that's actually not realistic. I have been natural for over 10 years due to disease and it is still thin because of genetics. I know much more girls with relaxers who hair is thicker and full of body, because of genetics. And the majority of companies have not lost any sales. They reintroduced products they sold when the first natural wave began in the 60s.

It infuriates me our school does not go more into depth training with students in regards to textured hair to better accommodate a large part of their clientele. It's important to note that this young lady already had very healthy sturdy curls, so in a way that's what made the end result that much more satisfying. My sisters and I all have different texture hair, but when we flat iron it the outcome is pretty much the same. It's not the texture of your hair, it's the health and dexterity.

And you deep conditioned her hair in the vid, but you didn't say if you rinsed it out after - it just shows you taking the cap off before blow drying. So did you rinse it out first? Also - did you bump her ends under before you wrapped her hair or did you leave it straight? I always wrap my hair at night with a silk scarf and if I'm just home all day I'll leave it up. It'll last a month. Maybe longer but I always want a new style after that.
It last long because I usually flat iron my hair st night and wrap it with a silk scarf. It makes it much smoother and flatter in the morning. Plus I always make sure it's not a lot of moist outside . If so I just wear a hood or hat. But when I it rains I'll wrap it too and put a hat, hood, and use an umbrella .. I have 3b/3c hair btw

I don't blame you. I just stick with relaxer, good hair moisturizer lotion, setting mousse and rollers. I don't put any kind of heat on my hair at all anymore and I'm better off for it!

almost every dominican woman does that. here we call it "tubi" but instead of that thing u used we use a cap made out of threat. I do that every night and my hair keeps straight for more than a week.

OK so my hair has been completely natural for my entire life my beautician did this exact same technique to try something new on me... now she does this to a lot of her clients but only on those who have relaxed hair or natural silky textured hair.... I was the 3rd person she has done this to with natural but my hair for some odd reason just got right back puffy from the humidity that into the Saran wrap... I wish it could work on me but apparently it didn't

Brilliant,back in 1976 when I started my Hairdressing Apprenticeship I was taught similar but with large rollers and under the dryer it used to take hours especially with long hair,but thank goodness for those straighteners , well done love from UK xxx

almost every dominican woman does that. here we call it "tubi" but instead of that thing u used we use a cap made out of threat. I do that every night and my hair keeps straight for more than a week.

OK so my hair has been completely natural for my entire life my beautician did this exact same technique to try something new on me... now she does this to a lot of her clients but only on those who have relaxed hair or natural silky textured hair.... I was the 3rd person she has done this to with natural but my hair for some odd reason just got right back puffy from the humidity that into the Saran wrap... I wish it could work on me but apparently it didn't
mine too, but I skipped the flat iron and blow dry :p and my hair is really short
