Nice Video! Thanks for share you experience with us. I would like to know the brands of the battery and how this scooter behave when the lever of charge drops below of the 50%? Thanks!
As far as batteries go i don't know the specific brand. All the battery has on it is that it was made by "dualmoto." As far as handling at 50% or lower is just fine. Of course your top speed is relative to your battery voltage. When I get below 50% i usually maintain about 27 to 30mph, but i am 210lbs.
Yeah those videos will be coming. Up and down slopes i think is where this scooter is best. I have some pretty steep hills where i live and it will usually stay around 29 to 30mph going up. Pretty impressive.
I have a Nanrobot D5. I believe they have the same motors as D4 but the battery is 26amp. I am 155 lbs. I got GPS 37mph max twice (during like the 1st 15% of a full battery). Wanted it, but never got the 40mph, yet.
I don't know why about a month ago, some different youtubers posted videos that they got 40mph+. ??? Maybe my motors are too new and still need to break in more. IDK.
As far as speed, put it on a make shift lift with both wheels off the ground. and then put it on full power and look at the speedometer.if you don't see 40 mph then something is wrong with the settings.
Nice video I am a 275 pound male 6‘2“ Do you think this scooter will be cool for me I like the one with the Seat on it to take with me when I go ccamping in my travel trailer thank you for the video 👍🏾
Well it depends what your looking for. If your looking for speed then you will be highly disappointed. If your looking for features a decent scooter with a good price point then yes. If i had to do it all over again I definitely would have chosen a different model. Thank you and ride safe.
@@tgmcfly3568 Well i sent mine back recently and traded it in for the nanrobot Rs7. Very pricey and I haven't received it yet but when I do i will do a review on it. What changed my mind on it is that my buddy brought over his dualtron3 and the d4+ didn't even come close to quality, speed and features. But i figure ill give nanrobot another chance.
Thank you for the review! I have a question. I have my the scooter setting on power 3, eco off, dual motors on. Been riding it for 15 min and i notice that after i dont get the same pick up as i first started. Does the motors have a cooldown in between? Also when i try to put it back on single motor the scooter will not move; have you countered this before?
Well a couple of things could be happening. If your loosing a little power that is normal bc as the battery drain it will reduce in power and speed to a certain extent. Now for the dual motor issue. You might have a loose connection. I would look at that first. After u check all your connections and it still doesn't work i would contact nanrobot and get a warranty dual motor switch and replace that. I hope this helps.
hello...when does the scooter turn itself off...is it when the volt reader reads 45 or what ever youve set it at or is it when it reads 45 while you are riding because i know the voltage goes down when you thrttle it...thanks for your help...adam
Can you put a stabilizer shock on the front end? My D4 is very loose front and I feel unsafe at higher speeds. It wobbles back-and-forth. If you push on it what would you suggest Robert from Cincinnati Ohio
With how gas prices are I’m thinking about using one of these to commute to work. It’s about 19 miles there. Do you think this would be a good alternative. I was thinking about a moped but you need a motorcycle license to use those which I don’t have
I just read of a guy who's locking mechanism broke on a ride. It folded on him while doing 30mph, sent him to the hospital... how's the thing that holds the locking bolt holding up?
I would say no at 6'6. You would have to go for a bigger model. Like the nanrobot rs7 or ls7. I know its a lot more money but a lot of these scooters are not made for us tall guys. Good luck on your search.
I have one of the earlier models of the nanrobot with 2x 1000w motors. I am not tech savvy. When I am running dual motors, One motor cuts out I think when it's getting hot. Would you have any idea if that's fixable? Maybe a power setting?
Hi! One Seller told me that the tires are not tubeless and cannot be changed into tubeless. If something very sharp gets deep inside the tire, does it start losing air? And if so, is it possible to remove the tire and fix the damaged area on the air-tube or not? Maybe the tire and its air-tube are too thick for safety reasons? Thanks.
This particular scooter doesn't have tubless tires but for example the dualtron 3 and the dualtron ultra do. Also many other scooters have them, so you can have tubless tires. You can also replace the tires fairly easy. I posted a video of doing it. Just go into my video play list and see. Thank you for watching.
I was thinking of purchasing this but concerned about all the issues with nanrobot quality and shipping issues. Would you recommend this one or something comparable in about the same price range?
I would spend the the 200.00 extra and get the d5+. Worth the money in my opinion. Its hard to find something in this price range for the value and quality. Yes they have there issues but from what i understand they are working on them. I own a lot of scooters and each one i have stuff to complain about. With these things it's always going to be a give and take. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
It does, thank you. My biggest concern is safety at higher speeds though. Hearing rumors of folding latch coming undone while riding sounds kinda sketchy. Out of the box, how is the folding mechanism on the d5? Was it initially lose and wobbly like the d4?
Why don't you look up how to remove the speed limit on those on TH-cam? Also as for crowded handle bars, why don't you get an add-on bar that you mount to the handle bars and use to put all your accessories on.
Best thing to do with anything Chinese made is swap out all the nuts and bolts you can and replace any nuts with Nyloc or loctite them. They tend to be very soft.
If your steering is hard you might have to loosen the big nut thats at the bottom of the stem. Kinda hard to explain but basically there is a big metal rig looking thing where the stem connects to the scooter that you will have to loosen. I know this isn't much help but hopefully it points you in the right direction. I will take a second look at mine today when i get hope and maybe i can give you more specific details.
like everyone else my speedometer is off and Im thinking of adjusting the diameter settings. I contacted nanorobot to ask them if this hurts anything else. But Im wondering how to increase the speed. Since my D4 came with two sets of tires, one set is the knobby off road (which was on it from factory) and another set of road tires. I am wondering if switching to road tires will somewhat increase speed. Does anyone have any experience with the diff between the tire types. I am also not getting to much faster than 35mph on the regular tires.
I was getting quite close to ordering this scooter because it claims 40 mph. But changed my mind because couple videos on youtube shows it only goes 34mph and was checked with radar. I already have scooters that go 26 mph and a 27.4 mph. I'll just keep looking for the 40 mph scooter
This is my next purchase on payday. Do you have any regrets on buying this one? Is there a different scooter out there that you would rather have for the same money?
Yes. I sent mine back. I ordered the rs7. Figured id give them another chance. If u want speed and quality then the d4+ id not for u. If u want a inexpensive somewhat fast scooter then the d4+ is what u want. It changed my mind when my buddy brought over his dualtron 3. The nanrobot d4+ didn't even compare to his.
I sent mine back and ordered the RS7. The d4+ was disappointing. Speed sucked and a lot of quality issues. If u want an entry level scooter that goes over 30mph with a decent price point then the d4+ might be right for u. It wasn't what i expected. My rs7 will be in on Wednesday and i will be doing a video on why i sent my d4+ back.

