I thought the bilingual feature was only restricted to reading messages in other language. Couldn't find any configuration to make Siri understand commands in two languages
Thanks for the update. You might already know the answer; if I select directions within Find Friends, or Devices can the directions track the target? So if I am heading towards a person, but they move in the meantime, can maps in CarPlay or my iPhone update the directions? No creepiness intended, just might improve rendezvous precision.
What about the HomeKit garage door in CarPlay ? Since many years , when you have more than one garage doors , CarPlay show only one in CarPlay randomly . I got three garage doors at home and CarPlay show only one randomly and not always the one I need . Very annoying Did this has change in iOS 18 ?
HINT you can record on any moderately recent version of ios while playing audio to anywhere including carplay headphones airplay bluetooth you get it. all you have to do it have you camera in photo mode. not video mode and hold down the photo button to start the recording. if you open the camera app and it is already on video mode it will automatically pause your audio and you will have to switch it to photo mode than restart your music. hope this helps!!
Great video, thank you! I never knew you could double tap to zoom in or out in Apple maps?? Thank you for providing this insight as it was a source of frustration for me.
is your CarPlay reliable with beta 3? I have also a BMW with iDrive 8, and since installing ios18 beta, I have stopped using CarPlay as the connection is unreliable. It sometimes lags and becomes very slow when using maps across both displays, and half the time the ability to scroll through music on the driver screen stops working, it just displays a blank list (this has been happening since last year before iOS 18) I just hope they fix it. Also sometimes the CarPlay screen does not show up, and pressing the CarPlay button on the main screen just shows a blank screen, only way to fix that is to restart the connection to CarPlay, or restart the iPhone.
@@michelleridley6007 hey there, im not sure if you have imessage locked behind faceid, but if its enabled on the phone, it hides it from carplay. As soon as i turned that off, messages appeared straight away. Hope this helps.
