    Simply beautiful. The scenery, the story, the bonding, and the time with your kids. I just returned from a trip, the first with one of my daughters, and aside from her fracturing her ankle in the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain (a story for another time), it’s a moment and memory I’ll cherish for as long as I’m able. A couple of decades ago I spent an evening driving the length of the Pahsimeroi Valley. I saw no one except a couple of cowboys headed to town for a Friday night. The open vistas were a sharp contrast to the forests of north Idaho that I am used to. You are right, Idaho has tremendous diversity of landscapes, even among its mountains. Rob was right, Bannock Pass was not worth airing down for on the day that you did it. However, I did it for the first time on a rainy day in early June this year and the Montana side was a sloppy mess. I was surprised since the Idaho side was such a high standard gravel road. Keep up the good videos. Rob is a good role model for drone work.

    This side of Idaho had a extremely heavy snowfall this year. Meadow lake usually opens for camping by August. My kids caught their first fish in Meadow lake. I have many friends in Leadore. We were on many different trails in this vid...but Trail Creek Road is a good starting place.

    I swear I watched this before it was released 3 days ago. Do I have some serious dejavoo or am I cray?

      You probably watched Rob’s version a few weeks back (I did too!). Always good to see different versions of the same trip!

      Rob and I have a pretty similar thumbnail too…(just a coincidence). But the vids are quite different even though they cover the same area and time period. If Rob is Mozart..I’m more Imagine Dragons lol.

    Do you share your route or waypoints on Patreon?

      Not automatically. But if/when a Patreon supporter asks for something specific, I usually take the time to help them out.

    Everything is great, just a little overblown story about driving through the snow. Your vehicles are capable of more severe crossings than this memory of snow. Otherwise, a very very nice list of driving and adventures that you go through and not only in this video. Be safe on your adventures and I wish you safe driving.

      So glad to hear you are liking the vids. You’re right that our rigs can handle more…but off camber in the snow is no bueno…especially when neither Rob nor I are super experienced snow wheelers…but It was also probably a bit dramatic for TH-cam 😂..that’s just my style…I’m a sucker for leaning in to moments in a video. Cheers!!

    You are extremely talented with your cinematography. But there are certain areas you just don’t share bro… so good video but if you’re an Idahoan, wtf man?

    • @Venture2Roam
      @Venture2Roam  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you I appreciate that. As for areas to share or not…as a born and raised Idahoan I’m sure I’ll ruffle feathers as I go when folks think I’ve shared their secret spot..but I never put coords in my vids, so if someone watches this, gets inspired, then puts together the breadcrumbs from my vid to build a route and come try to explore this area…in my mind they’ve earned it. Plus, the Lost Range is no secret…everyone knows Borah is our highest peak…it’s a very well known climbing spot.