Hi i have the new version D5+ there seems to be quite a few reviews of the new D4+ but no reviews about the new D5+ or unboxing videos was wondering why that is nanrobot say the D5+ is their best selling scooter but it's not looking that way everyone seems to be going for the D4+ i also have the old version of the D4+ but i decided to go for the new D5+ instead of the new D4+
I found a few d5+ reviews on YT about that scooter. Sometimes you have to enter different words in the search bar to find them. The reason why i bought the d4+ over the d5+ bc the specs seems simular except for range and price. Knowing what i know now i think i would of went with something totally different.
Hey my friend I do have a question about my scooter its coming in KM and i do wanna change to milles. The one I do have it is the nanrobotD5 if you can help me with that I will appreciate your help.
I don't have the d5 manual but if you email nanrobot support they will send you a manual in your email or just email you that particular setting for your controller. I hope this helps. Ride safe friend.
Can someone help me out i just hot my D4 3.0 but it came with off road tires are these tires good on the street or side walk i want to change them to on road tires.. (do i need to?)
No i didn't, but im sure you coild make it happen. You would have to order a kit with the switch in the brake levers and probably different back led lights. It does have a black connector that is for brake lights inside the deck.
That's pretty crazy about your top speed being low I weigh about 160 and I'm 5-9 slim build not producing much wind resistance and I got mine Straight Out of the Box all I adjusted was disengaged the electronic brake tightened all the controllers and throttle and everything on the handlebars and adjusted my kilometer in miles per hour also adjusting the size of the diameter of the tire not sure if you had to do that the mine was reading 55 mph because the tire was set for 10 in which is the diameter of the outside of the wheel but it fits on an 8-inch rim that's why it's an 8 inch tire but I got mine up to 46 miles per hour clocking it with map navigation application on a phone and also next to two vehicles so I'm not sure if it's production that's affecting top speed or if it's something more technical but it would be awesome if we did figure out why it is the way it is.
The odometer is not effected by the wheel size. The odometer is reading the hall sensor that is internal to the motor, so it is a fixed position. No matter what size wheels you put on your scooter the odometer is going to read the same because it is measuring distance not speed. Same as on a car.
@@wattsinyours my bad. Is it the same on every scooter because I tested this out (on my Speedway mini 4) and the odometer got 9.5km with a wheel diameter on 6.5 and 11 km with a wheel diameter on 8. I gotta test that again hoping I'm wrong, so that I can get a more accurate speed reading. Thanks for the videos, good content! I'm about to purchase the d4+ myself so very nice to see the internals and all.
@@simonmllerkristensen9640 The best way I found to get the most accurate spped reading is put it up against your gps on your phone and adjust the wheel size to read the same as your gps. Once it reads the same speed leave your wheel size accordingly. Ride safe my friend.
@@wattsinyours on the Speedway mini 4 the wheel diameter do affect the odometer. Did a test on a specific distance with the diameter set to 0 and back on the same stretch with the diameter at 20. Huge difference, unfortunately.
@@simonmllerkristensen9640 thats interesting. So basically you have to have a set distance let say a mile and then set your wheel diameter to match that mile. Now after you set that wheel diameter to match your distance how does that affect your speedometer?

