Jeez... "VERY RARE" but not rare enough to assuage my discomfort about that iteration of our career, contrived by an external choreographer (the famed Jaime Rogers, in full dancer's discipline mode) during a personally trying interval of my own life. The freakazoid effort at a more evolved Las Vegas-ready act petered out, due to its sheer boring results in actual performance, and we got back to being a sheer song-by-song rock n' roll group before the time came when Hollywood producers were assessing the likelihood of translating us into a TV series.
Donny, first of all thank you for gift of song and entertainment over the years. Your commentary on videos is a priceless gift for all of us ShaNaNa aholicacs . Your behind the scenes info from your point of view are AWESOME. Thank you for being here to relegate the true story. Luv the 'thesis' themed assessement. I was a BIG FAN as a kid - Saw u guys @Sr. Johns University, Westbury Music Fair, Dr. Pepper Central Park, and even........opening for Zappa - Nassau Coliseum!!! Ran into Bowzer maybe 10 yrs ago - Damn - did that guys 'attitude' change? 'Jeez' is right. He remembered me, but WTF??? I bought a color coded shirt like yours, and cut off the sleeves! Anywaze, great freakin days back then...THX for makin' a 14 year old kid happy!
So was this before they started the TV show? Seems like in live stuff they were a lot rougher around the edges, and in the TV show they all were more lovable goofball greasers.
I really disliked the part with the fat jokes. Not funny at all. Insulting people's appearance has never been funny. Sha Na Na should be about the music, which is what they do best.
