If you are still in the city, the best place to chill and enjoy day is St Sava park, and street that gets you there has very communist feel unlike city center 👍🏻 Also Chegar hill is a few km from city and its where battle took place during First Serbian Uprising against Ottomans. Basically after the battle Serbs lost ,but Ottomans had much bigger losses of army so they were pissed, so they built Skull Tower from skulls of fallen rebels in order to remind locals what will happen if they try rebelling again. Niš is one of the most important and 3rd the richest city of Byzantine empire. Old name is NAISSUS, derivated from NAISA. While in Nis go to Nišlijska Mehana, Kafana Galija and Kafana Amerikanac for a lot of traditional Serbian cuisine that will blow your mind! Burek in Nislijska Mehana rocks but the whole menu is really tasty and very traditional. In Kafana Galija go for a thing called telece glava (calfs head) and as you guys love kajmak get one butkica sa sosom od kajmaka i rena (Ham hock in kajmak and horseradish sauce). In Kafana Amerikanac go for teleci repovi (calf's tails), sarmice in a grape leaf, and Serbian grill (amerikanac cevapi and raznjici mix). Enjoy and have fun!

When I saw you guys approaching that “tost” stand, I was like “nah, so many better places, few meters away”:). Having said that, now I miss the smell of those hard pressed sandwiches 🥪
Haven’t seen my city in 5 years. Than you for the video, you guys are super awesome.

Love the mountain view.I enjoyed the view of the mountains what are the mountains running through NIS called
The City of Niš (arround 300.000 citizens is situated in Niš valley). There are mountains and hills all around. On South-Eastern side there is Suva planina (Dry mountain) and on the North there are Svrljiške planine. More further on East there is famous Stara planina (Old mountain). Niš is becoming more and more beautiful every year. You should go and visit beautiful Sićevačka klisura (Sicevo gorge).
