I remember watching ShaNaNa back in the 70's as a kid. They had always ended with Goodnight Sweetheart. I like Bowzer. He's a cool guy. I found out one guy died in the video. Where are the rest?
Bowzer is still doing live Doo Wop Shows. One recent show was at the Mohegan Sun Casino where he had packed the arena. I think it was his 20th show there and I believe it was this past January, 2020. Although many of the groups that put on the show do NOT have all the original singers, because many passed away, Bowzer does his best to try and get as many originals as possible. I wasn't able to attend that show but people that went told me it lasted almost four hours and it was GREAT. There are several members of Sha Na Na that has since passed away. Dennis Greene, Lennie Baker, Chris Donald, Dan McBride and Reggie Batisse as I understand it.
I believe that Lennie Baker was the sax player. I seem to remember him playing the sax. He was the heavier set guy. I'm also seeing that Johnny Controna also passed away. There is a TH-cam video titled: "My Homage to Johnny Controna (Sha Na na) in the Still of the night". Posted by MegaSajs.
If you are referring to Larry Chance and the Earls, the song "Remember Then", I believe Larry Chance is still around despite his dealing with throat cancer. I'm not sure about the other guys but I'll see what I can find out. Maybe some others here might be able to help out. You might want to check out the web site: www.nycfire.net . It's mostly about fire dept but in the Videography section is a topic called: "They still got it". Singers of the 50s and 60s that still do LIVE Shows. Also there's another one called "Motown Revue" with some songs from the 60s. In addition to that in the "General Discussion" section is a topic called "The Ventures - Days of Doo Wop" about all those Doo Wop 50s groups and songs. These days, there are groups coming up singing those older doo wop songs because they are still popular and Doo Wop lives on.
The popularity of these guys at the height of the psychedelic 60s and then Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones in the 70s was almost an anomaly. They struck a chord with people. Their influence shouldn't be ignored also, from 50s themed TV shows and films to their hairstyles, which inspired punks image.

In 1980 or 1981, when I worked at a diner, Donny York walked in wearing his Sha Na Na costume. I didn't recognize him. A long, long time ago, when I was a university student, Bowzer was hired to co-host a morning tv show in Los Angeles with Stephanie Edwards, who was also the spokesperson for our Lucky grocery chain. (She must have done other work, but I didn't know about it.) When I didn't have class obligations, I tuned in sometimes to see what that would be like. My impression was that Bowzer was a pretty bright and interesting host, but that Mizz Edwards thought that she was in a whole 'nother league from him and shouldn't have to share a television show with him. One morning, Bowzer was telling a story about playing in the pit orchestra for a New York production of "Oh! Calcutta!" and, oh the indignation from Mizz Edwards! She seemed disgusted by the story, by him, and by having to work with him. I don't think I ever watched the show again after that, and I have no idea how much longer that co-host pairing lasted.
