I feel like these things should be done at the manufacturing stage of these scooters. I need to get from point a to b and I don't have the time to do all these hacks.
It's not good to put that high density foam between the floor and the battery. That causes all the pressure and vibrations from your body to push on the battery pack. The gap is there for a purpose. There are other ways to secure the battery, closer to the edges.
Being an avid boater, I'm used to dealing with water intrusion. I would suggest butal tape for this application. It is excellent for waterproofing while remaining easy to remove.
Also i didn't want to leave the whole sheet because i did want it to act like an insulated blanket and cause the battery to get any warmer than it has to.
Good video, I don't have any issues with water in So. Cali~ were mostly always in a drought, but this is good advice if you run it in water..I got pulled over today by a sheriff, he didn't give me a ticket but he lectured me on Cali's scooter laws, not supposed to ride faster than 15 mph on a scooter, bwahahaha, ok officer I will slow it down, wink wink, he was cool about it, liked the scooter, just said to slow it down...okee dokee….as soon as he was out of sight I was doing 40 again...can't help it.
@@wattsinyours maybe you can give me your opinion Should I get the 6D+ Do you think they will have seat for it ? What is better disc brakes or oil brake ? Thank you !
I guess you could. Never really thought about that. Not a bad insurance policy, but if was to get water in my deck i would take out the battery and dry it all up. I get your point with the sponge though.
He's got an RS7 not the LS7, very similar though... He did a comparisons video against the Dualtron already you should check it out , he did a good job. And sealing the deck won't void the warranty on the Nanrobot.
@@wattsinyours the dualtron appears to have bigger more solid pieces holding it together where the ell S7 and RS7 seem to have more small pieces. That's just going based off of visual appearance alone though, @wattsinyours would you agree that that's the case having seen both in person?
Awesome ideas. I also am all about modding my similar scooter. I have a clone from a different manufacturer, but can tell that we have the same chassis and electronics inside. I thought I was the only one digging around inside this thing, but I have had some mechanical challenges along the way, so I had to. Thanks for sharing your efforts. I have been thinking about a gasket for the main compartment also, since the rtv gets hosed the first time you open it. My initial thoughts are that the deck needs more bolts added to clamp well enough to be effective. Subscribed - feel free to check my efforts out too! FYI - I have replaced my throttle with a Ey3 controller from minmotors, and it I am much happier with it than the original like you have. Hey strider thanks for watching and subscribing. I watched a couple of your videos. Love the fact that you dive right in so great job. Its funny bc i was looking at those scooters online before i bought my nanrobot and yes it is the same exact scooter except for a couple of part, like the stem for the handle bars. The only reason why i didn't buy that one bc it wasn't as well known and was worried about warranty issues. Side note i almost bought it though lol. Where do you order parts for that? Do they have a website. I was just wondering so if i need parts for my rs7 i have an additional place to look. I hope to explore more about these scooters with you and my TH-cam fam and good luck with your repairs and mods. As always im here to help where i can.

That gasket without gluing make no sense. Plate on top i so thin to keep it in proper squeze. Remember you jumping on top of it and everything is working. Rubber will lose its elasticity over time and I can bet that you will find more gaps between bolts then before. Is better to use proper glue for that type of job .
I would have to agree with you to some extent. I could glue the bottom down and not the top so when i take off the lid i don't have to reglue it. What do you think?
Even the most expensive China scooters look underbuilt and poorly designed compared to my 20 year old Kawasaki which can survive half submerged in water. Both are Asians eating stuff with chopsticks but their philosophy to product design is just a world apart. Also his effort is just slightly improving the scooter as there are numerous holes for water to seep in. The entire design of these Chinese scooters does not take rain into consideration. The Chinese are happy with taking your money and don´t care if you die with brake failure or the scooter explodes and burns your house down while charging.

THANK YOU. This was very instructional and a Fantastic Idea! I will be implementing after your idea.

Great work you should be the boss at the factory and show them how its done
Lol i wish. I think now some of the higher end scooters are doing it finally. Thanks for watching.
Hello, I use for similar sealing thin foam strip with adhesive - it is usually used for doors or windows. It work well for me.
Yeah that is a good idea as well. Thanks for your input.
Thank you, you helped me repair the water resistance of my imax s1+
Your welcome. Thank you for watching.
Useful. Why not use entire rubber sheet? Doesn’t appear removing center is necessary.
One question: why did you cut the rubber sheet to fit the frame? Can't you just leave the entire thing in there?
Awesome tutorial, thanks!
I cut it to fit the frame.
Also i didn't want to leave the whole sheet because i did want it to act like an insulated blanket and cause the battery to get any warmer than it has to.
@@wattsinyours ah, I see. Great, thanks!
Won't that overheat the scooter?

What scooter do you have? Where you riding with a seat or standing? You blend in better standing up. Make you look like a rental line or bird scooter
great idea bro and also you can apply this to any scooter
Hey, I like your idea. I have a d4 +3.0. Have you had any issues since waterproofing it? Any overheating or anything? Thanks.
Great video bro 💪🏽
Thank you.
Great video ✌🏿
I want a modification that locks the stem in place when I fold it and also so it doesn't scratch the floor plate as well.
Hey man thanks for the vid was looking to do some kind of water proofing. Very clear spoken also thx bro.by the way what version is that u have.
πολύ βοvery helpful video. Good job! Can I ask you how many millimeters is the rubber?
Amazing videos !
Thank you very much!
@@wattsinyours is it difficult to order parts for the rs7 ?

@@OHADASSUSIL depends what u want the scooter for. Yes you can get a seat for it and oil brakes are a lot better than mechanical brakes.
In fact, you can leave the whole rubber mat on instead of cutting it into gasket!
Yeah i thought about that. Either way will work just fine.
But wouldn't the battery get hotter with no air. Think about that...
do you know what the battery configuration on the scooter is. like what does the label on it say?
Is it a good idea to put sponge in next to the battery to absorb water
I guess you could. Never really thought about that. Not a bad insurance policy, but if was to get water in my deck i would take out the battery and dry it all up. I get your point with the sponge though.
Question: Why didn't you just leave the "whole rubber sheet" as it is? Maybe it will get TOO HOT inside?
exactly the same question afrer viewing that major part of heat distributed by top alu plate
Yes because of heat.
How do you tighten up the suspension on a D6 plus
There is a nut that sits on top of the spring. Clockwise it makes it stiffer. Counter clockwise makes it softer.
please help me out what is the size of the rubber thank you
Maybe rtv both rings and gaskets,,,, just say'n

Rs7. They don't sell it on there website anymore but you can still find the same model from different distributors.
I hope the LS7 has a good seal😢
Flex Seal it
Hello. For dualtron thunder which kind of rubber you suggest to sealing the battery box?
Just any thin off the shelf rubber will work, but just remember you want to get really thin material or the lid will not close down properly.
@@wattsinyours ok but a silicon rubber?
