After watching this video I simply HAD to go tie a couple. Did mine with green and white goat hair and white dubbing on bottom and green angelina fiber on top. Great looking jigs! Thanks loads!
Junior....go down to wally world or any hobby store and buy you several bundles of macroma yarn. You will have and endless supply of tailing fiber. You cut it to desired length and zip tie it. Then brush it out with a dog brush. I refuse to pay the high price for that other fiber. It works just as well and a lot cheaper on your wallet.
Great idea! ill have to take a look! yeah some of these synthetics are crazy expensive! Ive actually bought bags of doll hair that are almost identical to big fly fiber and less than 1/2 the price! Not as many color options though lol
Absolutely correct. I have enough EP fiber from cheap macrame braid for at least 2 lifetimes. Most of mine comes as a diamond braid. Cut off an 18" chunk, pull one strand out, pull another etc until it is totally unwoven. I like to wash mine at this point and work in some cheap conditioner like Suave green apple. Work it in well, rinse twice then comb it out with a wire dog brush. Cheap, available in a multitude of colors, and effective.
Ive got a 7'4" medium vendetta spinning rod with 15lb braid that will be perfect with this. Probly fish it between 10 and 16 ft but will also fish it on shallow sandy flats as well. I think this bait will work best not fished on bottom to much

Nice! Yeah I want to tie up some olives and browns as well. Thanks for the support!
NIIIICCCCEEEEE!!
I think I'm going to scale this down to a trout fly.
17:14 rabbit zonker strips. Cross cut would work as well but it will collapse while the regular cut zonkers won’t.
Great idea! Ill occasionally do a rabbit strip loop to finish off a jig!
Some tightly spun wicked black ice dub around the collar would be cool 👍 - nice streamer jig!
Thats a great idea! Add a little more flash! Thanks!
@@juniorsfishingcompany I meant collar, not color :)
By the way.....this would be an outstanding night pattern for smallmouth in a shorter version. Really like this tie. Great job JF.
Thanks Alex! Feels good to be back tying jigs!

What would be your tackle recommendation and depth?
