Monique compared her offer to that of comedians like Amy Schumer, Chris Rock, and Dave Chappelle. None of which are in her league. Thoughts?

Chris Rock crossed over... and Dave Chappelle crossed over. Amy started over there and crossed [slightly] over to "our side". Not because she made comedy that so much related to "us", but because she made comedy that got the general population talking about her.
I'm a fan of MoNique, but that Oscar for precious doesn't mean anything these days... barely means anything for her white counterparts. It's an antiquated form of recognition in a day and age where your social media following holds more value.
At this point, the general population doesn't know what to expect from her. The bulk of her old jokes were about skinny b××ches being evil, then she lost weight... lol [good for her too!].

Nine years of complaining does not equate to 20 million of dollars. There is a comedian who is not a legend with only one hit movie that can go to Netflix today and get at least 10 million and will make it back. That comedian is Tiffany Haddish. So that kills the race argument! I do agree that it is a very low offer, but instead of hitting up social media, Monique needs to get off her ass like many of us and hit the pavement and take her business elsewhere. Turn a "No" into a "Maybe", then turn a "Maybe" into a "Yes". I think it is a bad career move for Mo'Nique to place everyone on blast on social media and give them her ass to kiss without first going hard with negotiations and giving it some time. She could get a call 6 months or a year later with a grand YES. I say she should have talked them up to no less than 1, 1.5, or 2mil. Also, have her manager write up a proposal to how they see the return on her being the investment. Her husband as her manager is a bad idea and he isn't a good business man who thinks outside the box. It is called Show Business for a reason.
