DIY Rustic cuttingboard made with hardwood

  • Hi everyone, this week i made an easy totorial on how to make a rustic cuttingboard using two pieces of hardwood.
    Using just basic tools you can make a beautiful cutting boad.
    This project took me 5 h , most cause i planed 2 rough boards, the project itself was completed in about 3 h.
    As told in the video here the measurement of the two board i used

      No is not cherry wood but the color is similar

    In my eyes it actually seems somehow reminiscent of European Yew

      No, European yew isn't great for cutting boards, normally is highly poisonous except for the berry flesh that this tree make. I don't recommend to utilize this kind ofwood. Normally I use some more common in my area ( south italy) .

      I tell you, is a wood that nowadays nobody use, but was used in the past in europe 😉

      Are you telling us that you made this board out of elm? Wow that is rare to see if correct.

      @Joniruchi is not elm , but I know many wood carver still use elm .
