Hi Kalyn! Fellow runner here. If your knees are hurting then it's likely that the cartilage in your knees are breaking down from the constant strain so it'd be smart to take Glucosamine supplements if you aren't already :) It's a protein that's also called type II collagen and repairs cartilage. I use it and haven't felt any pains in my knees ever since (also made some runner friends do it and it cleared it up for them too). You can just get it at places like Shoppers or Walmart~ Also, go go winter running! -high five- Love from, a fellow Torontonian.

Kalyn, if your knees are hurting you might want to go to a specialized running store where they can assess your foot type/size and recommend running shoes. I'm looking at your running shoes right now, and I might be wrong because it's a bit hard to tell, but they don't look like they are insulated enough for shocks from repetitive movement of your feet hitting the pavement. I was in varsity cross-country in high school, and that is what our coach would recommend. It applies to non-varsity runners also. Also, if you can try to run on grass or gravel trails, to shake it up a little because pavement is very agressive on your joints.

I started the new year strong... then about 15 days in i just fell off the wagon. I keep telling myself each day is a new day but I can't get back to it all. Tomorrow ill actually do something. I need to change my habits, it only takes like 21 days to establish a habit. I can eat well & start an excersize routine for that long. Your videos are so inspiring and I want that spark back that i used to feel earlier this month.

I would love a video about running. Like a beginner's guide to 5k. I tried running at summer outside, it felt great but I was sure I was doing it wrong and I don't have the stamina to run on a treadmill so I stopped but I really want to get into it
queeneva3 There is an app/programme called ‘Couch to 5k’ that you could try, it’s supposed to be really good for building stamina for people who haven’t done much running before.
