- Hello Friends, in this video I have explained the procedure to Obtain an International driving permit in India. IDP is the document or license supplement that you need to drive a car in a foreign country. This video is in the Hindi language.
I have also explained the procedure to get it via RTO and the procedure to get it online via some websites.

Agreed, we don’t have any standardized process in place and somehow every RTO has a different format of IDP and documentation to follow. I’m remember how difficult it was for me to get an IDP when I came to Malaysia first time.

In 1997 I had gone to the USA and that time I got my IDP after Paying 15 Rs and that time they issued a booklet just like the one you showed . It was valid for one year from the date of issue.

Gaganbhai, I didn't even get Card type IDP. I got a A4 Size Paper written as IDP by Mumbai RTO. Medical certificate is Form1A which was issued by Local Medical MBBS Practitioner for 100rs in just 10 minutes besides the RTO.

Hi I have to do in most countries including post of Europe like Germany France Italy Greece and UK.
But never ever has anybody asked for international driving permit. My normal Indian licence has worked every where.