@@SaltCreep45 it will take about 8 to 10 hours to charge unless you have 2 chargers. And as far as the controls go i took mine off and set it in the order i wanted them. You will just have to cut some wire tires to get some extra slack from the wires.
I am getting an error code that nobody seems to know about. It’s an M with a circle around it with a square around that. And my rear wheel won’t engage
I wish you would’ve mentioned what a pain in the ass it is to install the rear fender. The holes are slightly too small for the bolts so you have to bore them out a little. Also, according to the manual, P2 isn’t for the sensors. It’s the polarity of the magnets in the motors.
@@RayRiv73 23ah is the better choice. I think you will deff get a lot more range but i haven't tested mine until the battery died. The furthest i went on it was about 28miles, but deff had a bit more juice to go further. Remember this is all based on your weight, riding style etc etc.

Your speed is reading 32 because you have it set for 7 inch tire it's actually 10 inches of a tire to the outside of the tire by diameter that's why it says that the description but it fits on an 8-inch rim and that's what you know we in the u.s. use is coming tire size mechanically speaking can I set mine to 8 in tire in my miles per hour read correctly I didn't have to calibrate anything else run right beside a buddy of mine and his car and topped out at 46 that was probably with the Wind on flat surface and me having a slim build I'm producing very little wind resistance. But it's very possible that your scooter just doesn't form as well as some others I know the battery has a lot to do with it if the battery has any result of memory corruption in it it can displace power capacity.
Well i have almost 10 different scooters and all mine are calibrated to my gps, so if yours is reading 46mph then i would like you to post a video of your gps speed that would confirm your speed.
I just got my D4+ yesterday. Out of the box the screen on the controller was cracked. Via the website Chat I was able to report the issue and they said they would send me a new controller. I then charged up the scooter and quickly found out that it won’t turn on. Again asked the tech via Chat and he had me check the connection from the key ignition, which was plugged in properly. I then sent photos and videos of the scooter and he said he would have to get back to me. I even tried calling the U.S. phone number for support and the number is no good. I’m not off to a good start with mine. Anyone else have these issues?
After jiggling the wire where the ignition plugs in I was able to get it started. Seems there is a short in the connection. FYI in case anyone else has the same.

