin now and my curl pattern has loosened also. I've been thinking about doing another chop for the past two months also 3 years natural gone down the drain!
Tierra your hair looks amazing && after I had my son my doctor told me to take my prenatal vitamins a year still after having my baby it helped with hair shedding && a lot of things mainly to keep you healthy till your body fully recovers.
Do you think an electric heating cap and a hooded dryer work the same for deep conditioning?

yes i have experienced this but never really notices until the fourth pg. nearly all my edges fell out😨😰 i was middle parting my hair for 3 mnth. thankfully itis growing back😌

i know im late but im a new subscriber. i used black vanilla carols daughter on my hair. im afro latina. my hair is fine and curly but spirals. it was ok on my hair . my daughter hair is 4b and 4c the bottom is more hydrated while the top is coily. i used it on her hair and it was horrible! it dried it out even more leave in conditioner made it chalky. i used shea mositure for kids slso same results. i now used ogx extra strength damageremedy + coconut miricale oil. sulfate free and i have the oil and OMG what a difference...i want to know why do you think all the natural hair products make her hair so stiff? even just for children ones. shes never had a relaxer. i admitt i havent been caring too good for it im trying now. i want to learn so she can be proud of her thick curly hair .

My daughter is 5 months and I'm having clumps of hair come out on wash day 😔😔 I always had a medium density very long hair so it sucks. I'm breastfeeding too so I'm sure it's making it worse but hopefully it'll end soon smh
add some castor oil and lavender essential oil to your wild growth oil. It will help with the postpartum shedding.

As a stylist what are your thoughts on using products all from the same line on wash day? Do you think its important or not. I just tried this for the first time and so far so good as far as my hair feeling balanced.
I heard that it is better to use products from the same line so that your ph is balanced correctly. Conditioners are formulated to balance the ph change that the shampoo caused from that PARTICULAR line so if you use different one then ph might be a little off but nothing too significant. I heard this so I do not know if it is true.
Abibat Iriafen that makes a lot of sense, do you think its the same for deep conditioning and leave ins too? I noticed some lines have a couple of products that are all moisture and a couple with some protein, so i was wondering if it was helping to keep that balanced too
Monay T. I've been a Registered Cosmetologist for over 25 years and at one time the Shampoo Distribution Company would put the ph on the shampoo or conditioner bottles. Now I've notice less and less of the bottles use it or even say that it's ph balanced. The ph use to 4.5- 5.5
Jeekai W that explains why i just read a book about natural hair by a cosmetologist and she said to use shampoo with a ph balance that matches your natural balance and i was wondering how to figure that out. maybe the book was written back then too
