    Small note: In case I mistakingly said 'Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege' it should be just 'Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite' (NO 'privilege'!) but still, the best card for airport lounges I've seen so far. I'm going to use it again soon when I transit in Japan-and wow do they have yummy looking set menus served in their lounges!

    At the end you said you can close unused credit cards.
    I have few free unused credit cards, isn't closing them going to affect my credit score??!

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It will affect your credit score indirectly; In a sense that these closed cards can no longer contribute to the score (e.g. age of your credit, credit mix). Despite this I have still closed a card in the past, because I had another credit card and felt that the benefit of closing the card (less admin, etc.( outweighed the overall effect it might have on my credit score. Hope that helps!

    Hi as usual, great info. Been a subscriber for sometime now. May I know how many guests can you bring along to the lounge per visit? Like for example, i get this card, will i get to bring my wife as a guest in the lounge?

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We used one account for the two of us. I don't know what the upper limit is, but it definitely works for 2 people!

      I have the same question and will use the free airport lounge with CIBC Aventura Gold Visa. I and my wife both have this card under same account, hopefully as you said it will work for 2 for every visit.

    So, how many people can use the lounge on one pass? For example for a family of 4 did you have to use 4 out of 6 passes, for a 4 hour stay? Or just one pass for a family of 4 was enough for one 4 hour stay?

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's one pass per person. We used 2 passes out of the 6, for the two of us (based on one membership). I'm not sure how many people can use one membership, perhaps someone who went with more than 2 can help out in the comments here!

    Do you know if the renewal process for the 6 lounges entries in the scotiabank visa is by calendar year or every year from the date you got the card? Thanks for this video which has been super valuable! 🙏

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I haven't gotten to either, so I don't know. But this is what it says in Scotiabank's passport card TnCs "Unless the Program membership is suspended or cancelled, the Program membership and any included complimentary lounge visits (if applicable) will automatically renew annually on the anniversary date (based on date when the Cardholder enrolled for the Program)." Which is good news!!

    Not related to this post. Can Presto cards be used all over Canada? Or just Toronto areas? And can you share the link where i can get the bus or subway routes?

    • @StrifePulse
      @StrifePulse 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The physical card can be used in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area as well as OC Transpo in Ottawa but the digital PRESTO in Apple and Google Wallets can only be used in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas.

    Remember to cancel the card within a year, you don't wanna incur a loss of $139 the next year.

      Definitely, if you don't plan on using it again to that extent. But for some people it can make sense to keep it (if they really want to use those 6 passes, it can be worth it.)