Hey Sampson, ok so im not saying i don't believe you, but my buddy rides my scooter sometimes and he is 165lbs and 5'10. He gets it up to 34mph tops. This has been a big topic of discussion and nobody has reached 40mph on this scooter so far. My challenge to you is to buy a phone mount for your scooter and download a gps app to your phone. Take a Video of that speed on the GPS on your phone. If i see 40mph on a flat surface then i will retract my findings. The throttle controller is not accurate. Ive tested it time and time again. I had the d4+ 2.0 and i have the d5+ 2.0. Neither will hit over 34 or 35 on its best day according to gps. And nobody has posted the scooter going 40mph on gps bc the scooter will not do it. 52v on 2000w motors with the way they have designed this is technically not possible. If it was a 60v scooter then yes it will do it all day long, but not 52v. So in conclusion nobody in the world so far has posted a video of the scooter going 40mph on gps.
Hi. Where do you recommend? I get a replacement battery for this exact exact scooter?
The speed quoted is for a 65kg person. Your 90 with another 10 in bags etc. If your getting 33mph your doing very well.
Do you ride it in the rain? If yes, have you noticed any damage? In not, what do you use for transport?
No i don't ride it in the rain
Does this scooter need a kick to get it going ? Or does that mean something is wrong ?
Great review. We need to see range and top speed up and down slopes. And range test.
Yeah those videos will be coming. Up and down slopes i think is where this scooter is best. I have some pretty steep hills where i live and it will usually stay around 29 to 30mph going up. Pretty impressive.
I'll do one too with my D4+ when I get it and we can see, definitely, if the D4 just goes 30mph, or if wattsinyours has a fluke lemon.
I got a direct email response from nanrobot and they said 32mph is normal.
IDK.
Thank you sir for the clarification, this is very helpful!
when you were talking about the modes you ment the gears right? mine has gear 1 2 and 3.
Thank you and ride safe.
wattsinyours what model do you think is good🤷🏾♂️
@@tgmcfly3568 Well i sent mine back recently and traded it in for the nanrobot Rs7. Very pricey and I haven't received it yet but when I do i will do a review on it. What changed my mind on it is that my buddy brought over his dualtron3 and the d4+ didn't even come close to quality, speed and features. But i figure ill give nanrobot another chance.
I just got mine and P7 (power start) will POP A Wheelie, seriously, rear tire spin, front wheel up in the the air. It launches stupid aggressive.
So it maxed starting torque?
JOHN-OKC what number did u put it kn
@@wattsinyours Check out this problem, th-cam.com/video/t5nF5_x7BEg/w-d-xo.html
hello...when does the scooter turn itself off...is it when the volt reader reads 45 or what ever youve set it at or is it when it reads 45 while you are riding because i know the voltage goes down when you thrttle it...thanks for your help...adam
Typically it should turn off at 42v but you could set it to 45v if you want.
I was thinking about a moped but you need a motorcycle license to use those which I don’t have
I have scooter nanrobot D4 but speed so slow , Can you help me How to fix it please. Thanks
I just read of a guy who's locking mechanism broke on a ride. It folded on him while doing 30mph, sent him to the hospital... how's the thing that holds the locking bolt holding up?
Great videos! One question. I am 6`6 and around 210 pounds. Will this work for me? Can you raise the handlebars enough?
Thanks
I would say no at 6'6. You would have to go for a bigger model. Like the nanrobot rs7 or ls7. I know its a lot more money but a lot of these scooters are not made for us tall guys. Good luck on your search.
Hell no
Hello.
Can this scooter be used in rainy weather?
Carry a spare tire!

You mite have the turbo off if you have the dual motor and turbo on u will go about 43mph i own this same one
I got this scooter up to 45 mph surprisingly.
you sure that's not km/h?
Why don't you look up how to remove the speed limit on those on TH-cam? Also as for crowded handle bars, why don't you get an add-on bar that you mount to the handle bars and use to put all your accessories on.
Best thing to do with anything Chinese made is swap out all the nuts and bolts you can and replace any nuts with Nyloc or loctite them. They tend to be very soft.
Hey bro. Plug the charger into a wall power outlet first then plug the other end into the scooter to eliminate the pop.
Yeah im aware of that but if you look in the manual it specifically says to do the opposite, but in my experience either works for me.
Hi, do you why DT5+ steering wheel turning so hard.? What should i do?
Where did you buy the bag?
I was getting quite close to ordering this scooter because it claims 40 mph. But changed my mind because couple videos on youtube shows it only goes 34mph and was checked with radar. I already have scooters that go 26 mph and a 27.4 mph. I'll just keep looking for the 40 mph scooter
get a 5400/5600 watt e scooter like the gunai one
How is the voltage sag while accelerating up hill? 2 to 6 v drop is too much?
nice set up
This is my next purchase on payday.
My rs7 will be in on Wednesday and i will be doing a video on why i sent my d4+ back.
how do you adjust for 1000 or 2000 watts motor?
By the turbo button.

Well i can tell you that mathematically that there is no possible way that you got that scooter to go 46mph even going down hill. Lol
I've reached 37mph maximum on this scooter but in honestly it all depends on your weight if u want to reach 40mph u have to be lightweight

The odometer gets affected when you change the wheel diameter.

Oof man. I feel your pain. Seriously. Good luck
Well now we know how they get 40mph. Jack up the speedometer to read fast.
I wish you would’ve mentioned what a pain in the ass it is to install the rear fender. The holes are slightly too small for the bolts so you have to bore them out a little. Also, according to the manual, P2 isn’t for the sensors. It’s the polarity of the magnets in the motors.
